Just left and will never return. I called yesterday to ask the price to hem a pair of pants and was told $10 per pair. Today, after bringing in about 12 items and her pinning everything, I asked the tailor for the total cost before leaving my clothes. Instead of giving me a clear answer, she was rude and dismissive, saying she would "call me later" with a price. I didn't agree with that and didn't want to leave my pants under those conditions. When pressed, she randomly raised the price to $18-$30 per pair, giving a different excuse for each pair--wide leg, style, and so on--and claiming it was because I brought her many items. She also wanted to charge $5 per button ($10 extra per pair) on top of the hem. I was also told it would take almost three weeks to finish because she's busy. I don't understand how bringing more business justifies being overcharged--especially after being quoted $10 just yesterday and the pants are nothing elaborate... just thin, flowy material. When I told her I would wait (because it would've been nearly $300), she went into my bag and started yanking out all of the safety pins without asking. Completely unprofessional behavior, dishonest pricing, and a total waste of time. I certainly do not recommend. Find a tailor who values honesty and appreciates your business. read more

I paid about $42 to take a few inches off of and hem a chiffon bridesmaid dress. I came in on a Tuesday and it was ready to be picked up on Saturday. All communication with me seemed kind of rushed and I would have appreciated a quote before she started marking up my dress, but overall I'm satisfied with the end product. I've been trying to find a new tailor in Plano, and stumbled upon Plano Alterations due to Yelp reviews -- they certainly did not disappoint. I got a pair of pants taken in here at the waist for $13, and they did an amazing job on them! I took them in on a Friday and had them back by Monday. I needed an alteration on a special occasion dress for my son's wedding. The lady was very helpful and intuitive about what needed to be done to get the best result. She said it would be ready in 2 days and she delivered as promised. I don't need alterations very often but when I do, I will definitely use Plano Alterations again. I went to get my long maxi skirt to get a couple inches cut off and take some material down around the waist. It'll was done the next day and was perfect! Extremely reasonable pricing as well. I will most definitely go back again. There are also fitting rooms if needed to be. The only negative which really isn't a negative is that they only take cash or check as pay. I wish I could just use my debit card but it's fine, not that big of a hassle! Other then that my overall experience was great! read more
