Another amazing pedicure with grandma, love relaxing in these chairs! Grandma loves getting the gel!

I visited over a month ago and just wanted nail polish on my nails. I was pressured to do gel instead. When I came back 3 weeks ago to get the gel removed and get regular paint, they shaved all the gel off without soaking in acetone. My painted nails came out bumpy. Now that I removed the nail polish, I can see the damage to my nail beds. I also felt like I wasn't treated as nicely as the other people who were getting gel manis and pedis. I felt like I wasn't offered water because I wanted basic service while the others had a warm welcome and were offered beverages from the owner. I feel sad that it will take time for my damaged nail beds to grow off. read more

I've tried to give this salon multiple chances because I've enjoyed some of the services, but the ongoing issues with professionalism and respect for clients' time along with inconsistent quality of work have become too frustrating to ignore. From the beginning, the owner has been overly pushy about reviews, handing out cards and pressuring clients to promote the business. I understand wanting to grow, but the approach feels uncomfortable and off putting rather than appreciative. More importantly, there has been a consistent lack of respect for appointment times. On several occasions, I have clearly communicated that I have a limited window and scheduled accordingly, only to arrive and be told I need to wait anywhere form 10 to 30 minutes. This has happened multiple times, not just once or twice. At that point, it is no longer an occasional delay, it is a pattern. To make matters worse, I have been seated for a pedicure and left waiting with my feet in a dry bowl without even having the water started for 20 to 30 minutes with minimal communication which led me to just getting up and leaving. That is unacceptable and unprofessional. When clients make the effort to schedule ahead and communicate their availability, that time should be respected. Repeatedly overbooking or running behind without regard for appointments shows a lack of consideration and professionalism. Unfortunately, this ongoing issue has pushed me to the point where I will no longer be returning. I hope the salon takes this feedback seriously and improves how it values customers' time. read more

It's been almost 2 months since I had my most recent gel manicure that was done by Danny. When I started coming here consistently, my real nails were healthy and long. I also indulged in the gel pedicure every other visit. The massage is what I look forward to the most... I was here every 3 weeks getting something done. However, on this last visit for my gel manicure, the older gentlemen nail tech named Danny had a hard time taking the gel polish off. So he did something he should never do... He soaked my real nails in acetone. I'm not talking a soaked cotton ball on my nail. He made up sandwich bags with acetone in them and told me to submerge my nails in them. Me thinking that they know what they are doing, trusted him. THIS MAKES YOUR NAILS BRITTLE. Less than 24 hours later, the gel polish on my nail started peeling. I went back the very next day and he fixed it... just for it to peel off again before the end of that day. I do not have time to keep going back to fix my nails... The next day, another startd peeling and then my nails all started breaking. Not one. Not two. Not four. All of my nails broke after coming here. Not just the white part of your nail that grows out that you can clip. We're talking several nails, in the pink area of your finger nails, where you can't cut them. That hurts so much! These days, I work around 100 hours a week and I have ZERO time to keep coming back. One time, that's ok. Now than that, with you or the nail tech are doing something wrong. Danny ruined my nails. My real nails that I love to keep long. I did go back after 3 weeks to get a pedicure. I really wanted to and was able to personally talk to Keim. First I talked to her on the phone on the phone and she wanted to see my nails. 9/10 of my nails were wrecked and she knows that when I would come back to get them redone, my nails would still look fabulous after 3 weeks. Practically untouched except for the growth. On the phone, I told her I didn't want anything in my nails because of what what happening. She acknowledged that she needs to keep an eye on her nail techs to make sure they are doing the correct procedures. When she saw my nails in person the same day at our appointment, she offered to take the gel polish off. Turns out, there is a correct way to take the gel polish off and it doesn't involve soaking your nails in acetone. Then she charged me $10 after offering to take off the crappy job done by her tech, Danny. Thanks Keim. I have decided I am not coming back here. To this day, 2 months later, my nails are still brittle and breaking. My nails are ruined until they do a full growth cycle and that will take months. I did give an extra star rating for how kind they were, but the service on my gel manicure was a complete fail. read more

I went to Rocklin Nails with my friend and we were both extremely disappointed with the experience. I got short, basic nails with a simple polka dot design and was charged over $100, which felt way too expensive for such a simple service. My friend had originally booked a Gel-X appointment, but the technician told her she had "nice nails" and refused to do Gel-X, even though that was the service she scheduled and wanted. She ended up getting just a regular gel manicure with no added length and was still charged over $75. Even though our nails looked nothing like the design we showed. The staff also told us they would give us a "student discount" since we didn't know about their prices, but in the end we didn't receive any discount at all. On top of that, they forgot about my friend and didn't start her appointment until about 30 minutes after mine had already begun. At the end, they gave me a $5 gift card and a business card, encouraging me to come back and recommend them to others. After this experience and the prices we were charged, it felt very disappointing and unprofessional. read more

Yesterday, I had a great experience at this nail salon. Recently moved to the area and needed to find a new nail salon. This was my second time here and I think I've found the right place. Phoebe did an excellent job on my builder gel manicure. Hana also did an excellent job on my gel pedicure. Hana gave the best massage with my pedicure!!! Both ladies were very sweet and very thorough. All of the staff appeared very friendly and provided great customer service. I was even offered a beverage which was really nice. Too much confusion with appointments. My first nail appointment I made using their online system with Kym. I arrived at my appointment and Kym wasn't there so Joan did my nails. She did a fantastic job. For my next appointment I used their online system and made my appointment with Joan. When I arrived at my appointment I was told Joan doesn't work on Sunday's so someone else did my nails. The next time I called in to make my appointment with Joan. My appointment was made for 4:30, today I get a call at 11:30 telling me I missed my 10:30 appointment, nope I made my appointment for 4:30. Kym tells me she's made my appt for 4:30 then calls me back to tell me 4:30 isn't available with Joan because someone else has that time, the time I called in and booked on the phone with Kym 6 days ago. read more

Just got a pedicure here and I am super impressed by the service. First of all, I like how they use new items that are packaged. The nail file, buffer, foot scrubber and toe separator were all brand new. Even the lotion was from a single use pod. The customer service was also excellent. They greeted me upon entry, offered me water and checked on me during every step of the process to make sure I was happy and comfortable. The place is also newly remodeled and nice. It is my understanding that this was formerly T Nails and it was taken over last month by a new owner. I definitely would highly recommend checking them out and giving them a try. Made an appointment for my daughter and I for a pedicure. We arrived on time, and they had us take our shoes off and put our feet in the water. They started my daughter, but I sat in the cooling water for over 30 minutes. I would not recommend this shop because they did not provide me with the courtesy of letting us know we would not receive service together and there would be a wait. Most businesses would have called or at least provide notification before they put us both in the water. Since we traveled to the appointment together, I waited over 30 minutes for service and then my daughter had to wait over 30 minutes for me to finish. Ugh!! read more

After going here a few times I realized that the owner is just about reviews. My nails never lasted more than a week. Instead of going back, I have decided to wait weeks to go to a reputable salon. The nails looked beautiful at first but chipping means they aren't using quality products. I thought about going back but after 2 times of receiving bad quality I decided it was not a fit for me. The owner is super nice, but she made sure the nail tech knew I had a previous issue and it made me very uncomfortable. 1 week nails are not worth my time and money. This has been my go-to nail salon since I moved here 6 months ago -- until now. I had an appointment today at 4pm for a manicure with my usual tech, Leo. Unfortunately, the experience left me extremely disappointed and honestly hurt. When I arrived, I had to wait 40 minutes past my appointment time. I patiently waited, and once Leo began, I politely shared a couple of concerns about my previous set -mentioning that (they were thick and curvy) and asked if we could avoid that this time. He acknowledged my feedback and said it was no problem. I then showed him a photo of the design I wanted -- again, he assured me it was doable. But as the appointment went on and the design shape wasn't turning out how I liked, I gently made a suggestion. That's when Leo suddenly lashed out, saying this would be the last time he does my nails and that I should never request him again. I was stunned. His tone was completely uncalled for and made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. He rushed through the rest of the appointment, didn't do the design we agreed on, and wrapped up without any effort to communicate further. I left feeling upset and confused about how things escalated so quickly. It was deeply unprofessional and honestly left a sour taste in my mouth. I'm sharing this because I believe customers deserve to be treated with respect -- especially regulars who have been loyal and kind. Sadly, I won't be returning, and I hope this feedback helps the management address how clients are spoken to and treated. read more

I've been searching for a place that offers Gel-x and randomly found this place on social media. I did some snooping and turns out they offered Gel-x and builder Gel!!! That's awesome. I've never had either one before and have been looking for alternatives for my nails. So far most places I've been to either prefers to use acrylic to overlay my real nails or dip powder. To me, both materials makes my nails thick and bulky and I'm looking for a nice thin overlay to protect my nails from breaking. I called and set up an appt with Kim for Gel-x extensions but when I got in she took at look at my outgrown nails, asked me a few questions and recommended alternatives based on my needs. Phoebe worked on my nails using builder gel, she took her time filing off my thick old acrylic, and explained the difference between gel x extension and builder gel. Kim immediately made me feel like I'm a friend instead of a customer. We chatted, we talked nails and designs, I feel like I'm stopping in for a visit. I kind of want to gate keep this place because I want them all to myself, but I also know we all deserve to have a good nail salon and this place is the best I've been to in a very long time. read more

A Rocklin Gem! Just discovered this place driving by...LOVE IT! This nail salon is very classy, relaxing, and pretty. We enjoyed the music and the massage chairs, we were able to relax and enjoy our experience. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Rocklin Nails! I saw an ad for it on Instagram last month and decided to make an appointment to check it out. I've always been really simple/classic with my manicures but after seeing other customers getting beautiful designs (like the Japanese/Korean nail art) I decided to try it too. Kim (the owner) is so sweet. She walked me through all of the different types and recommended Gel builder on my natural nails. As we talked throughout the appointment she could tell that I probably wasn't ready for the intricate designs like her other well established clients, and started me off with a very light natural pink so I can get used to the gel builder first, then if I liked it, I can come back for next mani and get the really detailed designs. I really appreciated that she cared more about making sure I'd be happy with my nails instead of pushing for the most expensive set. I got the luxury pedi w/ Hanna and it was wonderful! She took her time, was very thorough, & gave an excellent massage. Overall, I had a great experience and so happy to find a great salon in this area. I got a gel pedicure and manicure! They were able to do it at the same time which was so helpful because I just had a baby and can't be away for too long. They were fast but also made sure to do a very good job cleaning up my cuticles and shaping my nails well.
