I came to get 2 pairs of pants hemmed and they botched the job and left them too long. I came back 3 weeks later because I hadn't tried them on (new pants) to let them know and politely asked if they could fix it. The older woman working who was the one who pinned them up the first time seemed aggravated at me and then had the gall to say that I didn't have them hemmed there. I was so upset she didn't remember me and then basically called me a liar. I grabbed my pants and left. I had been here several times before. I'm never coming back. Turn around time was only three weeks and their prices are so reasonable especially considering the quality of work! This jacket has been passed through two generations and we decided to dye it to restore the color. The leather color was ruined and we went to multiple tailors to see what we could do, all other tailors said it was impossible or extremely expensive. This place is the absolute best!! I bought a dress from David's bridal as basically a blank slate for what I wanted my dress to finally look like. I took my dress in five weeks before I was getting married and 4 until I was actually leaving for the destination. I left my dress for 2 1/2 weeks before I came in for my final fitting. I LOVED IT- but I needed the bust let out less then an inch. The owner assured me that if I came in the next week that it would fit perfect. It did! The transformation they made to my dress was not only perfect it was flawless. They do excellent work, with a quick turnaround time, and the price was amazing! I cannot say enough about this place. The prices here are starting to get a little ridiculous now. It was 30 bucks to only shorten the sleeves. That's insane. They do good work here but I'm not sure how they can now justify their prices. read more

I FOUND A RAZOR IN MY SUIT PANTS AND CUT MY FINGER They became quite deficient and neglectful overtime. Two years ago, they were okay, as long as you explained in detail what you wanted, they got it right. Now, they're terrible. One of their many issues is that they're not interested in expanding to manage the workload or hiring good tailors. All they care about now is getting you in and out which causes them to have to redo everything. Because they're rushed and don't care, they have a tendency to mess up your garment and will try to charge you for their mistake. Sun Tailor lest a razor in my suit pants. I tried them on, felt something in my pocket, slowly reached in and cut my finger on a razor. I showed them and they suddenly acted like they didn't understand what I was saying or why I had a bloody finger and a razor in my hand. DON'T USE. read more

I came here just to get my measurements for a tuxedo, and she charged a very small fee of 5$. Like a moron I didn't bring cash, so I offered her to charge me more to make up the difference (when you run a credit card there's a fee attached that the company pays). She ran it as 5$ anyway, even though she wouldn't really make any money that way. I really appreciated the service I got here. They weren't interested in nickel and diming me even though it was my fault, even after I offered to pay extra to make up the difference. My original tailor was closed for 3 weeks. So glad I found Sun Tailor!!! She was able to get some clothes done for me on short notice! I was hesitant because they were Indian clothes with lots of embroidery and hand work. If the right tailor doesn't know how to handle the delicacy of these outfits, it can and has turned our horrible and unwearable! Thankfully, not here! I have been to Sun's Tailor shop a whole bunch of times. They are great! They know what they are doing. They are expert tailors. I always get my clothes back when they say, they are reasonably priced, honest and friendly. If something does not need tailoring or if it does not make sense they will tell you. They are by far the best tailor anywhere around... It's a comfort knowing whenever I need a real good tailor I know one. So, I make sure and pick-up my clothes when I'm supposed too, I am also friendly, I don't haggle over their money. I don't tell them I need it right away if I don't. They have a good strong clientele that is repeat business and I want to make sure no matter how busy they get, they will always take good care of me. It is a two way street! Nick read more

I've been going here for over 15 years now. They are very nice, reasonably priced, and can work magic. I usually get my pants and jeans hemmed. Turnaround is pretty quick and they can accommodate if you need a rush. I've also had a few suits and jackets worked on. They will help suggest appropriate lengths but will always listen to your requests first. Sun Tailor is the best I've ever been to and no matter what part of DFW I live I'm happy to drive here. Great little shop near the mall that does affordable alterations and with plenty of smiles. I've used their services a couple of times now for suit tailoring and really enjoy going to them. First, they are super nice. They always welcome you with smiles and are very prompt on getting you taken care of. Second, they are affordable. I got my suit jacket and pants tailored for around $60 (waist, leg hem, jacket sides, jacket center). Last place tailored just my jacket for around $70 so I don't have too many places to use as comparisons. But it's reasonable for my budget so I'll go to them unless another place is less expensive with better smiles. Finally, they definitely want you to be satisfied. I write this review after using this place multiple times and all I can say is, you get what you pay for. Yes, they have good prices but their work is sloppy. I've taken dresses in to get hemmed and I've had to take more than one back because they messed up my dress. When I got my pants taken in, they left the pins in them and when I went to take them off, the pins poked me in the thigh. Finally, I had my wedding gown dress altered here. It took about three fittings but here's the kicker. On my wedding day, as my photographer was shooting the dress, she found a pin still stuck in the back. Sloppy work. Friendly service. I hemmed four pairs of pants, without original hem. I didn't need them quickly, so I told them whenever is fine for pickup. The pickup date was a week later. Decent. The clothes look fine. It was a simple hem so I didn't really expect an error or anything spectacular. Honestly, I probably won't be back because $12 plus tax for a jean hem is a little high. They are always willing to make it right when I am not satisfied and do quality work. Their craftsmanship is superb! Brought my wedding dress here because of the good yelp reviews and was really disappointed with the service and work. When I came back to pick up my dress it wasn't done properly so they kept it to fix it. They told me to pick it up on a certain day, I came back and first they couldn't find my dress anywhere (minor heart attack) then when they found it, they told me the job wasn't done. I told them I can't come back the wedding is in 2 weeks so they told me to wait and got it done in 5 minutes... Literally no more than 5 mins! So why didn't they fix it the last time I was there? My daughter dropped off 2 skirts & one dress to get the hems fixed. The dry cleaner tore the hem ms approximately 6 inches around on each item. Well.
