I stopped by here on a Thursday afternoon for a gel manicure after reading the reviews in Yelp. I thought I'd give this place a try seeing how hard it is to find a decent nail salon these days. First off, I was immediately able to be sat at a nail station and thought all was well but then walked in 4 other women shortly right after me. Please keep in mind, there were only three nail techs at the time and two of them were busy and the one who sat me down. So instead of getting the attention I deserved as a paying customer, I was shuffled between two nail techs at two different nail stations. Secondly, I didn't see any clean utensils being used and I did ask and was told that they were but I know that when utensils are cleaned, they are sealed in a clear bag and that was not the case here. Third, Kim the nail tech who finished working on my nails, used her own nails to wipe off the gel nail polish from my fingers; totally grossed me out! Aren't there tools for that? Overall, it took 1 hour 30 mins for a gel manicure that should've only taken at most 45 minutes. I will not go back. If you're looking for a budget nail salon and don't care about clean utensils or quality service, go for it!

First of all, this place needs to sanatize their place more often. No one seemed to clean properly between each customer. They would just grab a rag and do a quick sweep. Secondly, Tom and the other lady who did my nails were nice people however my nails weren't that great. The lady who did my nails left too many bubbles on my nails and they didn't even know what stiletto shape was. They didn't have any fall leafs when I went. And for color options they didn't have many either. Overall it was an okay service but I won't be coming back.

Had a walk-in pedicure. It was very relaxing and very affordable. I got the basic pedicure which starts at $22, I saw some of the other options and when I have more time I would love to get the top package at $40 with essential oils, paraffin wax, a hot stone massage and more. The people here are incredibly nice and diligent in their work. I will definitely be coming back! Thank You!

If I have the ability to give this location a negative star I would. I spent $35 ($10 more than I typically do) for dip powder. The dip powder I chose and what I got for two completely different colors. I express my dissatisfaction at the beginning telling him that the color used looked very discolored however he blew it off. At the end I continue to tell him that I was unsatisfied and that I would be taking the nail polish off when I got home and he still charge me full price. He did not offer to redo them nor did he offer a discount. I will never go back to this location again and I hope you will not either. It was a definite waste of money time and effort. I would like to add that the person who did my nails was very rough and continued to pull my hand and fingers even when I had told him that what he was doing was hurting.

Well, wanted to get a pedicure once salons opened after COVID quarantine. This was one of few that were open again and very close to my house so I thought I'd give them a try. First of all, the place was super old looking and the first thing that I should've noticed was the lack of a variety of customers. The majority of the customers were elderly women. Secondly the nail lady cut my nails way too short as if to have less nail to paint. Finally, when I left the salon, I noticed the paint looked yellow and one of them already got messed up. As you can see, the quality is terrible. Spend a little bit more and go to a higher rated place!

I love this place. No matter what I ask for they do their best to make it work and look beautiful! Tom does an amazing job. They are all super nice and the way they treat their elderly clientele will warm your heart!

    My "manicure"

You know how when you go to get your acrylic nails removed, they soak a cotton tip in acetone and wrap your fingernails with foil? 10 minutes later they remove the foil and buff off whatever is left. Not this place. Tom will literally rip off your fingernails one by one without soaking them first. He will take a acrylic fingernail tip, slide it literally in between your fake nail and your real nail and slide it all the way down to your cuticle and pop it off. I've never given birth, but I imagine this pain is pretty close to the pain of childbirth. Tom is a decent enough guy, and his wife is nice. But the fact that they only have six dip colors because it's "not very popular" and the way they remove your fingernails, I would never return. My last manicure is very unfortunate, I was left with hands that belong to a softball coach

I'm pleasantly surprised with this nail shop. It's only a few blocks away from me, yet I always chase the Groupon with nail services which usually puts me in Sac. With what I was wasting in gas for a $10 salon savings, I just had a wake-up call-- probably not worth it. I felt the need to find a local place that's within a mile of my house and this is it. They don't "wow" me but they listened to my request (and Pinterest pics) and came thru. I just wanted a gel "fill" which is basically removing and re-doing gel and I wanted super natural (not French) so the outgrowth would last me a month since I'm having surgery this week. It was $25 for that, & they did it within an hour which is really all I had to spare that day. I'll be back for sure.

I have been going here for close to 5yrs! I left to try closer nail places for a couple of months. They were nowhere as clean as Trendy Nails!!! I walked back in there and they still remember me I love that I show them a pic of what I want and they make it work or sometimes something better...They offer so many services, this place is great for a girls day (just don't forget the wine ) Some advice, definetly call and make an appt.! They are popular

My little daughter first got her nails painted here at the age of 8 (by Tom, I think is his name) and she loved the entire experience.

She is now available in Roseville so after finding the location on Yelp I paid for a brow, lip, and bikini wax for the following day. Sarah did a great job, she was fast and thorough. It was evident she had been doing this for a while and was very good at her job. The location in Roseville is great! Ample parking, friendly receptionist, complimentary coffee, and very clean and well presented. I've found my new go-to person!

I visited Sara Holmes at Illuminated Skincare for a microblading session, trusting her expertise after 15 years in the industry. Unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of a disaster, and I strongly advise anyone considering her services to proceed with extreme caution. Here are a few reasons why: 1. No Clarity:I showed Sara a reference photo for my microblading session, but she went beyond what I asked for. Without me asking, she used a tattoo gun to shade my eyebrows, leaving them too dark, too thin, and uneven. The result didn't resemble the photo at all, and I immediately knew something was wrong. 2. Dismissive Attitude During the Session:When I pointed out the issues at the end of the session, Sara denied there was a problem and insisted the brows looked good. She assured me that the brows would fade and any imperfections could be fixed during the "perfecting session." I trusted her, but the damage was already done. 3. Ignored Aftercare Requests:After the session, I messaged Sara to express my concerns, but she left me on read. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, hoping the brows would fade over time. They didn't. I reached out again months later, and again, no response. It wasn't until I found her email, almost a year later, that I finally got a reply. 4. False Apologies and Half-Hearted Corrections:When I finally reconnected with Sara, she admitted the brows were too dark, uneven, and thin and apologized. She offered to correct them for free, which I accepted. However, the correction process was painful, time-consuming, and drawn out: * I had to have three lightening sessions before we could even begin fixing the brows. * I was hesitant to proceed, fearing she'd mess up again and I'd have to start the lightening process all over. * The entire experience felt like a waste of time and money, not to mention the emotional toll of walking around with messed up eyebrows for nearly a year and scars after every session. 5. Inconsistent and Unclear Aftercare Instructions: Sara's aftercare instructions were inconsistent, even for the same procedure. For one session she said to keep them dry for at least 48 hrs, but another session she told me it was okay to wet my brows. This lack of clarity added unnecessary stress and confusion to the healing process. 6. Unprofessionalism and Lack of Communication:Before my appointment, I tried to ask questions via text to ensure I understood the process and my options. Sara became defensive and refused to discuss anything until my appointment. When I asked about the ink being carbon-free (since my brows had turned gray), she snapily responded that she would no longer be providing me with services. She even complained about the free corrections she offered, which felt incredibly unfair. 7. Hygiene and Professionalism Concerns:Sara's fingers always smelled strongly of cigarettes, even after washing. As a non-smoker, this was off-putting and raised questions about her hygiene practices. Additionally, she seemed disinterested and like she didn't want to be there, which made the entire experience uncomfortable. I was really hoping to work with Sara and have my brows corrected. I put my trust in her and highly regret it. Sara did help me get my eyebrows lighter but they still look gray and uneven. Sara's work was sloppy, unprofessional, and lacked basic communication skills. Despite her 15 years of experience, the results were subpar, and her attitude was dismissive and unaccommodating. If you're considering microblading, do your research thoroughly and ensure you choose an artist who listens to your concerns, respects your wishes, and communicates clearly. I do not recommend Sara to anyone, especially those who are more quiet or may struggle to advocate for themselves. Save yourself the stress, time, pain, embarrassment and money.
