I usually go to Diamond Alterations, but decided to try this business while I was at Firewheel shopping today (3/2). Needed a dress hemmed about 1 inch, because it was too long, and I need it in five days, by close of business Friday. For context, provided pictures of hem and dress material tag. The male attendant 'studied' the hem (inner and outer shell) for about three minutes and then gave me an absolutely RIDICULOUS quote of $120!! I guess I'll be going to Diamond Tailor tomorrow or taking out my own sewing machine so I can get the job done in about 15-20 min (5-10 min because I'm rusty ). That is absolutely ridiculous! I'd even pay $50-$60 understanding this is a business, knowing full well the true cost is about $10, but $120?! Absolutely not. My family won't be going back and we do not recommend.

Title / Rating: 1 Star - Damaged garment, refused accountability…read more I brought a pair of shorts here solely for a standard zipper replacement. When I picked them up, the original work was unacceptable. The sizing had been changed when they installed the new zipper. Bringing this to their attention, they agreed to try and give inches back. Upon pickup of the attempted fix, however, the metal buckle and buttons had been altered to the point where they no longer close, and the zipper work left the garment completely unwearable. When I brought this to the owner's (Giovanni Perez) attention with photographic evidence requesting a resolution, I was told they "did nothing wrong" and refused to take any responsibility or offer a refund. Buyer beware: if your clothes are damaged in their care, they will not stand behind their work or make it right. Photos attached. You can see how they put the button and clasp on top of one another so neither is functional, and how they moved the hook twice (once during the original tailoring, which they deny in spite of the evidence on the garment, and again when attempting a repair that also crushed the metal of the clasp).

The owner, John, who I initially believed to be a man of integrity, especially considering that he is also known as a minister, completely failed to follow through on his word. My pants were not ready when I needed them for a trip. John told me that he would deliver them to my home. He never delivered them and never even called to provide an update. While I was away on my trip, I followed up with him, and he told me he would get back to me. Once again, he never did. Because my pants were not ready as promised, I was forced to purchase another pair of slacks for a wedding, which cost me $200. I provided the receipt to John and attempted to address the matter directly with him, but he has ignored my attempts to resolve the situation. This is not simply about the pants. It is about keeping your word, communicating with your customers, and taking responsibility when you fail to provide a service as promised. After being ignored and receiving no resolution, I am now being forced to pursue the matter through small claims court to seek reimbursement for the expenses and inconvenience caused by this situation.
