My friend lives in Sun City, and we wanted to get a could manicures. Classic Nails in the heart of Sun City with a few other businesses, sharing a parking lot. We called to see if Classic Nails had any immediate openings, and they did! So we hurried over and got to sit right away. This salon is set up like your typical salon. Sitting stations for nails on one side and nice, comfy looking pedicure chairs on the other. I loved how the nail stations had plexiglass separating the customer from the technician. Some even wear masks! I sat with Swan, and I went with a gel manicure ($33). He started out filling my nails since I didn't want them cut. Then u soaked my cuticles for under a minute so he could clean them up. He buffed them for a few moments and then started applying color. In between applying to each hand, I put them under a UV light to set the gel. He did a few coats and then did my ring finger with gold as requested. He finished up with a less than 1 minute massage on both hands. My friend sat with Lynn and got a regular manicure($18). She used nippers to cut her nails. After she clipped them and cleaned up her cuticles, there was no buffing or oil applied. She went straight to applying her bail polish. She was very precise and cleaned up the edges with a flat brush. My friend also requested a heart be painted into her ring fingers. To be honest, I don't do it. It looked hideous. After 2 attempts with 2 different technicians, they were just going to leave the tiny ugly making. Thank goodness my friend told them to just remove it. She also barely received a massage. Afterward, she was taken to the nail dryers to finish drying. Everyone here is friendly and very nice. Today is one day after, and I noticed my gel was lifting at the back of my nails, and my hair was getting caught in them. My nails are gorgeous, but the gel is so thick in some spots, and one of my nails wants to peel up. Let's not forget to mention the mosquitoes inside the shop. My friend and I weren't the only ones getting bit and swatting them away. The mosquitoes alone made this experience an unpleasant one. 5 days after update: I can not stand my gel manicure. The gel nail polish keeps getting caught in my hair. Even I take a shower, my hair is getting caught under the gel polish because it is lifting so bad This gel manicure is supposed to last 2-3 weeks if it is done right, but I can't stand it, so that's a $33 ($38 with tip) waste for me. read more

These ladies were amazing! I had a full set of acrylic nails put on by a different place about a month ago. I attempted to take them off myself but finally caved and made an appointment here. After almost 2 hours. Multiple rounds of the dremel tool, soaking in acetone, filing down and everything in-between my nails are finally back to normal! They got way more than they bargained for when I called but they stuck it out and did a great job. I would absolutely go back. read more

This was a sweet salon with really nice people. I had Swan do my gel nails and he actually did the soak off I wanted. Jenny got me started and she is so kind! Swan was pleasant to talk to and he worked quickly but didn't rush. Best of all he did chrome correctly! It looked like chrome!!! So many places it's just shiny. The issue is it didn't last. It started peeling in just over a week and lifted by day 10 so I had to replace it. I've heard good things about LeAnne so I'm gonna try her next time and see if it lasts better. I may even go back for chrome to Swan and just have him redo it if it doesn't last - I couldn't do that this time cuz I was too far away. read more

My gel nail polish was pealing off by itself in large pieces, so I figured I should stop by to have a manicurist remove the french manicure polish entirely. That's all. Just gel nail polish removal. Took all of 5 minutes....They were conversiing back and forth in their language, and finally came up with a price and charged me $14!!!! I could have had a full manicure for double that and taking over an hour. Needless to say, I will not be back. I tipped them anyway as a "goodbye", as they have lost my business forever. read more

First let me say that my nails look great, they did an awesome job. My issue is with the added costs. I asked for a basic pedicure with gel. Post price $25 - I was charged $35. Full set acrylic nails white tip, gel top coat only. Posted price $25 - I was charged $35. My $50 visit was now $70. When I questioned the charge, I was told that I misunderstood. I paid the $70 but did not provide a tip. I am hoping that the tip is built in. I would get a clear explanation as to the entire charge before getting anything done at this salon read more

I've gone to Bellagio in Roseville on numerous occasions, Joli Nails in Roseville twice, some nail places in Auburn and none of them can hold a candle to Classic Nails in Lincoln. The staff is so friendly, they remember my name and things we've chatted about, but more importantly the pedicures are the absolute best! The massage is longer and better than anywhere else I've been and the finished product is impeccable. Even more importantly than that, their prices are better than anywhere else I've been. Their most expensive package is $35 (includes all the bells and whistles - scrub, coconut water, massage, paraffin wax and finishes off with a hot stone massage before the painting of the little piggies even begins!), at Bellagio, that is their starting package (a soak, massage and painting of the nails). Also, they're open on Sundays until 5!!! seriously, as good as it gets! read more

They said they could take us but then after the pedicure started they said we couldn't pick a package and that they only had time for the standard pedicure. Their selection of polish was limited and what there was looked old. The pedicure itself looks just ok. I had to ask them to remove the polish from around my toes. I went there 2x past 6 weeks upon recommendation of a class mate here at Sun City. I feel the salon wasn't that clean & felt uncomfortable that used Emory boards were used on me, not sure metal tools are sterilized between clients.. While seating at the table, I looked down at the carpet which appeared dirty. I decided to go else where & yesterday the technician at different salon said my nails were acrylic which hadn't been discussed with me. The tech, yesterday said the slight discloration on my thumbs might be a fungus & referred me to my doc & took off the acrylic nails but would not apply gel. I think the tech at Classic tried but might not be knowledgeable about nail conditions & her communication was not easily understood or mine with her. In the future, I will only go to nail salons where I can communicate with the tech & the tech explains what the treatment is & the potential problems/concerns. None of this occurred at Classic. This is a popular salon with Sun City Lincoln residents as prices are reasonable but I would rather pay more for good communication & a private room for my treatment that feels clean. read more
