The color was not what I requested, however Mi Mi did offer to change the polish, but after seeing how awful the actual nails were I just decided to leave. The service is hit or miss I have now come to see. I got a very simple set put on Saturday evening and the sizes of my nails done match up and on one of my nails the polish is starting to come off. I have had these nails on for less than 48 hours. Yes we were the last customers of the day but that doesn't mean that the service should lack. And to top it off I paid $60 for my full set that is basic and my sister who got a complicated full set on was only $55. read more

I have been coming here for over 20 years, specially to see Helen to wax my eyebrows. She listens to me and is great at following the shape of my face. She is available very quickly with a quick text or call ahead. Sometimes I just stop in and wait, she's worth it! I lived out of state for 5 years and would wait until I came home for a visit to wax my eyebrows whenever possible. She also has an incredible memory and is so sweet. He's a quite man, doesn't speak the best english,so I wouldn't recommend engaging in a long conversation if you have him, but he's very sweet and genuine, and he's very great at what he does. The man (Harris) who did my simple color gel change was AWFUL. I'm 35 weeks pregnant, he jerked my arm towards him. Filed my nails extremely rough even after I mentioned to him 3 times he was being a bit too rough.. My nails were a beautiful shape before (from my go to nail salon, they were just packed on appointments today) And now my shape is so different from each nail. I also got a pedicure from someone different and she was extremely nice, but cut 3 toes with the electric drill. First and LAST time here. read more

I was really disappointed with the service I received recently. I explained that I didn't want to cut my nails because I had been growing my nails out. The nail tech I had, Harris, was not gentle at all when removing the gel polish I had previously, at first he removed the first two with no issue. After that he started using an artificial nail to pull the old stuff off and he was being rough, he ripped four of my nails off. I began to cry and asked him to stop. He quickly glued on three nails before Amy the owner came over and noticed me crying. He started talking to her telling her whatever he was telling her and she looked at me and said that he said my nails were all decayed and he couldn't help it. I told her that wasn't true and showed her the nail he hadn't covered yet that he had torn apart. I wish it would have ended there, unfortunately, it just gets worse form there. Harris glued a tip on crooked and when I told him it was crooked he ignored me and Amy said "it's okay, he will fix it" she said something to him and he became filing one side..... ummm it was still crooked.... Still is now.... Then they tell me they don't have any sparkly brown nail polish or nude which was what I had showed them at first.... So I was trying to see what else and they are ready for the color so they keep asking me what color. I pick a sparkly color and ask for a nude type of color and they choose a light pink. Now I had shown the picture of what I wanted before I started and no one ever said they couldn't do the design. Until we get to the end and they are saying they can't. I said I could wait for someone who could.... I'd already been there for two hours at this point so what did it matter.... Harris said he could do it, it was two dots for eyes a big dot for a nose and antlers... he drew the antlers upside down even though he took my phone and I had enlarged the picture and flipped it so it was upside down. He realized and fixed his mistake. Then he connected the antlers to the eyes and I told him that that was not like the picture.... He fixed it and continued with his work.... My nails hurt so bad after I was done. He even cut the skin on my pinky and my thumb. I have never had such a bad experience. It was actually a present from my boyfriend for my birthday so when I got home in tears he asked what had happened... my nails look nothing like what I asked for... they look more like Valentine's Day then Christmas. My boyfriend called them and asked to talk to Amy, she tried to brush it off like it was nothing and told my boyfriend I was really nice to them and that I had spent two hours with them... he said it's because that's the type of person that I am, but to have that experience and come home in pain with my nails torn and paying full price after being put through all that was not right! Especially when they said that it was a $30 special and I clarified that before I started.... Of course the gel was $10 more and I was told that, but I wasn't told that the design was an additional charge, even though I figured there would be, but from a $30 special to $55 for all that... In the end Amy told my boyfriend they did nothing wrong and that I was acting like a kid. Not professional at all. read more

I have gone to Nails Advantage numerous times & have received excellent service from Phen & Tammy. However, my recent visit with my daughter was not a pleasant experience for her. The cuticles on her toes were cut too short & she tried to tell Helen that it was hurting her. Then Helen had to leave to give a facial & Amy finished the pedicure. Again, cutting more cuticles which hurt. Lastly, she put old polish on my daughter's toes. She went back to talk to Amy the next day & ask for a refund. She was offered $10. My daughter insisted on a full refund $35. Amy was rude to her, did not even apologize, but finally refunded the full amount. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to Nails Advantage because of the attitude of the owner, Amy. read more

Just went for a manicure and pedicure and pedicure and it was AMAZING! I have NEVER been so pampered and felt so cared about ever getting my nails done and I've gone to a LOT of salons in the area. One thing that is so respectful and refreshing is they don't talk to each other in a different language. I have been to other salons that do it and it feels like they are saying stuff about me. I have been coming to Nails Advantage every 3 weeks for the past year and a half. I have always booked with Mimi and loved my nails. I booked an appointment on my birthday with Mimi excited to get my nails done. However, when I arrived at the salon the day of my appointment I was told that she was no longer available. So a new nail artist offered to do my nails. I showed multiple pictures of simple designs and none of them could be accomplished. extremely frustrated I got a color on my nails so I would just be able to leave, they asked if I was getting my pedicure still after I hated my nails and was lied to about being able to book with my nail artist. I said no I did not want any other services from them. The Manger on shift Amy told me that since it was my birthday and I was a regular customer and they messed up my nails the pedicure would be on the house. So I stayed and got my pedicure. However when I went to pay she accused me of not paying for a service she said would be free and then became hostile, forcing me to have to pay for a service that I was promised would be free. I spent 3 and a half hours getting a gel manicure and pedicure just for them both to look awful. I asked for a call from the owner to work this out privately but I have no since had my phone number blocked from calling the salon. Horrible business read more

My favorite is Mee because she does perfect work and it stays on for upto 4 weeks without peeling. But of course we always try to go every 2-3 weeks. They even care for grandma Lola and help her in and out of the pedi chair and assist her as she can't walk very well, but lovesto get gel mani & pedi. I went in needing a fill on powder dio and got Harris, who I was hoping NOT to get since he cut my fingers up with electric filer every time. When I went in, I was the only customer so they were not busy, yet he decided to do my nails while I was getting a pedicure. They should NEVER try to cram both services in one. That's the reason ppl go on and get pedicures for the relaxation and the chair massage. Well, he proceeded to do my nails and fucking cut my cuticle so bad again. He blamed it on the chair massage which was not moving my arm at all. The last time I was in he just started cutting my cultíveles dry without a soak at all. Now the pedicure, the massage was okay, my nail polish and toenail cut is crooked af. I will NEVER be back. Also beware they say only take cash, which is shady as fuck. Today was my first visit to Nails Advantage since I was in Rocklin, CA, visiting a friend for the weekend. I took a chance as a walk-in and was able to get a pedicure within 10 minutes. Holly was my technician and she did an incredible job. I asked her about their eyebrows service & she checked with Helen to see if she had any openings. Helen was able to take me in after my pedicure. Due to sensitive skin and a reaction to the wax, she agreed to tweeze my eyebrows. Both ladies are very accommodating. Two other ladies then walked in after and the lady doing my manicure said someone else would do mine as she started to work on one of the ladies and called someone from back to work on the other. Nails Advantage, specifically Helen, is amazing. I have been a customer of Helen's (at Nails Advantage) for almost 10 years now, since I was 13. I since moved to Tucson, AZ for college and have started my career there. Regardless, I will only go to Helen for eyebrow and lip waxing. I go to her for waxing every couple of months when I come home. She is definitely the best waxing esthetician I have ever been to. I am very picky about little hairs being left behind and she always gets every single one. If not first by waxing, then by tweezing. She does a great job at keeping the natural shape of your eyebrows, while cleaning up excess hair. Unfortunately, because of her precision and wonderful personality, I am too scared to try anywhere else. :) I simply don't believe anyone else can work the magic she does. I could not recommend Helen more. I will go to her for waxing for as long as I possibly can! I really wish there was an option for zero stars. I went to get my eye brows done here since my usual place was closed. The wax was not even hot enough for the lady to spread it. I asked for thinner, arched and cleaned up. I got nothing like that. Doesn't even look like they were even done. I had to ask multiple times if the wax was even on. I spoke to the manager and she told me that the lady that waxed my eye brows ISN'T even a waxer that their usual waxer is out of town. So now I have to pay additional money to have them done again. They sat me at a pedicure chair then this couple walked in and then they moved me down a chair to accommodate them.
