I arrived to Geet's about an hour or so after opening, but she was not there. I called the store and she said she would be there in 2-3 minutes, but she came about 9 minutes later. I got my eye brows threaded and she did a pretty good job. Geet was very nice & the process was less painful than previous places I have gone. I have been going to Geet, the owner, for over 5 years for my eyebrows and upper lip. When my daughter became old enough to get her eyebrows done I took her to Geet. For the threading she does a great job shaping the eyebrows to suit your face. The actual threading is less painful than any other place I've gone and I like it better than waxing because she can detail the shape better. At first it was just for the threading but as her Indian suit business grew I also began buying my Indian outfits there and taking in my friends and sisters. For the Indian suits and lenghas she has a great collection of beautiful designs and is very size inclusive. Trust me most Indian shops look at anyone over a size 42/44 and just tell them they have nothing for them. Geet has all sizes available and is very reasonably priced. She works with you to find an outfit that is just right for the occasion. Best of all, she is so kind and welcoming to everyone who comes into her shop. I've seen her greet first timers who have lots of questions about the threading process and she happily and patiently answers them all. This is an amazing shop. I came here this evening in search for a lehenga suuuuuper last minute for a wedding(tomorrow). I found the perfect one and she (I think the owner) checked on me and I let her know I wanted it. She made sure to ask if it fit and I let her know that it didn't fit perfectly but I'd fix it at home(try to at least lol). She made a call and got me into an aunty that tailors literally within minutes to fully tailor my lehenga perfectly to my size. She helped me find matching bangles and jewelry. I've been to SO many Indian clothing stores where they completely ignore me(I'm Caucasian) and weren't help at all(rude to be exact).This was definitely the opposite of those experiences. I'll definitely be back! Also, I just wanted to comment on that girls 2 star review. It's not this shops fault you had an allergic reaction to getting threaded. It was your first time and you didn't know you would react that way and not everyone does. I was recently invited to my first, but hopefully not my last, Mehndi Night. I went to Geet for advice on what to wear. She couldn't have been more helpful! She has a selection of what seems like thousands of outfits for both casual and formal occasions. The one I picked needed some alterations to the fit, which she did herself in the store. I was thrilled with both the outfit and the jewelry and received many compliments at the Mehndi. I highly recommend Geet for both threading and Pakistani / Indian clothing and jewelry. Ok I hate to be the first non 5-star review but I think the Yelp public needs to know. Just recently moved to the area and I haven't found a place to get my eyebrows waxed yet. So when I noticed this place near home, I thought I'd give it a try. I've seen eyebrow waxing done on the streets of India and Taiwan but never could figure out how they could pull out hairs with thread! Thought it'd be a fun experience, especially when I read that it's less harsh than waxing. Plus there was a great Yelp deal for 25% off first threading here! I came here on a Tuesday evening (during open hours) a couple weeks ago and there was a sign that said, "Sorry, will be back tomorrow at 10am" (or something like that). I was disappointed but came back the next night. A girl named Simi was working there. The facility was clean and seemed nice. I wish there was some protocol that people who touch your face would first wash their hands. Not much introduction about threading was given, though I told her it was my first time. She had me sit in a chair that looked like it could dangerously tip over. She didn't ask me any questions about how I wanted my eyebrows, so I guess that's not something they normally ask? She just sat me down and said, "Hold your eyes." I was confused by that, so she showed me how to pull the skin around my eyes tight so that she could get the thread to pull hairs. Now I wished *I* had known to wash *my* hands! It wasn't painful, but it wasn't painless either. Felt like someone was lightly zapping me. So after she was done, I had her remove some excess hair above the eyebrows, near the forehead area and a little near the sideburns area. It's definitely impressive to see what she can do with a simple piece of thread! Got the 25% price, paid, got a business card that gives you a discount if you come a certain number of times (can't remember the exact number). The experience wasn't bad. But it wasn't until a little while after I left that I started feeling discomfort above the eyebrows. The area kinda stung and soon I noticed little bumps on my face. Not sure if it was an allergic reaction to the thread or what. But it scared me because I was worried my whole face would start breaking out. Fortunately it didn't, but I did get noticeable little bumps on the areas that I got threaded. I was pretty horrified and went online to see if anyone else experienced this elsewhere. Turns out that a lot of people get allergic reactions to threading. Maybe if I had stuck with just the eyebrows region, it wouldn't have been so bad. But since I had ventured into other areas of my face, this had caused an allergic reaction that not only looked bad but felt miserable as well. For those who have done eyebrow threading before, this will be the place for you. But for those who have never done it, tread carefully. I was swayed by all the 5-star reviews and didn't realize that threading might cause allergic reactions in some individuals. read more
