Literally just finished my Brazilian wax & oh my GOSH I absolutely ADORE Nancy!!! So so so happy that I found her! She's so sweet, so easy to feel comfortable around, so educated & you can tell she's passionate about her business / taking care of others. I literally LOVE her! As soon as I came into her studio, I felt so welcomed. When she was waxing, I actually barely felt a THING. I was so nervous because the lady who last did my Brazilian made it so so so painful but with nancy, I was like ohhh??? that's it??? Highly recommend her!! read more

I had such a great experience today! I got a full arms and legs wax and couldn't be happier with the results. The whole session was practically pain free, the space was super clean, and the service was amazing. What really stood out was how wonderful and easy Nancy was to connect with, she made the whole experience comfortable. Highly recommend! read more

This is the BEST wax studio I have ever been to and I am a lifelong waxer. Nancy is thorough, considerate, fun, and really detail oriented. She also uses a great approach with different types of wax to make it as comfortable as possible. Her cleanliness is wonderful, too - none of that gross doubling up! She kept me distracted the entire time. I HIGHLY recommend this place! read more

Nancy was amazing!! Such a wonderful personality omg! First off she's amazing at her job, gentle and fast. And super clean, the no double dipping is real! We had a great conversation and time flied by. I certainly recommend her business, and I will be coming back. read more

As a result of a back injury, trimming up the undercarriage has become a bit of a challenge for me, so I decided to try something new and got all of the hairy parts that are typically covered by clothing waxed off. This was my first time ever being waxed, so walking in, I was scared out of my mind, and not just because of the potential pain. I'm typically very shy and modest to the point that I don't even take my shirt off at the beach anymore, so taking everything below the waist off for someone I had just met was well outside of my comfort zone & it took every bit of power I had to follow through with getting this done. Despite her being all up in my business, Nancy quickly put me at ease. Although there was some pain, it wasn't nearly as bad as what I had built myself up to believing it would be like. Perhaps the lack of pain was solely related to Nancy's waxing technique, but she also kept an engaging conversation going the entire time which was distracting enough that I didn't really think about what she was doing or where she was touching. The 90 or so minutes it took to get it all done went by surprisingly fast and in a strange way I almost didn't want it to stop because I was just enjoying talking with her and I don't think I could have asked for anyone better. I'm not sure at this point if I will become a lifetime waxer or not due to my personal skin sensitivity, but I'm still under 24 hours post wax and following all of Nancy's recommendations to help things heal up. So far her recommendations to help put the fire out are helping tremendously and I can live with a few red bumps for a couple of days...it's not like shaving has never caused this problem before. Assuming all of this clears up within a few days, I think it will be well worth it to return every 4-5 weeks vs spending an hour or so trimming several times a week. Highly recommend coming to see Nancy for any guys out there wanting to try waxing. She does it all and she doesn't make you feel weird about it! Thank you Nancy! read more

Don't want to go too into my experience hahah because I had to bare it all, but Nancy made the experience so comfortable! She was so friendly, and I really enjoyed talking with her during my first ever Manzillian hahaha. Really recommend her, she's awesome! read more

Nancy is phenomenal! She makes the experience painless as possible. She is thorough with her work, professional, and personable. I will definitely continue going to her. I was very pleased with how it all turned out. read more

LOVED my Brazilian wax with Nancy. She is an open book and literally makes a painful task as painless as possible. She is very matter of fact and doesn't make you feel weird at all when you're in her space and on her table. This is probably the best wax I've ever had - she didn't leave anything behind on me or tell me it was because of my hair. She was able to take care of it all and also while have one of the funniest conversations ever. I'm going on week two and still super smooth! ;) Her pricing is fair and I also received a pair of exfoliating gloves to keep my ingrowns in check. read more

I had such a great experience with Nancy during my appointment. I had reached out to her the day prior to find out if she had any openings for a few services and she responded almost immediately to let me know that actually had availability the next afternoon. She is located in the Phenix Salon suites, and let me know to text her when I arrived so she could give me direction to find her suite. When I found her, she treated me with a big smile and introduced herself. Her vibe was definitely welcoming. She verified that I still wanted the services I had requested just to make sure I didn't change my mind. We chatted the entire time and there was no uncomfortable silence or awkward pauses. She did an awesome job and I definitely will be a returning client. read more

Nancy was very professional and friendly. This was my first time coming to her. I would normally get my lip and eyebrows waxed at the nail shop but I thought I'd give her a try. I absolutely love the hard wax and no little cloths being ripped off my face. I think her prices are affordable and I will continue coming to her. Thank you again Nancy for the wonderful experience! It was a pleasure meeting you. -Sol read more

Love love love it here. Nancy is amazing and it was my son's first time having his eyebrows done and she made him comfortable & at ease. Then I scheduled an appointment for my mom and the same outcome for her. She loved it. She was happy with everything! Nancy is pleasant to chat with also. We don't have one negative thing to say here. It was all positive vibes from the moment you walk through the door!Next, it is my turn... bottom line I highly recommend this business! read more

Nancy is the best! Before coming to her I'd never had a bikini wax, let alone a Brazilian. The thought of getting one done seemed like it was going to be torture. I was tired of shaving, ingrown's, etc. It was important to me that I found a small business with someone that had experience. Nancy is really nice and made me feel really at ease my first time. She is knowledgeable, efficient and truly takes her time to make sure that you are comfortable. read more

This is my first time here at Landing Strip and Nancy did an EXCELLENT job. I came for Brazilian wax service and she did such a thorough job making sure everything was clean (she even handpicked all the leftovers and double checked everything again). She engaged me in a conversation throughout the whole process and made sure that the experience wasn't painful. I had to wait for 20 minutes because the previous client took too long but she apologized for it and she made an adjustment to the price. She also gave me a scrub glove towards the end. Overall I'm very satisfied with the service, given on how much it costs (much cheaper than other places outside SF but it's five-stars quality). read more

Admittedly, I do not have anything to compare Nancy to as this was my first time ever having a Brazilian wax, but I can tell you from a "newbie" perspective that she made me feel extremely comfortable. She was super friendly and chatty. Most importantly, it was not that painful at all!! She knows what she is doing!! She did a fantastic job. Quick and friendly. Not nearly as painful as I thought it was going to be. I HIGHLY recommend Nancy!! read more

I was really nervous about waxing since I've had bad waxing experiences before. I'm so glad that I found Nancy. She is prompt, gentle, kind and professional. If you haven't had a procedure done before, she will happily walk you through what to expect. I've had my eyebrows over waxed before and not only did Nancy listen but she did exactly what I wanted: No over waxing, no over plucking. She is very clean and meticulous which I really appreciated. She's soo good at what she does that my daughter started going to her. Nancy always went out of her way to make my daughter and I feel comfortable. If you're looking for a waxing studio, I definitely recommend Nancy!!!! read more

This was my second Brazilian wax; the first one was so painful (at a different venue) I was really scared to come in. I read the great reviews about Nancy so I felt more reassured making an appointment. Nancy herself is a phenomenal human being and made me feel so comfortable. This was not nearly as painful as I was expecting. She is a perfectionist and takes her time and does an incredible job. She is the only one I'll be seeing from this point forward for all my waxing needs! So extremely grateful to have found her. Highly recommend! read more

First time at Nancy's salon for a Brazilian. Very thorough and I like how she actually cared about the temperature of the wax and used the fan to cool it down. You can tell she's a perfectionist because I feel like she got every single hair. She took her time and conversed with me the whole time.. it was a nice distraction. I will definitely be going back(: read more

I have been getting Brazilian waxes for almost 4 years off and on. I have never had someone be so thorough and do such An amazing job than Nancy did!!! Yes the appt took about an hour (it was my first time with her and I hadn't been waxed in over two months) however that's because her attention to detail was impeccable. Throw on top of that the fact that she was sooooo friendly and made the experience extremely comfortable! I will definitely be back and I definitely recommend her to anyone in the area looking for a waxing salon! read more

Yesterday, was my first visit to a waxing business establishment. For a straight male, it sounds weird, but I wanted to try something new than shaving/trimming my body hair. Many close friends have mentioned about body hair causing discomfort to their daily lives, but many felt it would be embarrassing/or not masculine to go through this procedure. Anyhow, after many years of trimming and shaving, I wanted to see the results for myself. Of course, I was nervous (I heard it could be painful) and embarrassed to attempt this journey. As I enter the building and waited for my turn, I noticed the place was clean and organized. When it was my turn to get waxed, I met Nancy, who owns her practice. Being nervous at the moment, Nancy would put you at ease within a minute. She was super nice and easy going person, which felt like talking to a good friend. Nancy was also professional with me on the service and Q&As that I felt confident to return for more service. The results: - it was almost painless compared to the horror stories I heard from female friends regarding waxing. - the feeling after getting waxed; I feel comfortable in my skin and super clean!!! - I will definitely be back for more as waxing feels better than shaving/trimming. - clean facility. - Nancy is super wonderful person!!! read more

Literally couldn't wait to review Nancy after getting waxed by her today - her 5 star rating ABSOLUTELY holds true. She is genuinely so nice and makes you feel so comfortable, and somehow manages to make a brazilian as painless as possible. Before the pandemic I used to get waxed at a different company and it was somehow ALWAYS as painful as the first time, but I'm so glad I decided to go to Nancy. Trust her ratings and reviews because they absolutely hold true!! read more

Nancy was absolutely fantastic. Made me feel so comfortable and did incredible work! So glad that I found her since I live out of the area. Quick response time and fantastic job. Thanks!! read more

I was a first time brazilian waxer, so I did a lot of research to figure out where to go and now Nancy is my go to! Nancy is such a wonderful woman! The minute you book and appointment with her through text she replies in a timely manner. Also, her studio is very tidy, and Nancy herself is very friendly, funny and approachable. Also, Nancy is engaging, which made it that much easier to talk to her! She does everything she can to make you feel at ease and to ensure that your first and quite frankly, every wax is a fantastic experience! Here are a few tips: - The actual waxing studio is located in a skin care facility (La Petite Rose), so just ring the door bell labeled for her studio. - Nancy replies to text quickly, so don't be afraid to text her for an appointment. - If you're concerned about lady junk funk (or man junk stank), she has summer's eve wipes free for use. - Feel free to have a full on conversation about your life and hers when getting your lady bits waxed! It makes the time go by so much faster! - At the end of the service she gives you an exfoliating glove to ensure that you have no ingrown hairs before the next appointment! read more

WAX OFF!| Hands down to my favorite girl Nancy! For my convenience, I text her for a appointment. Nancy is responsive and accommodating. Every visit I have with Nancy is wonderful. She can hold a conversation during the whole procedure so I wouldn't feel any pain and makes the process less nerve racking. In addition, she doesn't make the procedure awkward! She's also very detail if wax doesn't take off the short and stubby baby hair, she uses a light microscope and plucks it out with a tweezers. Her studio is very comfortable, clean, and sanitized. Thank you, Nancy! read more

I've followed Nancy since her departure from Wax Away, and I must say I was quite impressed with her new location since the move. Her new room is much more spacious, comfortable, and clean. She operates out of a room at La Petite Rose Spa, so the environment is very relaxing and very welcoming. Nancy is still as sweet and accommodating as ever. I've never had a problem scheduling appointments with her, and she can easily communicate via text messaging! I always come to her for a Brazilian, and even though I've been tempted by other places offering specials prices and what not, I trust my lady parts only to Nancy. She's very thorough with her work. She never double dips. She goes in with tweezers afterwards to remove any strays or ingrowns. This woman knows her stuff! The conversation helps keep your mind off the pain, and she makes the experience as pleasant as possible (you are getting your lady parts waxed of course...) PARKING There is easy metered parking as well as free residential parking (with no restrictions other than street cleaning) She's also right off the L-line if you don't want to drive. Even if she decides to move locations again, I will continue to follow her (so long as she stays in sf =] ) read more

This place is a gem! Not only is it in my neighborhood making it extremely convenient, but Nancy uses high quality wax and is extremely knowledgable of her craft and products she uses. I have been getting brazilians for 4-5 years, so in general I find them to be quite painless and bearable. I will say that Nancy's is the least painful one (with her special blue hard wax) I have ever had. I could have napped through it. You do the math - affordable, painless, and quick. read more

I can see why Nancy has so many rave reviews. While you are having something extremely painful happening down south, it's great to have someone distracting you with conversation. I was impressed from the minute I tried to book an appointment with her (she answered my text request in less than an hour) to the tidiness of her studio. She's also very prompt with her sessions, my appointment was right on time. Her prices are reasonable and has a very nurturing personality - you are immediately at ease with her. I'll be going back again! read more
