I came here to update my work wardrobe since we're moving to business casual. I had heard from friends that LOFT has good work pants and blouses, and I was also hoping to catch some good sales. They did have some cute pieces, but a lot of the styles felt outdated or just not my personal taste. What really stood out to me, though, was the customer service. I noticed the sales associate actively offering help to everyone around me, asking if they needed assistance, but she never once approached me even when I was standing right next to other customers. Because of that, I ended up feeling uncomfortable and decided to leave. As I was walking out, she finally asked if I needed help, which felt very odd considering how attentive she was to others. I declined and left. Even if I wasn't shopping alone that day, I still should have received the same level of service as everyone else. Shopping here on a regular basis and am used to usually fantastic service. However, on today's visit I was left feeling less than welcome or helped. When I walked in, I was looking for a specific item in a petite size, when I asked the woman on the floor, she pointed and told me the petite section was in the back corner. She never offered to help me find the item and she never offered to help me find a fitting room once my arms were loaded down with items. She puttered around and helped others, but ignored me; it was odd. The only reason the review is a 3 and not a 1, is due to the excellent service and charming personality of the woman at the register. I will come back for the value, but hopefully the unfriendly woman won't be working. read more

What is up with this store? It used to be a great store now. It looks like a junk. Keep. Looks like a thrift store and everyone in there has no clue what's going on. Awful customer service. Every time I have ever returned something here they "can't find my purchase" even with the original card, phone number, email. They claim they need the original paper receipt. Who the heck holds on to paper receipts anymore?! They offer store credit for a 1/3 of the original purchase and claim they don't store any of our purchases online but yet theu will gladly collect all your data and have you sign in before each purchase. Awful customer service. Definitely got the feeling they could care less if I was there, bought anything or ever came back again. Their return policy is horrible too. 30 days and no flexibility. I was a day over 30 days because of our vacation and lost $30 on a shirt. So many other stores to shop at that value customers. read more

I'm really surprised by the poor reviews. I've been shopping here regularly for about 6 months and the staff is usually friendly. My student daughter is visiting and we needed to stock up on summer clothes so we headed to the Loft. Here we found lots of cute dresses, tops and shorts. Many things were on sale, yea! Tidy, well organized store that had good inventory. All employees were really helpful and pleasant. I'll be back. read more

I've been a long-time customer. But the customer service has definitely taken a nosedive in the last few visits. I wasn't greeted. I had my arms full of clothes - no one offered to help me - which has been my experience with previous shopping trips. They were busy so I figured that was why no one helped me. When I went into the dressing room I had to look under doors to see if any were empty - arms full of clothes mind you. One had a sweater on the door but no one was inside. I had been in the room for about 5 minutes when there was a abrupt knock on the door. The manager salesperson proceeded to tersely tell me if there was something on the door at means it's for somebody else and that person was just getting picking another item.She really she didn't need the tone. I had just finished trying on 3 sweaters and 2 pants and was nearly done. She spoke to me rudely and sharply and it was really unecessary for her to talk to me the way she did. read more

Extremely poor customer service. I thought it was just me but after reading the reviews I was wrong. I'm curvy (size 16) and thought they just didn't want to help me *pretty woman scene* but that wasn't the case. I've tried asking for items only to be told they're on the clearance racks yet they aren't. I ordered a pick up of an item and the item wasn't ready (even after 36 hours and getting the email stating it was ready to be picked up). I wish there was a location at Arden and I'm not always so fond of the outlet location. I'll try sticking to online Loft shopping. read more

Awful customer service! I bought a shirt + a pair of pants and they folded each into tiny rolls and crammed both items into this tiny little bag made more for a scarf or underwear? I asked for a bigger bag and she said they don't have one?! what r you going to do if I bought 5-6 items ... put each of one of them into their individual small bags?! Just not acceptable. The Loft Outlets in Folsom or at Arden gave way better service than here. The manager or district manager need to re-evaluate and re-train the stuff here. read more

I personally absolutely love loft. So this review is going to be hard for me, but, truth be told. Every time I go into loft I am never ever greeted, the funny thing is someone could walk in behind me and be greeted, but I am never greeted. I feel the girls pick and choose who they want to greet. Maybe it's jealousy or something not sure. Loft in general should hire bubbly and outgoing girls, I mean loft is pretty pricey and I spend big bucks their... they really should invest in treating their customers, especially they're loyal customers better. RUDEST associate ever!! I am still in disbelief over the encounter. As soon as I walked up to the counter to get a price adjustment she was giving me so much attitude for no reason! Apparently they don't price adjust something that you bought 5 days ago unworn with receipt for the new sale price. I told her I would just like to return it then and I can re-buy the same item at the lower price. She didn't like that so she did me a favor with attitude and credited me the $15 and mentioned that normally they can't resell the item they would have to hold it for 24 hours lol. Whatever! I can order online! That is the most ridiculous policy I've ever heard of and if it's true she could of informed me in a more pleasant manner! Not ONE of the 5 people on the sales floor, including the guy who I'm assuming was the leader on duty. I walked around with a heap of product to try on, still no one acknowledged me. The associates made it an effort to walk away from any area with customers. I walked to the guy who was doing accessory markdowns to look at the rack next to him and he turned around and left. I have found some super cute dresses at Ann Taylor Loft. You really have to look though. Sometimes the items can look cheaply made. But you can find that diamond in the rough. I found an adorable '50's style green and white floral print dress here. Really cute with a pair of kitten heels and my pink kate spade bag. Love it. I've also found some cute sweaters and skirts for work. It is fun to stumble across an inexpensive find like Ann Taylor Loft. You can afford to purchase a lot of different pieces for not much money. With the economy the way it is, that is definitely worth 4 stars. read more

Went to this location for the first time today. The staff appeared to be friendly, the store was very clean, very organized and had a nice open feel. I overheard every sales person having conversations with customers and the lady that set me up in the dressing room was very polite. I will definitely be back! I love their clothes! This is my go-to store when I am looking for short sleeve shirts, long sleeve shirts, cardigans, etc. I fit well into their smaller shirts which I love because they do a lot of prints, sequins, ruffles etc. So if I ever need shirts or sweaters, I come here. Unfortunately I do not fit into their pants because I am 5'8 and have a super small waist. (Insert sad face here) Their clothes do seem to run a little big as well, definitely more women's sizing than misses or juniors and long sleeves usually fit my long arms. Yay! I have noticed recently that the pricing on their clothes seems to have gone up, with a lot of tops and sweaters in the $50-60 range with frequent 30-50% off sales... a la Kohl's. I just wish they would reasonably price things... I agree with the the other reviewers, this store is super small and so I usually have to end up shopping online instead which I would rather not do. read more

I always have a great experience at the Loft. It's typically my go to for clothing these days - the fit is always great and there's always a good variety in the store - they are also very accomodating with their return policy. I've purchased items online and they've given me no hassle to return - I even bought a shirt in store, threw away my receipt but kept tags on, decided i wanted a different color and size - so exchanged, threw away the receipt again, and decided on once again another color and swapped the size too - and there were no questions asked! What i love most about Loft is the clothing is comfortable and fits nicely - the quality is great as well - and they ALWAYS have 50% off sales for the whole store! I also love the fact that they have petite sizing - as I'm on the shorter side and have been able to take advantage of the better proportioned clothing :) read more

I have been to this location three times now over the last 2 years, each time I am confronted with less than stellar service. The fact that this location has such stuck up employees is laughable. It is Ann Taylor LOFT, not some specialty boutique in Beverly Hills. A couple of them were bustling around the store putting new merchandise out and were clearly put off by the fact that customers were in their way (were talking eye rolling and exasperated gestures) It's Mothers Day weekend, so they were busier that usual. I simply needed to try on some pants (available online and in store). I really like a couple of their denim styles but wanted to be sure of the fit before ordering. Needless to say they fit great and I don't plan to step foot in the Roseville store again. If I have to try something on, I will make the drive to Vacaville. There was a sweet girl at the front that greeted us while we looked around but that was about it. Cold, cold women work there. If you enjoy being given the cold shoulder, or like being treated as an unwanted shopper go to Roseville, Ann Taylor Loft. They will certainly provide you will the lowest level of customer service. read more

Terrible customer service! I went to the store to return a few items I had purchased online. The sales person who initially attended on me was pleasant and the return went smoothly. After the return was done, I decided to browse the store. I was at the accessory section, when another sales person at the counter calls out to her colleagues to supervise me. She said something to the effect of I had already finished my purchases. I then notice a sales person following me everywhere. It felt like I was being accused for looking around. Not sure if there were biases playing a part. I left the store feeling offended. I will never go to this store again. Seriously felt belittled! read more

I have not been to the Ann Taylor Loft in a couple years. Since I was dropping off a package to a nearby FedEx I thought I would stop in and see if there was anything new and exciting, since I was eager for a new cute outfit. Never once was I greeted, asked if I needed help, or checked on when I was in the dressing room. The two girls that were working behind the counter were too busy chitchatting with each other to bother seeing if I needed any help. I probably would have stayed longer and browsed more but I felt unwelcome and so I left. Unfortunately this kind of ruined it for me so I probably will never go back. Poor customer service - I had read the poor reviews on Yelp and didn't believe them at first until the past few experiences. Compared to other Lofts (Arden Fair and the ones up in Portland I've visited), this one is sub-par. First of all, there always seem to be plenty of salespeople working no one offering assistance. Orders placed online for in-store pickup never are ready within the 2 hour window that the website suggests - in my experience, no matter what time you place it the day of, it's never ready until the next day. My most recent incident is I placed an online order to pick up in store, I realized a couple days later that I never received a "pick up is ready" email in store, and upon calling the store, they had no record of my order! The salesperson told me that either they canceled the order because they didn't have it in stock or I waited too long to pick it up. It hadn't even been 4 days, so I let her know that something happened on their end. Frustrating. And now the item is sold out. Wish they had another Loft near my house - would like to never have to deal with this one again. read more

I called today and asked if they had a sale going on. The employee who answered the phone acted like she had no idea what the word 'sale' meant. Like she couldn't believe I would ask such a question. I've been shopping at Loft in Roseville for many years now, and have noticed that these ladies need some personal training in being friendly and courteous. Small store, nice clothes, good sales, though limited selection.

Love the store but it lacks good customer service. When I asked for a gift box, the sales person awkwardly said "ok". After 5 minutes or so of her trying to assemble the box, she asked if I wanted the clothing I purchased into it. I said "Yes, it's a gift". As she started to put the contents into the box, I asked her if she cut the price portion of the tag off. She said "oh, did you want me to?" Ahhhh, common sense says that if it's a gift, you should automatically do it or ask the customer? After finally putting the merchandise into the box, she handed me the sloppily put together box and said "Merry Christmas" I said "thank you"? And asked for a loft BAG to put it into (raining outside) as well as the gift receipt, that was not offered. It's not that she was being rude, just clueless. Maybe she was new, who knows...but the other sales lady at the register just stared at her and offered no assistance when she was struggling with the box. Can you say WEIRD? Awkward experience all around. I spent a decent amount of money and also never was asked if I needed help by a salesperson on the floor. I did need help...but I eventually figured out the answer to my question. For being a Saturday afternoon during Christmas time, they were not even busy. read more

Terrible customer service. I was in there for about 15min and no one spoke to me or asked if I needed anything. Not sure if it was because I was the youngest customer in there, mind you I was wearing a Loft sweater. I had about 3 or 4 things in my online shopping cart that I was prepared to buy in store but I ended up just leaving and no one even said have a nice day. The customer service in this location is by far one of the worst I had ever experienced. When I walked in an employee walked past and didn't even greet me at the door. As I continued to shop I kept hearing the employees talk back and forth from different ends of the store about some ordered. I had a hand full of clothes and not a single employee asked if they could start a dressing room, but instead she continued doing whatever task she was working on and said to me "excuse me I need to get through" as I was browsing a rack. Very poor customer service at this store. Opened stated 10 on the internet. We arrived at 10:15 and we were told 11. So we went to Nordstrom's. No problem there. We got back at 10:59:35. Granted it was 25 seconds early. The door was open and people were going in. We went in and were not greeted. Then a few minutes later (after 11) we were yelled at by a very rude employee that the door was only open because the air cond didn't work. It was just after 11. No one offered to help with our purchase. When I asked a question the clerk rolled her eyes but did go to look for the item. No one smiled. I felt so out of place. I have to say this was one of the worst experiences I have had in several years! Definitely not up to Loft standards. I would give a zero if I could. read more

This store is a little smaller than many of the Loft stores I have been to; however, the service here is top notch compared to all the other bigger Loft places. Every person that passes by you is attentive of your needs and whether or not you need an open dressing room. Need another size while you're in a dressing room? No need to lose your dressing room spot because someone's going to come by and check on you very regularly. Since it's smaller, it takes that much longer to dig for valuable pieces to add to your collection but see it as a relaxing de-stresser and the experience isn't as bad! read more

This is one of the best stores out there. I got an entire outfit for $35 with tax. The staff here is more helpful than a lot of the other stores. I was looking for an all white dress for a theme party. I had a great experience personally. I don't usually like to go out but my mother in law wanted to check it out after we had sushi across the way. Interesting store location. I walked in and was surprised to see how small the place was. The interior and layout reminded me of the Loft outlet store that it kind of deterred me from wanting to shop. For the most part very helpful associates. I'm usually greeted right away and then not bothered until i look for a room. I bought something on Monday and it went on sale Friday and i was able to get credited back the difference (within 7 days). Don't be a chump and buy full price! Sales are often and usually good.
