I would have given 5 stars if the technician didn't try to swindle me with 30 min of labor. It's 165 first hour and 95 succeeding. He claims he did the job for 2 hours. I showed him the camera and time stamp of his arrival but still no care. Good thing I called and sent over my footages. I was only charged an hour and a half. They replaced my HVAC in March of 2021. The heater whistled when it came on and they got it to settle down. As it was the toward end of the cold season I stopped using it. It kept doing it last year and they sent a tech out to fix it. It subsided some but still whistled. This winter it started again and after a few visits from the tech it still whistled. I spoke with a supervisor, Dustin, about the problem. He sent one more tech out to virify it had a problem he called me back a told me they were going to replace it. Lovotti tech replaced the start capacitor on my AC in July. It caught on FIRE in October. Lovotti dispatched a tech the same day. AFTER the tech fixed the AC, he handed me a bill for $300 and said the fire wasn't their fault. I refused to pay because I didn't authorize the work. I tried 3 times to discuss the situation with Lovotti. Each time they promised to have a service manager call, then just sent another bill. Now they've sent it collections. If I could, I'd give them 0 stars for quality of work, poor customer services and performing work without written authorization. He wanted to charge us $1,200 for 8 lbs. of freon for a unit that only holds less than 4 lbs. We called Lovotti for a second opinion. Tony checked everything and told us the disconnect was bypassed. The only thing the unit needed was the coils to be cleaned and he cleaned them. Tony dealt with the tenants and took the time to explain what to expect from the unit. He was professional, knowledgeable, honest, and a likable person. Total cost= $142.50 The unit is working wonderfully and our tenant is cool and happy. This company is horrible there was only one person who always tried to figure out how to get things done. They rest of the workers are rude and denied me being able to speak with their supervisor and after going back and forth for a year now to get a simple plate that they missed over multiple visits and stopping me from getting the city to give me my permit. Now after their constant mistake from there workers the city will now charge them for the inspection, and they are wanting me to pay the bill. I tried explaining my case and Gloria blew me off with attitude saying how she doesn't care what proof I have it is not their problem that if I don't get it done it's going to be on me and my property. She claimed to have spoken with her manager who she said was Brian after denying letting me speak with him saying it's not on them they 'tried ' to reach me. I have had to take multiple unpaid time off from work to be there so their workers can do their job, yet it still has not gotten done over a year later and they are wanting to take no responsivity. After I had just previously been told that they knew it was their fault and that they would cover the cost if one came up, they had Gloria call me and she told me otherwise. I have multiple pages of proof of calls, voicemails, and emails from not only them but the city as well explaining how they have not been doing their job right and how I have tried multiple times to get this done. Lovotti Air replaced our air conditioning system. Before doing so they completely inspected the old system and actually found the problem. Other companies in the past were unable to find the real issue. The unit was 12 years old and it made sense to replace and upgrade the unit rather than repair it. They did a complete under house duct inspection and fixed issues found. They inspected every floor vent in the house and sealed each one. The duct work performed from the back of the unit to the house was light years more professional than what it replaced. My GC recommended that I go to Lovotti for my AC, which stopped blowing cool air. The tech, Tony, came by and assessed the compressor and found a broken capacitor. Easy fix for him. I also got a small leak filled just to get by. He didn't pressure me at all to replace my coolant lines. There's a reason that this business has been around for so long: good service at a reasonable and honest price. Don't let Lovotti's average Yelp review dissuade you. AC service can and will be costly. At least get a professional like Lovotti to come by and inspect your system. And don't expect service right away. I contacted Lovotti to perform a maintenance on a mini-split HVAC system that they installed 3 years ago. My bad was I didn't perform any maintenance annually. The Lovotti tech called and informed me when he would arrive (within the arrival window I was expecting). Arrived on time and was very courteous and professional. He expeditiously performed the maintenance and left the cottage clean as it was when he arrived. I've used Lovotti several times: Installed a new Mini-split HVAC system, Installed a transfer box for my generator and now for the maintenance. Was lucky to work with Jose from the plumbing division on an issue with water backup at our home. To our detriment we had called Bell Brothers previously that promised an $84 clearing which took two days for them to show up and after four hours couldn't complete the job. The technician recommended that we spend $500 to pull the toilet. I ended up doing this myself to save the cost. When that didn't fix the issue he recommend we install a $3,000 clean-out. I decided we needed someone local. Within less than a few hours Jose and his crew showed up to our house. He asked only a few simple questions and within 15 minutes the issue was repaired. Albeit embarrassed for calling the first company I know I will always make sure to contact Lovotti for any HVAC and plumbing issues we are having. After having two of their men come into our households to fix the walk in closet's lights from the master bedroom, I noticed that a small pouch I had left on the top shelves was missing. That pouch contained a diamond necklace and a sapphire ring from my late mother, and are extremely important to me. These workers had come in two separate times to fix the light, and they are the only people other than me and my husband to enter our house. They called us to come out and do an AC tune up through PG&E, our AC unit had been working perfectly prior to their visit. I even have video evidence of the technician confirming that our AC unit was working perfectly. It has not worked properly since that day and does not cool down the house. Technician came out and diagnosed a bad fan motor was the cause of our AC unit short cycling. 3 hours later at approximately 4:15 pm when we turned on the AC it again short cycled and shut off after running only 3-1/2 minutes.
