In particular, Skyler could not have been more helpful, managing our project and acting as a point of contact. Others included David in sales who demystified the process, Varon who coordinated with the utility to ensure we met all requirements, and Gino, who collaborated with Maxwell Power (formerly HDM Renewable Finance), the clean-energy company that helped finance our residential system. On site, the design and install team did a great job keeping things simple. The entire system, including battery and thirteen panels, was installed according to Ramiros's expert design within just four hours. Good quality hardware was used to tie to the roof, which was inspected by our roofer and given a big thumbs up for not causing problems. But even before that, David our site survey tech, gave us the sense that all would proceed well, as he collected necessary data by drone, and made a favorable first impression with his personable approach. Toward the end of the multi-month process, which included time to get a new roof installed, we passed city inspection with YES tech, Dario, an extremely courteous young man, present to ensure we made it through that last step and PTO (permission to operate). YES has an excellent and well-deserved reputation because of these people and others who worked on our behalf. The company can do better automating some of the process, and to be fair, they say they are working on transitioning to a CRM software solution for this purpose. But, I can say that over a period of several months, I had excellent communication with many helpful people. Skyler in customer service was my primary contact and that made all the difference. My thanks to YES for helping us make this wonderful and complex project a reality. We love our new YES-backed system and look forward to working with the company again in the future.

I had a frustrating experience with Your Energy Solutions regarding a warranty transfer. We were later charged $500 with no prior breakdown or explanation of the fee. I clearly communicated that I would be the one paying this charge. Despite that, the service department reached out directly to the buyer and asked who would be paying. This unnecessary contact created confusion and complications during the escrow process that could have easily been avoided. The lack of transparency on the warranty transfer fee and the poor internal communication caused more stress than necessary. Businesses handling real estate-related services should be more careful with both contract clarity and how they communicate with parties involved in a transaction.

We have made multiple phone calls over the years needing assistance with system issues and were constantly told someone would call us back. Those calls rarely happened, to the point that my husband drove 40 miles to their office just to speak to someone in person - with no resolution. Because SIG solar failed to provide support, WE had to contact the inverter manufacturer, twice in the past few years to get the system functioning, something the installer should have handled. When we just recently realized that we needed our roof replaced, SIG solar charged us $8000.00 to remove and reinstall the panels. We had to pay it because we did not want to do anything to jeopardize our warranty, effectively forcing us into this expense. This company appears focused on sales, not long-term service. For a major investment like solar, this level of non-responsiveness and lack of accountability is unacceptable. Experiences like this are why homeowners rely on consumer protection and contractor oversight agencies.

Our first meeting with Jon was on March 28, we signed on March 30, the system was installed on April 27, the meter collar was installed on May 13, and we received Permission to Operate about a week later. ProjectSolar will do absolutely nothing. Installation: The company ProjectSolar subcontracted for my install is incompetent. They butchered my siding making a conduit entry to the main service panel, used an indoor rated enclosure for the outdoor critical loads panel, installed consumption monitoring CTs incorrectly, and omitted circuits from critical loads that I requested be backed up. Almost TWO YEARS later, some of these items still haven't been addressed. Maintenance: When a PCB on my Enphase gateway stopped working, I asked ProjectSolar to schedule a site visit to install a replacement unit. Weeks later they still hadn't made any effort to schedule a visit. At some point I gave up and did it myself with help from Enphase.
