IF I COULD GIVE THEM 1000/10 's I ABSOLUTELY WOULD! WHAT I HAD TAILORED * 4 team jerseys (the nice expensive kind you don't any to have to pay to replace) * 2 pairs of jeans The last two tailors I used we're not fantastic. One of my daughter's jerseys actually got torn, which is not ideal. So when I needed a tailor for this season's jerseys, there are 4, I put a post out on next-door asking for people who could refer a tailor they had personally used that was really good. A gentleman ended up messaging me and telling me that if I didn't mind a little bit of a drive, he could guarantee it would be worth it. It was about 17 minutes from the house, but given that I had four jerseys at $80 apiece to replace I couldn't take the chance using someone else. I brought the 4 jerseys and 2 pair of jeans that my daughter needed to have hemmed as well. They were super attentive, asked multiple questions to make sure it was going be done right and made a suggestion on altering 1 of the 4 jerseys a different way which my daughter was ecstatic about. Shetold me I'd have them in in a week! Wouldn't you know it the very next day I got a message about pictures for her team being in 3 business days. I seriously thought I was going to cry. So I called and explained my dilemma. Told her which jersey it was and said I only needed that jersey if it could be done on time. She told me to stop worrying, they can get it handled and to not apologize bc they were happy to help! Not only did they handle it, but all of my items were ready the day I needed to pick up the jersey for pictures. The stitching is wonderful. You can't even tell that the jerseys have been altered anyway, and the jeans have the same wide stitch my daughter liked on the jeans when we bought them. I cannot say enough good things. I will absolutely be making the drive for anything I have in the future. I'm also really excited because they do embroidery as well so I'm going to surprise my daughter by having her number stitched on her backpack for her. read more

Horrible service! Had my patches sewn wrong, came to pick up and they said we would fix it by 3pm. I came back at 6pm before closing and still didn't fix it so I sat there waiting for it. Keep in mind, I dropped off the uniform Saturday and it's Wednesday!! Never coming back. I get you're busy with prom but if you can't do the work correctly and on time when promised then do not take my money!! This is a lengthy review, but I strongly recommend reading it before entrusting your wedding dress to Autumn Stitch. This business came extremely highly recommended across multiple local Facebook groups. I dropped off my dress on November 22nd. The owner and a staff member pinned me that day, and that initial experience was excellent. I paid in full, with a scheduled pickup date of December 10th - well ahead of my December 20th travel, where the dress would undergo further customization for my wedding. I returned on December 13th around noon to pick up my dress, and the experience could not have been more different. It was immediately clear that my dress had been altered incorrectly. The sleeves - explicitly not to be altered except for the addition of a snap at the back of each - had been cut in half and stitched back together, creating two permanent seams that were never to exist. When I pointed this out to the two employees assisting me, I was met with dismissiveness rather than concern. One insisted that I must be mistaken and implied that it was unreasonable to have requested a snap. The other laughed after I made a comment that there was still pen ink visible on my white wedding dress. I calmly explained that what I requested- and paid for - was a snap, not reconstructed sleeves, and that this needed to be corrected. I was then told that the fix could be completed in 2026. That response was shocking. This was an admitted error made by the shop, yet there was no urgency, accountability, or meaningful attempt to make it right. When I explained that waiting until 2026 was not acceptable, I was met with a shrug and a vague "okay." I reasonably expected a follow-up call to address the mistake and propose a solution. When no one reached out, I called the shop on Tuesday morning - over a business day later - and spoke with Jean. Jean was professional, empathetic, and fully aware of what had occurred. She apologized, expressed genuine concern, and said she would speak with the owner, Hannah, to ensure the situation was resolved. I raised the possibility of a refund or, at minimum, reimbursement of shipping costs if the dress was not ready by my December 20th deadline. Jean called me back about 30 minutes later with a plan: I was to come in Wednesday morning for re-measurement, have the snap completed by Thursday, and still leave room for anything additional to be done by Friday if needed. That was reassuring. On Wednesday, I took an hour off work to return for the fitting. Everything went smoothly, and Hannah assured me the dress would be completed that same day. I explained that I would return Thursday morning and reiterated my concerns about how the issue had been handled the prior Saturday, particularly the lack of outreach. In any customer service-oriented business, when an error is identified, proactive communication is not optional; it is expected. When I returned Thursday morning, Hannah seemed surprised to see me and asked if I was there to try the dress on again. She then stated she had "forgotten" and that the dress could be done in about an hour. This was despite clear communication from Jean on the phone and the day before that the dress was to be completed Wednesday and that I would be returning Thursday morning. I reiterated that the dress needed to be fully completed by 9:00 a.m. Friday. By the end of this ordeal, I had to take numerous hours off work to address an error that was not mine. At no point was I offered a refund, a partial credit, or any form of compensation for the inconvenience, stress, or mismanagement of a wedding dress - an item that carries both financial and emotional significance. As I was departing the shop on Friday with my dress, I was handed a 15% off coupon "for next time." While I appreciate Jean's professionalism, the overall handling of this situation reflected a troubling lack of accountability, communication, and respect for a client during a once-in-a-lifetime process. I cannot recommend Autumn Stitch based on my experience. read more

I can't say enough good things about this business. I needed tailoring on a gown and after two shops told me they couldn't help, Autumn Stitch took me in and completed the job within 48 hours. They took up the hem on a gown about 6 inches in the front. I walked in it with no problem after they tailored They were kind and professional and understood exactly what I needed. They saved me. They are very pricey and when I tried to discuss with them the quality of the last alterations, ( a hem started coming out) the representative was rude and unprofessional. DO NOT GO HERE! I took a brand new (tags still on it) white dress to be taken in slight to this place and when I picked it up there was an orange stain on the dress. The dress was straight out of the box and completely white when I brought it in and stained when I picked it up. They refused to acknowledge that they left the stain and now on top of paying for alterations (which seemed more expensive than they should have been from the get go) I now get to pay to try and get the bright orange stain out of my dress. Brought in two pairs of jeans to be hemmed. They literally cut the bottom off the pants and did not save the original hem. The jeans look ridiculous (hem is unevenly stitched and looks like a child hemmed them) and they told me there was nothing they could do to fix them. Extremely unhappy.... this should have been a very simple, no brainer job. I had a twin quilt, 66 x86, that I wanted cut in half and two throws made, each measuring abt 43 x 66. There was even a diagram showing it cut in half on the receipt. I just picked it up...... instead of just folding it in halves, cutting it, and stitching the raw edges as instructed, she cut one 66 inch segment from the 86-inch​ side, leaving a huge L-shaped remnant​ not usable for anything and not enough fabric for the second throw. How hard is it to fold a quilt in half, cut it in two and sew the edges? Now I have just one throw and will have to purchase another quilt to have the second one made. To add insult to injury, she argued heatedly with me about it, as if it was my mistake, then had the audacity​ to charge an exorbitant​ $51 for a simple cut and hem botched job, that left me with a damaged product. Perhaps it is a language barrier that caused the issue, but it was extremely poor customer service. I cannot believe an experienced seamstress would make such a moronic mistake; certainly,​ common sense​ would have prevailed. Extremely disappointed in the job, service, ​ and attitude. Business must be good if she is able to argue with and blame the customer for her blunder. I will not be returning. read more

My maid of honor and I came in to alter her dress (shorten the hem) to a knee length. We told the lady exactly where to pin the dress, and she argued for 5 minutes on where it "would look best". Autumn is an absolute angel. I purchased a $6500 Vera Wang wedding gown and had it altered at a reputable tailor in town. Long story short the tailor I had taken it to originally DESTROYED my wedding gown. My gown was made of a delicate silk material and i thought it was ruined beyond repair. In an absolute panic a family member took me to Autumn stitch. Autumn greeted me with a smile and immediately went to work on my gown. She took the dress apart down to the boning and carefully rebuilt this dress to perfection. Not only that she did this with a 1 week notice, during prom season, and with a smile on her face. With all the work she had to do and in such a short time frame when she told me the price I nearly broke into tears. She charged me LESS than what I paid the original tailor to do and my dress is absolute perfection. She was my saving grace and took what could have been a disaster and made it perfect. Very expensive but that is not the issue. I knew the work would be difficult (creating a new neckline to correctly shorten the torso of the dress) and this would not be cheap However what was discussed at the fitting and what I PRE-PAID for was not what was done to the dress. Instead they took the fabric in at the waist line, in the front only, which created a rainbow shape much like a maternity dress on the front of my 10 year old daughter's bridesmaid dress. Arm holes are still too big and zipper in back still puckers. Plus the giant safety pins used at the fitting to pull the up fabric she would be removing at the shoulders left holes. After months of looking for the exact color combination of drapes, the panels were too long, so I took these very sheer drapes to be cut a different size. Exactly 45" was what I needed and after explaining how hard it was to get this color combo, I was assured that I would get exactly what I asked for. They completed them very quickly and texted that they were ready to be picked up. In the bag they looked shorter, but when I got home and got the time to hang them I found that the two panels are different lengths. This is not the type of fabric that you can "fix"! I contacted the merchant and Autumn said that sometimes after they are cut and on the table they will be a little different in size..... really? Almost a half inch????? I told her how disappointed and frustrated I was and she said oh, I can fix it so bring back. This fabric can't be fixed without that being noticed.
