A follow-up to my previous impressive gushing review as I really want to love this place. The amount of time we spent there: B+/- for two of us, mani and pedi for each of us, and only Sandy working, AND going out of her way to take us on New Years day, I can't be too upset for it taking over 6 hours. The price: C- Pretty steep IMO. With tip, I paid $295. This was a discounted rate for a New Year special and it included a $20 cert for each of us on our next return. Comfort: A / A-. The place is beautiful. I love the pink tree and flower wall and decor. The place was pleasant smelling - not like nail polish as I expected. Though I was ready to go home and my foot water got cold before she got to my pedi. The foot massage was very nice. Company: A+ Sandy is very nice and personable and no communication issues. Very much enjoyed her company. Quality of work: A and F. The A part: My niece got pretty long tips and a nice pedi. They were all still intact 5 days later when she left to go home. The F part: My toes (some new tiger eye gel stuff) snagged all night on my sheets. Got up early to notice one of my toenails either started to cut too short or broke part-way with polish over it. No big deal, finished cutting it and filed it down. Two toenails were just snagging where they were cut but not filed. One other toenail, the gel just fell off somewhere. I know it was there - I watched her put it on, but by morning, it was gone. The next day, just half of another toenail came off leaving a shrarp ridgid line between polish and no polish. One foot got 3 coats of gel while the other only got 2. I didn't say anything as she had already started moving to the topcoat and it is still winter so nobody will see it. The worst part: My fingernails - to be fair, they were pretty jacked up to start with as I normally wear dip and long past their expiration. I ended up with new dip with gel on top and short and stubby uneven nails. I did ask to keep as much of the length as possible, but I only got that on one nail. The 2nd day into it, one nail chipped. Day 3, the whole nail - dip and gel polish disappeared while I was making a large dinner for in-town family and friends. I had to throw out the ENTIRE thing to save major embarrassment of not knowing where this fingernail had gone. Humiliating to throw away dinner when everyone is hungry. Another $500 to take everyone out because of a failed nail job. By day 7 - Just a week into it, I was down 4 fingernails and 2 1/2 toenails. I was able to swing into Creative Nails to get the rest of the gel off my 6 remaining fingernails on Saturday the 11th. Sandy wasn't there. 2 other men were and I asked for help to get them off. One of them pulled the container of nail tips and used one to pop the rest of them off. I asked if he had acetone or something else. 'He said this is healthier.' and proceeded to pop them off. Pretty uncomfortable and there isn't much of my natural nailbed left. Hell, I could have done that myself and possibly salvaged a bit of my own nails that are now super thin, flimsy, peeling, rough and breaking. After he told me I owed him $10., I wasn't about to show him my feet. I was pretty upset he even asking me to pay (and I told him they were just done), I forgot to use my $20 coupon. UGH. Sorry Sandy, I thought I found a gem, but I won't be back. read more

Took my daughter to get her first acrylics for promotion. We had two appointments booked for 10, I wanted it to be a fun mother daughter event. When we arrived there was only one employee available. 40 minutes later a couple other employees arrived. (Mind you this is 40 minutes after my appointment time) No one even asked if I was waiting for a service. They then tried upselling my daughter and another customer to get pedicures. So one started a pedicure and the other disappeared in the back. By that point I was so annoyed I never even asked to get my full set. I'll keep my money, thanks. Very disappointed that I had two appointments booked and no one there to do my nails. Thank goodness I let my daughter sit down first since it was her special day. He did an amazing job on her nails. Shape and color are great. But it took over two hours, which is longer than I expected. Quality is good. The space is nice. But customer service is lacking. Really disappointing experience. Why even have customers make appointments if you aren't going to staff for them. read more

PLEASE READ REVIEW BEFORE SPEDNING MONEY HERE. just save yourself the time & money and do not go to this place.... i came the first time on Nov. 18th and when I called they said they had Gel x . i have contact dermatitis so i CANNOT use regular acrylic because it'll make my cuticles swell & itchy. i explained this to them FIVE times. when i arrived to the salon, the guy had no clue what i was talking about. he then called his boss, Sandy, who said the person who does the "Gel X" is not in the salon, and wouldn't be for another 45 minutes. i bit my tongue and got a regular dip set. it didn't irritate my cuticles, however it did take 3.5 hours for a decently simple set of nails- I liked them. they lasted about 2.5 weeks which is not long at all. i came in on december 14th with my mom to get the special pedicures they are offering for christmas. it was the second time we came so we still had decent expectations- the pedicure came out good however for $85 it was not worth it. they forgot the hot rock massage which i prefaced in the beginning i really wanted to get. they also forgot the paraffin wax & lotion at the end.... i feel like these are pretty simple things they forgot... i asked my mom if she got all those things, and she said she did. i dont know if the guy i had was rushing or what... but i got a really really basic gel pedicure with some peppermint oil added to my water for a rip off $85..... i had been growing my nails out for about 2 weeks- since the last set had completely fallen off lol. they looked ok- pretty healthy. Sandy noticed i didn't have nails on , so she asked if i wanted a full set - i asked if she did the gel x, and she said she does something similar called "polygel". i'm familiar as i've gone to cosmetology school and know what this product is and how it works. i agreed, showed her a simple set and holy crap..... what a DISASTER. i will attached photos of what these atrocities looked like. i will also attach a pic of what i showed Sandy. VERY simple. the gold, i have no idea where that came from. randomly she asked if i was a gold or silver girl. i said i loved gold. i shortly after got a call from my boyfriend asking where the hell i was, since i had been there for close to 6 hours on a Saturday. she then proceeded to add these thick gold lines to the french tip. before i could say anything, she threw them in the curing lamp. at that point, 6.5 hours in, i really just wanted to go home. they were playing horrible rap music and randomly peppa pig would come on, and then donald trump interviews in vietnamese?????? so weird. my boyfriend purchased tickets to a movie at 7:45. i asked Sandy if i would be out by then, which she assured me i would. her husband ? maybe i don't know, said it would be about 15 more minutes. this was around 7:10. i was not out until 7:38. i had to rush home, which we then went to the movies. when i got home around 10:30, i was washing a few dishes and the first nail popped off. i was so pissed. i then 15 minutes later went to wash my face. another 3 nails cracked at the apex of my nail. photos attached. i texted Sandy to let her know what happened and she asked if i could come in on a monday which i work , and i told her that wouldn't work. we then went back and fourth, photos attached. Such incredibly kind people, but my nails turned out disastrous. I got a removal and a full set, three nails are crooked, they are all different shapes, thick, and I was there for 3 hours (no wait, that's just how long it took). I didn't do any designs and got a very common shape. By the time I was done, I was late for an event and so disappointed that I just decided not to say anything and left a 20% tip regardless. I don't doubt there are some talented people working in there, in fact I prayed one may step in.. but unfortunately, the gentleman I had should not be doing acrylics. read more

Both my daughter and I had dip nails done and it took over 2 hrs. Our nails were over filed and the work was very sloppy. The next day, my nail popped off and I had to get them redone. 2-1/2 hours to receive a fill as well as replacing three acrylic nails is about 90 minutes tooooo long. I thought the first time I went it was because my nails had lifted from a previous salon, but it happened again today. I started going to creative nail salon a few months ago which started out great. My nails were good and lasted long. There was only one professional nail tech that could do the job I wanted and he wasn't busy at the time. I guess he was new. The more word got out, the busier he was. He was already a little slow but he did good work but the more ppl were waiting the more rushed he got. The few more times I went, my nails started to break. I live about 30 mins away so I would have to drive over there to have them fixed. This last time, I went and he was running behind(again) and Sandy told me to come back 2 HOURS later. I calmly left knowing I wouldn't return. I found a salon on my way home that does EVERYTHING and is closer to my house. I asked her to cancel my appointment two hours from then. I never received an apology or anything for my time after I showed up on time. Sandy talks a lot as a distraction from the pricing and poor service. The nail tech never looked in my direction. There are PLENTY of places that do the same work with more nail techs at the salon. Don't even chance it. read more

Just tried out this nail place for the first time today since I live right down the street. Got the basic pedicure and the lady that did my nails did a great job! I did come in with a broken foot and she was super careful and understanding. I do think that they could improve the ambiance just a bit, although I know they're fairly new so I'm they're still getting adjusted. I found myself stranded at the nearby Safelite for "2-3 hours" and looked up what was nearby. Creative Nails was a 5 min walk and when I called they said they had availability for a pedicure. It's not easy writing reviews when the people are nice however they can't deliver on what your asking. I found them on Yelp and looked at there website / pictures and price list . When I got there I showed them a picture of tortoise pattern for my nails, and she was like, " I'll try"- she attempted but wasn't even close ( but props for trying though!) however, I then was rushed to figure out another design/color. The whole time there I felt rushed and unable to relax Then went to pay and they gave me a different price then the price list that is attached to their website and also connected to Yelp. I even showed her the price discrepancy. I asked why so much there was a extra cost for a 'design'; but I got two dots on each nail and she charged me $15; it took not even 2 min to do all, really?!? And, pedicure was subpar; paint job sloppy. I wanted to love this place, but recommend finding another nail salon. read more

I have been to creative nails a total of three times. The first time was for my brother's wedding and it went great. My nails were wonderful, looked great for the wedding, and lasted beautifully. So I decided I would go back. The two times I have been back since have gone much differently. Both times I went, I had to wait at least a half an hour before they were ready to start. I told both of the nail techs that I worked with what I wanted and even showed them a picture. I told both of them several times that I'd like them shorter and both of them responded with." they will be shorter when I file them." They did not ask a lot of questions or communicate very well to make sure that I was happy as they were doing my nails. Overall, I feel like I was treated very unprofessionally both times that I was there recently. They made me wait before they started my nails and I ended up being there for a total of 2 1/2 hours each time. The overall atmosphere of the place was very much "we are the experts. Let us do what we do." And also they tried to tell me that I did not tell them what I wanted or that I did not like something which is not true! Also the salon was not very clean! The nail brush by the sink had no disinfectant/sanitizer in the dish to clean it in between customers. The waiting area is very clustered with things all over the table and garbage under the bench. It was not dusted or swept. the tip for the Dremel tool that they were using came out of a container that said "soiled"on it. if they were clean tips, they should have taken that label off. Overall just could have been a lot cleaner and neater. Needless to say I will not be going back! One last note is they cut several of my fingers while filing. -unprofessional -Does not communicate and gets frustrated with communication. - somewhat dirty. Could be a lot cleaner!! read more

I moved to the area about four months ago and have been looking for a nail place that had positive reviews, was friendly and close to home. I went to creative nails and received the best service! Laura did my manicure with powder nails, and I love them! Savannah did my pedicure and I was equally as happy with it. Called and scheduled a morning appointment for today and was able to be easily fit in. Which is nice since I prefer to have weekend morning appointments due to my work schedule during the week. Laura did my nails and was very detailed, she made sure I liked the shape and colors we had picked saying we could always change it after seeing one nail if I was unsure on what I had selected. I got a mani and peti done by Minh and he did an amazing job! He took his time and did everything I like, ie: cutting my cuticles. Time is so important to me when it comes to my nail salon I choose to go to. If you rush, it's not relaxing and not done the correct way.. I have been going to this location for my nails for about 7 years and Minh has done the best by far. Also, the atmosphere is fantastic!
