Went in today for some back-to-school shopping for my daughter who's starting high school. It was our first time in this store, and overall it was clean and well-organized. The clothes are definitely geared more toward a younger crowd and a little on the pricier side, but my daughter did find a few cute things she liked. Checkout was a bit frustrating. There was only one register open, which was fine since there were just a few people ahead of us and we weren't in a rush. However, a female employee who seemed like a manager got in line behind us and then called another employee to open a register. Another male maybe manager instead of helping the next person in line, he helped the employee who had been behind us. That didn't sit right. Thankfully, when we did get to the register, we were helped by Melissa, and she was absolutely lovely! She had a great attitude, made conversation, and was even helping a newer employee while ringing us up. She definitely turned the experience around. read more

Idk what happened but Cotton On used to be my go to for cute, inexpensive clothes that were decently priced. The style of clothing here is so questionable, as I walked around the store I kept asking myself, "Who would want to wear this & why?" I was just shocked and for the price of something so thin, with poor quality. It mad me sad because I really liked this brand before they changed their style and materials. I was not greeted or spoken to during my visit, but the 2 employees at the front said something to each other then one of them came to follow me around the store. I had 3 kids with me and a small fanny pack, no diaper bag or stroller. I'll continue to shop online but never in this store. read more

The service here is terrible. They are very low staffed which makes it hard to get a fitting room as well as making the checkout line take forever since there was only one worker. Not to mention, the workers were terriblly rude and unhelpful. I was also suprised by the sizing. It is european but that wasnt a problem, the problem was that I am always a 22 but at this store even a 26 was small. The sizing is off from basically every other store which is really annoying and inconvenient. The shorts were weird fitting and uncomfortable. The value of the clothes seemed terrible, but the price was good so it was okay. Wouldn't recommend cotton:on to friends and certainly wouldn't go here again. Okay, so one of my favorite clothing store is finally one semi short car ride away from me! I first fell in love with Cotton On in San Francisco. Since moving to Sac, I've almost completely forgotten about them until I heard that one was opening up at the Galleria!!! Clothing wise, everything is super clean. I would buy everything if I could! Would You judge if I got a shirt that says "Fries before Guys"? If so, judge away! LOL. Everything is decently priced and theres a lot of "2 for $" deals like 2 for $40 hoodies. The peeps working the floor here are so fun, happy and helpful. Shouldn't it be expected? I guess so but the staff here went above and beyond. There was a lot of good vibes and good conversations. The dressing rooms are clean and spacious but I do wish that they had something to put non hangered items on. I'm always up for supporting stores that do charitable work. Buy a bracelet at the checkout counter and 100% of the proceeds go towards the Cotton On Foundation building of healthcare centers. Buy a water bottle and it helps build classrooms. Buy a tote and you help provide clean drinking water to entire communities! read more

Would give ZERO stars, but can't post without giving at least one star. Just walked around this store for 45 min. Went to try on clothes before 5:45pm and was told their fitting rooms are closed. They don't actually close the store until 7pm. No one told us the fitting rooms were closed and there was no sign when we entered. Just wasted 45 min in this store and can't try on anything. I have frequented this store regularly. I've had many positive experiences here, and I love the clothing. On many occasions I have been assisted by a young female with red streaks in her hair. She was kind, professional and incredibly helpful. She is one of many staff members at this location that has exhibited a high level of professionalism and kindness. I will continue to frequent this location because of the consistent stellar treatment and service I have received from this employee and fellow staff. It's definitely a rarity these days. The selection and styles are ok for what this store has to offer. The company's mission is also part of why I shopped here. However the manager needs to train the staff in customer service. We waited for 10 min before my boyfriend went and found a sales associate to ring up our purchases. I made eye contact with a young woman who kept folding clothes while another guy was putting away sunglasses. Our cashier, Shejana, was friendly but I could barely hear what she was saying. She was also the employee who acknowledged I was standing at the register and chose to avoid eye contact. The company has such a good mission. I wish they would screen the employees for good help with an outgoing attitude. I'll won't be back I'll support other stores with more customer focus. An addendum to the previous post: went back today as I had to return the items from the previous purchase. Totally different experience today. My younger sister needed to go dress shopping for her upcoming banquet for school, and of course we came to the galleria. We stopped in Nordstrom's, Zara and Macy's and put a few options on hold but wanted to pop in a few more locations. Always having shopped at Cotton On for great essentials I thought we'd make a stop to see if by chance there was a dress that would be perfect. Immediately there weren't very options as it's the season for dress buying, but on the front mannequin was the last of a great slip dress that was perfect. I asked a gal with green and black hair, who must've been the sales lead that hour for help with this. She seemed very helpful going to grab the dress until she spoke of a policy stating you must by an item once it's pulled off of a mannequin, which I've never heard of before coming out of a retail store. And I base this off of my experience as assistant manager at both Banana Republic at the galleria and Bellevue square mall as well American Eagle Outfitters; a sales lead sells above all so that was a head turner. I told her it's be great to see the same cut to really make sure it'd work. She was great and grabbed a bigger size so we could actually get a good opinion of the smaller one on the mannequin, of which she followed up that we could also try the smaller size. We new the smaller would be best so I asked for that one. I was quite shocked and patient as she proceeded to try and pry the dress off of the bottom of the mannequin rather than pull it over. I new immediately that there would be a tear of sorts as it's happened in the past with quickly disrobing a mannequin, but I just tried to be helpful suggesting untying the belt to help. We get the dress and walk around and I skim the dress to be sure it's not badly torn, but a seem was ripped. This was a bit annoying but my younger sister really liked it so we were gonna get it. I brought it up to the cashier, as myself and my cashiers in the past would be collaborative to see how to fix it but she just offered a discount which was great. I confirmed with my sister that she still would want it if I mended it and she said yes; followed by the sales lead walking up to see what was the matter, proceeding to pull on the string I could only assume at this point to see if it was a "loose thread" which is common with mass production. I said please don't I'll just have to sew it. Rather than apologize for knowing exactly what had happened she doubled back to say,"so that you know since there is an additional discount..." of which I finished,"it's final sale." This completely turned my experience since she obviously was trying to make it out to be anything but what it was. I've never appreciated people sitting and writing reviews like this, but know that this location in particular (the galleria) has stores that can coast by and make there numbers no problem, not carrying about the fundamentals of selling and customer serving, drives me to do this. As well as, knowing DM and other superiors pay attention to these things for feedback for their stores. I was quite disappointed in this and don't discount any fatigue from the pandemic; however that's not an excuse since I've been on the other side of the retail story since the pandemic began and know that every company has shifted to value the customer and have their experience take center stage. I'll continue to come here obviously for the great essentials and want to give possibly under appreciated sales leads and associates kudos for sticking it out through this and assumingely for taking the initiative for customer experience. read more

Stopped by cotton on at the start of my shopping trip at the galleria in Roseville recently. I was simply weighing my options on if I should purchase or not, found an item I considered and went with the "hang onto it for a bit to feel if you really wanna keep it or not" type of deal while containing to shop in cotton on. however the reason it was a terrible experience is because of this employee, a younger woman with red money pieces in her hair it seemed. I didn't see a name tag which is surprising considering how close she kept getting to me. and no she was not even doing her job! at first I assumed she was just folding clothes but I soon realized she was actually just what felt like harassing me! being way too invasive! she kept staring at me and inching closer to me and almost chasing me it felt like as she would quickly end up whenever I went around the store. and this isn't the first time i've heard of this woman doing this either, i've read very similar reviews! I took my business elsewhere as I was extremely uncomfortable. management needs to get her fired immediately it was very inappropriate. this was of early march 2023. read more

Every time I go here the customer service is always amazing. We just recently went in and was helped by one of the managers, Chelsea ( sorry if I spelt wrong ). She was so sweet and helpful. When we were checking out, she noticed that we had taken a few items off because it was a little over budget. She came up to the register and gave us as much of a discount as she could do our total after adding the items back on was less than what we would pay if we had taken them off our total. She ended up saving us a lot of money and made our day. She definitely deserves a raise. read more

The whole staff needs to be re-trained on customer service. Everyone there seemed like they were only there for a check and I didn't personally see one smile. Waited in line for 10+ min and only one customer in front of me. Employee checked on a size and style for me and said they were all sold out in store and online. So Far I'm in love with this store!! So hip. So trendy. The reason I made the trip over here to post was because the store sent me a 20% off coupon for just putting in my email! I already had my eye on a bomber jacket, so this made me zoom right over there within that week! Love my jacket, and love it even more that I got it 20% off. The lady that rang me up was very nice. Do they just not get any training on customer service, or do they just mistakenly think they're somehow above us customers? Was she maybe Cotton On President & CEO? Has she simply made it in life and this as far as her career needs to go? ...Honey, it's minimum wage, wait until you do something successful and get to actual high places before you TRY to treat people like shit, as though you're not just a mall-worker. Pay your dues, homegirl. She got even more irritated when I challenged her to speak clearly ("Excuse me, what was that??") because she mumbled my total to me! My 20 year old daughter and I just discovered Cotton On about a week ago and couldn't be more thrilled to have found this awesome store. We were quickly greeted by a very upbeat sales associate named Nathan, who always had a smile on his face and genuinely seemed to enjoy his job. Very refreshing! My daughter found several pairs of shorts in styles she really liked, but unfortunately they didn't have her size in one of the colors she wanted. Then came manager Stephanie to the rescue. She was so helpful and sweet! She offered to look into when they might be getting more of that style in the size we needed so we could return to the store to get them. We wound up buying several pairs of shorts and a couple of tops, and are excited to go back to buy more. Stephanie is a real pleasure to deal with, and does a fabulous job for Cotton On.
