staff was a bit rude and not helpful. my first time trying to get something altered here and it was pretty busy which i initially took as a good sign however by the time they got to me after servicing several people who came in after me i was met with a very unhelpful attitude. it felt like the person did not want to hem my dress because she kept coming up w excuses from price to method and even after offering a solution to make the hem easier on their end she just seemed overall unwilling. i wasn't taking up a lot of their time, i waited very patiently for about 20 mins while they waited on other ppl and i took maybe 60 seconds of her time. at the end i just decided forget it, i'll either keep the dress as is or take it to another tailor. there was also a person who came in after me but was apparently there earlier in the day saying she just picked up three skirts that were supposed to be hemmed all the same length and all three skirts were different, one she paid for hadn't been hemmed at all and was significantly longer than the other two. i should have taken that as a sign to be honest lol. i understand that mistakes happen and things slip through the cracks but there's no reason for the attitude or poor customer service. i was surprised. read more

We needed a men's leather blazer fully relined, as it was used so much that the original lining was ripped to shreds. When I called, they said to bring the lining fabric with us, which we purchased on sale from a fabric store. The price quoted was almost half of what another local tailor had quoted, and it was expertly done in a week. A Plus Tailoring hemmed my suit overnight and at a low cost because of my habitual last-minuteness. More context: My partner and I habitually prioritize work, our dog, improving the world, Asian food, that one show on HBO Max over just about everything else, even like getting married. I mean, c'mon. With family and friends scattered across the country compounded with COVID-19, we stressed out about planning something. So we decided to get hitched at the courthouse on a Wednesday. With that said, I purchased my threads the day before at Suit Supply. However, since it didn't fit precisely, and by that, I mean that my genetics blessed me with abnormally larger shoulders and calves to make clothes shopping as inconvenient as possible, I needed it hemmed. So I used Yelp and found A Plus Tailoring only a few minutes away. I arrived ten minutes before they closed and found a modest place. And within that ten minutes, they fitted me and processed my request to have it ready the next day at noon. I can't recommend A Plus Tailoring enough. Not saying anyone should ever do this to a business, but they helped me out when I needed it the most! read more

When we walked into the business, it had an overall hardworking and friendly staff and they always seemed busy at work. Though a little pricy, the sewing job was incredible and it took some great skill to sew on the Luxembourg patch, which (I don't know how they did it) they did without going through all of the fabric and leaving no traces of sewing though it was quite evident that it was sewn on because you could see the stitch marks (barely). Very good quality and would recommend. The next few patches I will have sewn on will be by A Plus Tailoring. read more

Wanted patches added to my jerseys, asked them to ensure the patches were straight, we placed them on together, for positioning before I dropped them off, they were straight . This is what I received. When I pointed it out the owner basically scolded me, was very rude. If I could give zero starts I would. Sign says A + Alternations but it was a F - experience!!! Unfortunately EXTREMELY displeased and disappointed. I brought in my tuxedo pants for alterations on Friday December 29. I PAID A PREMIUM TO HAVE MY ALTERATIONS COMPLETED NEXT DAY. The told me to return after 4 pm the next day. I returned to pick up my pants only to find they were closed!!!! At 4 pm when they clearly are open to 5pm on Saturday. I had to then purchase another pair of tuxedo pants and pay someone else to alter those pants. Today picking up my pants. No explanation as to why they were closed early. All they said was sorry. I felt worse for the other 2 women who arrived to pick up their ball gowns for New Year's Eve and couldn't get them because the were closed early. ALL OF US PAID A PREMIUM AND WERE TOLD TO RETURN AT 4 pm the next day. read more

Crooks! I trusted A Plus with my daughters prom dress and they cut the hem without sewing it back causing the dress to unravel the day of prom. There were hundreds of sequins falling to floor as she walked. The store owners lied about hemming the dress when I have photos before the dress was hemmed and after. It wasn't until I produced photos until another employee brought out the pieces is the cut dress. The lady was rude and dismissive and refused to refund the amount of the dress and the services. A Plus Tailoring are unethical and ruined my daughters prom. These people cannot be trusted. Spend your money somewhere else!! read more

I flew in on Tuesday, dropped a pair of jeans and a pantsuit for hemming to be picked up 24 hours later. I paid extra to have them rushed. The next day, I picked them both up. Jeans were hemmed perfectly. Pantsuit - only the lining was hemmed. The exterior was untouched so naturally, the outfit was still too long. I had to rush to a work meeting without the needed pantsuit and fly home the next morning. I called A plus but they refused to issue a refund claiming that since I requested the inseam length, they did not screw up despite NOT hemming both the liner as well as the actual pants. The girl fought with me and said that unless I could bring them in, they would not issue a refund nor would they accept pictures of their shitty work. read more

I don't do alterations often as I try to avoid buying anything that requires them, but sometimes it is necessary when it comes to the perfect fit! I needed to get a beautiful midi length dress (I hate midi length dresses for myself..the ones that come down below the knee but isn't quite floor length) shortened for an event that I purchased at a great steal, but the dress had an intricate lace design on it with velvet that could easily be ruined by a non-expert. There was also a border at the bottom that made the dress look even more expensive that I wanted to keep on there. I took a chance and I was more than pleased. They had it expedited and it came out to perfection. I've gone back a few times to get a few items tailored, including an evening gown and pair of nice jeans. They make you try on each item and carefully go over how the alteration will be done and adjust according to your requests, but also give useful and reasonable recommendations. They also do shoe repair services by an outside company, and the results are pretty decent. I actually have a few pairs that are waiting for me to be picked up. They always have a smile and are super courteous as well, so it is always a pleasant experience when I go in there. I highly recommend them for your tailoring needs! read more

They are horrible. I brought my maid of honor dress here. Two weeks later they had made it smaller in places we never discussed and didn't fix things We had discussed. They had to fix it again, went back 3 days later and the fabric was still rippling because they did bad seam work. Then it still was rippling/the outer layer was sticking out strangely. They said come back in an hour. It was a little better. Not much. The man there then proceeded to tell me that he was losing money and it was stressful and this is just what happens with dresses like mine. I said that may be but this was never a problem until they changed it and they weren't supposed to alter the dress there. He said it was pinned. It was not. All of this cost me $174 and now I have to find someone to fix it in a hurry. Do not take your clothes there. read more

I absolutely love this place. I'm unreasonably picky with where I have my clothes altered, and A+ is my spot. The vast majority of my clothes are custom, including over 30 custom made suits, and I fully trust Young and the rest of the crew at A+ with everything. They've been in the business for over 35 years and definitely know what they're doing. They are kind, accommodating, patient, and thorough. The prices are very reasonable and they even can do same day alterations for a bit more money. Typical turn around time is 3-5 days and I've never had an issue with even one item of clothing. This place is a gem of a find! Quick funny story, but I found this tailor through yelp/good reviews, and when I walked up to the store yesterday, one of my co-workers was walking out! He said he's been going here for years and that they do a great job on anything he's taken in to be altered. Definitely sold! I have a spaghetti strap top, in which the fabric of the top is velvet, but the straps are a thin leather. The straps constantly tear off from the base, even happened AT an event wearing it lol, and had to resort to keeping it together with safety pins... yes, I can be redneck like that :-b Anyway, I sucked it up to bring it in to have all four seams professionally reinforced. They had it ready to be picked-up in less than four hours, and, the straps were PERFECT. I mean, PERFECT. It's like it was brand-new and straight out of the factory. I couldn't see any threads or seams, as they'd hid them so well and so neatly. For $16 and same-day service, it was well worth it. The staff is very sweet, store appears clean, and it's quick. You pay when you drop-off, and just pick-up and leave. :) It's across from the Stonebriar Mall in that large shopping center. read more
