I bought a voucher for three procedures. The first appointment went smoothly, and I even recommended it to a friend. However, scheduling the remaining procedures became a nightmare. Sara canceled my appointment twice (ok, things happen). Finally, I had an appointment confirmed, but when I showed up, no one opened the door. The last straw was when I had another confirmed appointment. I arrived, and Sara opened the door just to say, "I don't have appointments today. Bye," and shut the door despite my attempts to show my confirmation. This has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I'm especially upset because I had to hire a nanny for my daughter twice so I could visit Sara for a facial, only to waste my time both times. read more

Firstly, Sara is an exceptionally lovely person. Anyone who has met her will see that she is special, kind, patient, a particular gem... I first had a free consultation with her to discuss what I wanted, then scheduled my microblading appointment. My son came down with the flu the day of, so my appointment was pushed a month out. (She is popular and busy!) The day of the microblading, she spent an extra half hour with me (2.5 hours in total), really taking her time and making sure I was 100% satisfied with what she did. The process itself was less painful than I had thought. (Note that the brows look very dark and full the first day; rest assured knowing they will soften and fade a bit.) Sara gave me a tube of ointment to apply until it runs out. The key is to keep them moist so that the scabbing process is slowed down, and not to let them get wet. As many do, I freaked the next morning (didn't like how they looked), and Sara assured me they would settle in and even out, etc. She did have me come in though a few days afterwards to assess them, hear my concerns and thoughts, and make notes of what to do at our second appointment (which is customarily about a month later). There are a few changes here and there needed to make them more symmetrical. Sara was very gracious to give me a second appointment and make a few changes here and there to have me be % satisfies with my "perfect" brows. I dare say they have somewhat changed my life, in the fact that they have made me feel so good in my skin, and with my face. Brows are incredibly important and the perfect brows really balance out the face and allow you to put your best foot forward. If you're going to give yourself one beauty splurge this year, my advice is microblading, and go with Sara at Glamour Puss. read more

I read all of the reviews on Yelp before going in for microblading. Sara is very personable and she called me back the same day that I left a message. I should have been alarmed when she told me that she did not "measure". My eyebrows are naturally uneven and my first question was whether there was something she could do in order to make them look more even and she assured me that she could. The end result was that they were more uneven and not even my hair color/shade, even though I emailed her with my color (red) before making the appointment. I have been to two other microblading specialists and they have both told me the same thing - that the quality of the job is terrible. She drew a straight line instead of individual strokes and the lines are crooked. Sara may be talented in many areas, but I do NOT RECOMMEND microblading. read more

I purchased a 3 pack of the micro needling. I will say in all fairness, her quality is great. I have her a 1 star due to her lack of replying to messages. I paid for my 3 pack service, and since April, Sara has not replied to my half dozen text messages to schedule my follow up appointments. Not even an acknowledgement that we would get back to me or anything. She has basically taken my money and ran. I will have to dispute the charges on my credit card. read more

Sara did an amazing job with microblading my eyebrows! She has strict attention to detail and is a perfectionist--something that's obviously very important when getting permanent makeup. She has a very calm and relaxed demeanor, however, and I am able to relax when she's working on me. To be honest, I almost fell asleep during my last session. It's clear that she cares about her work, and measures over and over again to make sure everything's perfect. I love that the touch up (4-6week) appointment is free, and she even told me that I can get a third touch up if it's needed in a few spots after these heal. Great customer service! I have always had very thin, sparse eyebrows with no real shape. These look so real and fit my bone structure perfectly. It's amazing what a nice set of brows can do for your confidence. Sara is a MIRACLE WORKER! I have been researching microblading for years now but never got around to doing it. But after drawing in my eyebrows for years having tried every type of brow pencil or gel on the market -- I was sick of the extra 15-30 minutes drawing them in and then wiping them off at night. I even almost missed an important event because I left my brow pencil at home and had to run to a CVS... I knew it was time. And then I met Sara... she literally saved my entire beauty routine. She not only made the entire process so clean, thorough, accurate but she's also an artist when it comes to shaping your brows. She shaped my brows the way I wanted them and even showed me how to draw them in as symmetrical for my face. All of my friends and family have complimented me on my brows (some didn't even know I was drawing them in all these years!) and I absolutely love them. Had to write a review because Sara was amazing. I was very lucky to get in on a great promotional deal to see her. I did a lot of research and ended up going to glamour puss and sure am glad I did! As a teenager, I over plucked and naturally my eyebrow hair was very light and minimal. I have spent so much money on eyebrow makeup, not to mention time. Sometimes I wouldn't know but half my eyebrow would be missing while doing my daily errands, and that can be annoying (and embarrassing!) With 3 little ones, and 2 dogs, any extra time I can get to give to them is super precious to me. So having "done" eyebrows means everything to me, and my confidence! Don't get me wrong, I was super nervous and thought about it for months. Doing something permanent on my face is a huge deal but I am happy with the results and my eyebrows have not even healed yet. Sara numbed my eyebrows when I first went in, measured and shaped them. She then started procedure, I felt very little pain, more uncomfortable then anything for a couple minutes, but she kept reapplying the numbing cream and in no time I was completely fine. I was more then happy that she did not skimp on that cream! Numb, numb, numb is all I wanted and she did not hesitate. In fact, she said she preferred her clients to be pain free because it helps her too! Trust Sara and her opinions with color and shape. She knows best. She's professional and a perfectionist. She also asks for your eyebrow goals beforehand. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to update their look, not worry about painting on eyebrows, someone who wants to increase their confidence, someone who wants to save money in the long run ( Anastasia eyebrow pencils are around $25), and or someone who just wants to frame their face a little bit more. My only advice would be, go conservative on first round, feel it out and on follow up make the necessary add on's. As for parking, it's nearly impossible but the Lombard garage is really close by. For about 2.5 hours I believe I paid $12. Hope this helps in making your decision! read more

Sara is the only person I trust with my brows. I have been coming to Glamour Puss for over a year now and I recently made the switch from eyebrow threading/tinting to microblading. BEST. DECISION. I hate to write a bad review because Sara is so nice, but I found my experience here highly unpleasant. If it was always this painful for me to be hairless downstairs, I would rock a giant bush at all times. I've been waxing myself for over 12 years, and I know it doesn't need to be this painful or time consuming. I also know that waxing shouldn't leave me in discomfort for the rest of the day. I left with my skin sticky, itchy, and seriously inflamed. I scheduled an appointment with Sara and on the day of the appointment my mind totally blanked and I was a no show. When I realized what I had done I texted her and she was so nice about it (nicer than I would have been). I rescheduled with her for a couple days later and I of course was late to my appointment, because I am the worst. Despite my timeliness issues Sara still saw me and took her time on my wax. It is very clear that she wants you to be happy with your results, and she will put in whatever time is needed to make sure you leave feeling satisfied. I had some trouble with the healing process for microblading, and she had me come in several additional times (for no extra cost) just to check on them and help me through the healing process. She is also incredibly knowledgable - I have seen her for microblading, brow tinting, and threading, and I have been impressed with the quality of her work in all 3 areas. How do you mentally prepare yourself for this type of grooming? Another person is going to do WHAT to my WHAT?!?!?! It's not something you can sleep through. Not something that you can reaaaaalllly avoid. And definitely not something that a stranger should be doing to you. But alas.... It can suck to be a woman sometimes and to know that.... Well.... My appointment had all the makings of a horrible experience - I was in a hurry, I had a groupon, I was (gasp) a FIRST TIMER, I was frazzled from having to find parking in the Marina, and it took me a while to actually figure out where her space was. ((( BTW, she's in the building next to Nettie's, at the top of the stairs, door on your left ))) Sara gave me directions and left the room. She also asked about my preferences, and re assured me that it was going to be fine. She has a way of guiding your body parts and keeping up a conversation so that the whole experience is distracting. The wax she uses was also great- no hair breakage and it was moisturizing. Sara Holmes is really great at what she does. I come for Brazilian waxes & she's been great so far. She's friendly and talks to you which distracts you from the slight pain you're about to experience. When I came to her for my first time, she was informative and answered all my questions about waxing. It's about $40 for Brazilian waxing if I remember correctly. After reading so many good reviews about Sara, I decided to go to her for a Brazilian Sugaring. Finding the building was easy, but inside, I was a little confused. There were a bunch of doors with no names on it, since a couple of self-employed estheticians are sharing the building. I asked some girls downstairs and told me that happened all the time.
