Furthermore, I was then contacted by Ben Gregoire who is the Project Cordinator of all these amazing Solar Titans that I will soon mention that came to my home to install the solar panels! 30 to be exact. This is the worst company and experience I have ever experienced! My last review for Sunrun was 2 years ago and I still do not have any resolution for my extremely high MID bill in addition to my bill from Sunrun! From my last review, they added more panels that was supposed to resolve my bills that are over $300 from MID! Do since then the only thing that has changed is now I have 2 billed from Sunrun and no relief to my MID bill! My living situation has not changed since my initial install, but I keep being time by Sunrun that it's my daily and I'm using to much electricity.....bulls$&@t.....nothing has changed!!!!!! Sunrun needs to own this and either remove these panels or have my solar do what it was stated it would do! Save yourself the headache and just don't do it. Low production, battery charging issues, unanswered questions, Absolutely zero offset in electricity bill. Beyond horrible customer service, multiple visits from techs and no solution or repair ever made. System has not properly functioned since day one and they still expect payment. All this plus SEVERE roof damage. No other options at this point but to seek legal assistance as they simply cannot or will not make this right. Complete and total nightmare with no end in sight. I have been using a Sunrun solar system for about 12 years now. I have to say the service and support were pretty good for the first 10 years. About 6 months ago I noticed my electric bills were going up, and I took a look at my solar plant online. The Enphase online information showed that I have 4 panels out of 36 which are out of service. I called Sunrun Customer service and arranged for a technician to come out an evaluate the system and begin the repairs. This was back in December of '22. Since then Sunrun has gone silent. I have contacted them many times, and they say they will be back to me, but they don't get back to you. I can't seem to get anyone to respond with a plan to get the system back up and fully running. At this point I would caution anyone about using SunRun for their solar service! read more

We assumed the solar systems (2) attached to a property in Tracy. The communication to transfer service was slow and disorganized. We considered to buy out the system, but they won't honor the price listing from years ago to previous owner. Claims that price went up for the system/inflation, etc. What a joke. My roof was damaged during installation by their contractors and they all neglected to inform me and covered up the damages with a garbage bag. Last night the badge wearing SunRun lanyard employee continued to insist he was an employee of PGE sent from the government to discuss high energy usage. He used my first and last name to "prove" he was an employee of PGE. He would not leave, and even after I walked away he stay on my walk and continuously rang our door bell. Today I called PGE and was told they do not use door to door salespeople and that the fella was not telling the truth. They encouraged me to report the incident to the police, and let Sun Run Corporate know. Of course, no one at Sun Run could point me in the right direction. The contract read that it took my coverage from 150% down to 75% coverage of my PG&E Bill. With what I have to pay Sunrun and PG&E I pay more than before. Sunrun is the worst. Our system is only 5 years old and I received a high power bill. Called them to fix it and 5 months later still not fixed because they say they don't have parts. The worst part is I still have to make lease payment on top of high bills and they can't even tell me when parts will be in. I call each month, not one call from them to me( poor customer service) to re explain my system isn't working only for them to read off of a cue card sorry your system isn't working we will fix it soon. So frustrating dealing with this company! The only reason we went with them is because they were backed by Costco. Our inverter went bad and is still under warranty. At first they argued this, even though it is clearly stated in our paperwork, now the say they are waiting on the manufacturer for the inverter. It's been 5 months! You can't tell me it takes this long. I'm sure they are installing new systems, but refuse to fix ours. We are losing money and summer is just around the corner. V3 was the install for this company. They permitted an electrical panel finalized and it was the wrong size per our contract. When they did come out to do the correct panel they didn't permit the second one. They did a half ass stucco patch and never put the netting up around our panels to keep squirrels out! I was looking on line for solar companies and SunRun called back immediately. I went with them because Costco uses them for their members. I had my panels installed in no time. Then when it came time for my inspection and was told that the wrong size breaker was installed and needed to be fixed and another inspection. This was in January. By the end of February I got clearance. I am still waiting on my connection. When I called PG&E in March they said that SunRun did not send in one of the requested documents. Yet, they told me that everything was fine. I was also told by PG&E that I should have Solar by April 19. I messaged SunRun about a week ago and they said they were still waiting on PG&E. I called PG&E and they told me that SunRun just sent my permit to operate on May 5. Now I can wait another 30 days for PG&E to convert my energy to Solar. I am thoroughly disgusted by the rep at SunRun. She keeps telling me everything is ok when it is not. I referred a friend in February and within 6 weeks she had hers up and running with no glitches. read more

After over 1 month Bright Planet Solar told us if you don't have it in writing you're out of luck Where is your business ethics,, duty to your customers. I do not want invite your representative to my home, if I just want to get quote with known parameters with standard installation conditions and compare with existing quotes, that I got from other companies. I called several times to try to understand the bill. One year later, our trueup was over $2,000 and we still owed $17,000 on these useless panels that do nothing. THE SCAM OF ALL SCAMS! YOUR UTILITY COSTS WILL INCREASE, NOT DECREASE. Everything NEGATIVE you read about this company is true. The POWER PURCHASE AGREEMENT is a scam. It does not save you any money on your utility bills and gives Sunrun all the tax rebates and financial benefits of going Solar. They are in partnership with Southern California Edison and other major utility companies. Sunrun and your utility companies basically use your home as a makeshift powerplant that doesn't save you any money, instead benefits both of them financially while holding your home hostage. for 20 years. Furthermore, the engineers at this company deliberately design a system too small to meet your electric needs. We have plenty more roof space that could have been used for panels and actually allow us to benefit from solar. Instead we are losing money on our electric bills and have our monthly payment to sunrun increase each year. All and all it's a huge scam. Sunrun hasn't even cleaned our maintained the system as promised. No yearly cleanings, no follow up, no nothing. The Sales reps for this company are encouraged to be dishonest to potential customers and lock them into a contract by any means necessary including deceptive and dishonest sales tactics (Don't believe me, read the multiple reviews on Glassdoor from former Sunrun employees or talk to former workers). They will promise you the world, and once you sign that contract you are met with nothing but excuses on why your system isn't activated (took me six months and tweeting their CEO to finally have it up and running), why your system isn't working and why they won't fix damage they did to your home. Dealing with the regional Sales Managers is the worst because they are behind the deceptive sales practices and horrible customer service you're receiving. Dealing with them is like dealing with the most corrupt and crooked Politicians. When you try to hold them accountable, all they do is shift accountability and gaslight you. You never get any resolution to legitimate concerns. They are master manipulators who know how to avoid helping customers with legitimate grievances by pushing customers buttons and upsetting them so they don't want to call. I could go on forever about how messed up and dishonest this company is. I have spoken to former employees who worked under Travis Leung, Regional Manager for Inland Empire Riverside county region. They stated under his leadership they are encouraged to lie to people and give false information. They are encouraged to rush customers through the contract so they question it. This sadly is common business practice that was taught from the READ EVERYTHING WITH AN ATTORNEY BEFORE SIGNING. They clearly spent millions in legal fees to draft up a sneaky and deceptive, but legally binding contract which the Sales Team rushes you to sign without thoroughly reviewing it. Once you sign and they are on your home, you're screwed. They have you hostage. I could go on about how horrible this company. They financially exploit senior citizens, hard working families and people on limited incomes all for the sake of a lousy commission. They don't pay their workers in a timely manner and over work them. Everything about this organization is BAD BAD BAD to the core. But customers are finally organizing and getting their messages out on Social media, Youtube and in person. I have saved almost 150 people for going with this company in six months (yes I keep track). Every time I am in Costco or Home Depot and I see their sales reps trying to scam another innocent person, I approach them and share my experience. Every time they thank me and walk away. Sunrun might have my home hostage and I'm stuck paying for their snake oil solar panels that do nothing. However, Myself and many other customers will continue getting the word out that no good can come of purchasing, leasing or having one of their systems on your home. If you do decide to go with sunrun for solar, purchase your system so they can't cheat you out of the rebates and you own it outright. But it's best to with a local, smaller Solar provider and avoid this Sunrun all together. There are no benefits doing business with this company. Do not even bother consulting with them. Hold time is ridiculous........and if by miracle someone answers the phone, they have no knowledge or authority to fix anything. You get a promise that a manager will call you back within 2 hours. Maria has a professional demeanor and was thorough in her explanations to all the questions both my husband and I asked. She "DID NOT sell and run" like most of the solar reps my friends who have #solar have experienced. She continuously keeps in contact, even reviewed our #PG&E bills after solar system was installed and she was already scheduled to review our annual true-up bill which is $0 dollars. With our credits, our PG&E monthly bills are less than $8/month. We paid a little more for the best recommended equipment Sunrun has to offer to cover needs of the home and #electricvehicle. I had this exact same problem 3 years ago with SunRun. I had to file a small claims court lawsuit to get it fixed. A lawyer from SunRun called me and then service started to happen. In 2019 I had 2 bad panels. They had paneled my house with a crappy brand. Chinese I believe. Now the other 19 all need to be replaced. I can't get any action out of them at all. The only thing I get are excuses and "someone is working on it". I WILL file another lawsuit. It appears the only way to get service out of SunRun is smack them between the eyes with a 2X4. read more

Total scam. San Juan go through a company called loan pal. I purchased my solar panels from Costco in Stockton California just about two years ago. I finance $36,462 I have made payments for two years just a little above 4800 I requested a payoff amount and I O war and then I financed $36,515. I totally understand how loans work that they're loaded back half But you owe $55 more than I financed after two years what a rip off what a scam fuck this company I won hundred percent would not have Sunrun install solar panels on your home. Beware of Sunrun's warranty policy. I have a system is 7 years old and a couple of panels have been degrading. I contacted sunrun service and they said that "the system is on and doesn't report any errors" so I would have to pay $91 per hour for them to come out and check the system. When I asked if they would be able to determine if a panel has degraded and not just confirm that "it is on" they said they are not a tech and don't know then hung up. Also if you go with Sunrun be advised that if you add any other solar to your home in the future (expanding with a company other than sunrun) you will void the sunrun warranty. Confirm that with your sales representative before you buy. There are better deals out there but you will have to decide to give up your warranty for a better deal/panels/service. read more
