Jinni, the owner, is very skilled in all tailoring aspects i.e. hemming, sewing, designing, altering, adjusting,, etc. My mom, who's very petite and short, needed dresses for a cocktail social and wedding of my brother that was held out of state. We shopped all the bridal stores, department stores and even on line but found none that was suitable. My wife had a couple of dresses that were apropos but needed detailed and extensive work. Jinni took on the challenge and began taking measurements while making sure that it would not only fit but also be age appropriate. I got my pants hemmed here and have taken more back. It is cash only but it seems like a family run business. The woman working doesn't talk much but is nice. I would recommend wearing a mask since she wears one. I didn't pay too much for two pants and a little button being fixed, so pretty fairly priced! Will keep using when I'm around. read more

The minor alterations I needed were done incorrectly, resulting in additional time needed, a "fix" that couldn't reverse damage done the first time around and me still paying full price. I needed a pair of leather suspenders altered... they were too long and I needed the male end button moved up six inches. I marked the exact spot to place it. I was told it would be ten calendar days. After battling commute and road construction traffic at 5:30pm I am given the suspenders. They removed the male button, and added a female button (in the wrong location)! The correction required removing the errant female end, and replacing that hole with a mismatched button. I was also shocked to be charged full price given delays and the mangled look of the finished product, even after requesting a discount. read more

I discovered Lee's Tailor because I take classes at The Barre Code a few doors down. I had a designer dress that was given to me years ago that didn't fit in the shoulders and chest so I finally took it to have altered. This was a very difficult dress with sheer fabric and I thought it might not look perfect after alterations and may be very costly. I was delightfully surprised at how well it turned out and the cost did not break the bank. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the work. I also had the shoulders and chest of a romper altered and that turned out really well too. Since that first visit I have taken in a Patagonia jacket to have the arms shortened and another dress to have the sides taken in. Again, the quality was great and the cost very reasonable. I would say the only con (which is why I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5) is that they only take cash and since I never have cash these days, I have to make a special trip to the bank. But even with that inconvenience I will continue to go back! read more

I have been coming here for years, she is great! We have a routine down, I pin my alterations as needed, drop it off and say "the usual", write my name on the receipt, write her a check and usually within a few days it is ready for pick up. If I need something quickly, she says OK. When I come in to pick up my items, I find it on the alphabetized rack (without interrupting her work), hand her the receipt, she smiles at our routine and I am out the door. I am in Lubbock for school and I end up keeping clothes that need alterations for months until I have time to take them to Lee's Tailor. I had to get a suit altered and surprising after the alterations are done she tells me a ridiculous pricing which costed half the price the suit costed me.What is annoying is why dint she tell the price before or at least written it down in the slip she gave me,I would have changed my mind,it's not that I got a lousy suit,my suit just needed minimum alterations.Check the pricing before you blindly give your clothes to this lady. read more

Lee's Tailor came highly recommended but we had a terrible experience. We went in for a quote for alterations for a formal dress. The woman helping us was not friendly and had very little to say. After my daughter tried on the dress and it was pinned and marked, the woman said it would be $150 for the alternations and she would call me that next Tuesday. She didn't call me, but we went to pick up the dress on the assigned day. My daughter tried on the dress. A change we wanted made in the front still had the pin in it - no work had been done there. The dress was hemmed to the correct length and it was taken it at the sides, but it wasn't complete. We weren't in a time crunch for the dress and I thought I could make the change at home. To my shock, we were charged $200 - $50 above the original quote. When I asked about it, she said, "It was too much work." I paid the bill reluctantly, but will not return and will be sure to share my experience in hopes that others won't be treated in the same way. read more

biggest fuk ups in the industry! avoid like the plague! idiots not only didnt do the alterations right, when they fuked up they simply stopped and bagged it then charged us for it with a smile. we just took it out of bag to try it out and we saw only one side had alteration not both and the stitch was way off the mark and horrible ( see pic - red line is where they were suppose to take in with correct angle to narrow the openings ON BOTH SIDES yet only one side has stitch and the other has partial stitch. 4 days they had this. When we called to pick it up prior to finding out this mess they had lost the item and then found it and said oh oh, and sounded dumbfounded by our request to see if the item was ready for pick up. wow. alteration person on site is not a real tailor, just a counter person. beware. TAKE A MOMENTS TO EXPAND PHOTOS AND REALLY TAKE IN THE FUK UP. Then to simply bag it and charge for it. OMG read more
