My old heating unit was 40 years old. A legend. But I wanted to replace it before the new year and not have to spend another summer nervous about the AC. 113 degree summers are no joke. I got quotes from several places and this seemed like the best deal and had a great warranty. My installers were great. Loved them. They were respectful and always wore shoe coverings. They cleaned up and answered all my insane questions. 5 stars for them. Most recently, I had a summer maintenance come out and Daniel R came over and handled it. He was polite, wore shoe covers (super important to me), and did his full check. He even answered my inane question about a weird looking part of my unit. I love that they take pics to ensure everything is good and for my own records. My unit is only a 1 1/2 years old so I expect it to stay in top form for a while. The ONLY complaint I have about Love's is getting a maintenance can be a pain. I've had them cancel on me once and I had to rebook for WEEKS later. And they can be booked over a month out. Just a heads up, they will only service equipment IF they installed it. I have never heard of a service company not willing to work on equipment installed by someone else. If you buy a house, you may not know who installed it. Last week Wednesday (1/7) I called because we had a mini-split installed (DIY) and I was told that before you turn it on, have an HVAC company come out and test it, check the pressure in the lines and then turn it on. When I called, the nice lady on the phone said that they do not diagnose or work on equipment unless they have done the installation. OK, no problem, I called their "sweet" competitor and they sent out a technician within 48 hours to do the job. 2 stars only because the lady on the phone was nice, although again, I am shocked that a service company will not do service calls read more

Some background, 20 year old A/C unit was beginning to show signs of failure such as fan not running at times, capacitors swapped a couple of times, low freon and trouble of cooling the house during hot summers. Worked with the Love's team on getting something up and running in a pinch and they delivered a Rheem 5 ton 16 Seer split system. I chose to replace my gas furnace for a heat pump. This made my decision easier being I have solar on the property which is paid off. Additional advancements were made such as the widening of my Air Handler, replaced all fire alarms and added carbon monoxide sensors to meet code. The team used many precautions to work safe and clean. I'm sure I had a lot of options but I elected to go with a newer unit, variable speed, the house is much cooler and the unit qualified for a tax credit. Everything went smoothly. Everything from the consultation to the installation. Carl came to the house looked at the A/C unit outside and the furnace in the attic. Talked to us about the systems that they set up and helped us understand which systems would work best for our home. We were lucky, and Santi and his crew were available to start working the next day. I got text messages to let me know when they were on the way and when they arrived. The crew used shoe covers on their boots and used tarps to protect the floor. They cleaned everything and explained how the system worked as well as taught us how to use the new thermostats. We had a HVAC tune up & inspection last month. Our traditional original gas furnace & A/C were still running but we're barely able to keep up with this summer's heat. We learned about the Federal tax credit that expires at the end of this year & all the new regulations for Title 24 in California. We decided to upgrade our system now instead of next year because of the higher costs in 2026 for all the new rules & regulations. We decided on a RUUD heat pump system from Love's Air. They were great with the entire process from financing to installation. The day of the install Love's text me a photo of one of the installation team members, Xavier. Followed shortly with a phone call from him. Xavier, Wyatt, & Tim all arrived on time as scheduled. They explained everything about the installation & each went to work with their assigned duties. Every team member was respectful & took excellent care of our home. Floor & shoe covers, furniture & clothes were covered anywhere near the areas they were working. Took about 6 hours to demo the old system & install the new one. Everything step was thoroughly explained as they worked through the day. The new system included a Nest thermostat & as Xavier helped me setup the Google Home app, Wyatt & Tim cleaned up everything. Swept up the driveway & left the home cleaner than when they arrived! We couldn't be happier with our new heatpump & it's worked perfectly for 2+ weeks. We've had the first of 2 inspections completed with no issues. I had a scheduled tune up for the heater that Loves Air installed in 2023. I received a text and a phone call from the technician (Joe Jacob) informing me of his estimated arrival time. Upon Joe's arrival (he arrived on time), I greeted him at the door and he explained what he was going to do. He went back to his work truck and gathered his equipment. Before entering my house, he put on his "booties" to cover his work boots. Joe went on to complete his job in a timely manner. Joe informed me about a labor warranty plan that is available for a fair price. He mentioned the parts are still under warranty and it's something I should consider. Due to a thermostat issue, which was undiagnosed they came in and replaced a capacitor. The unit being old was an automatic decision to replace and quote 5 figures for the job. Got someone to diagnose the thermostat issue which kept the AC from not shutting off which in turn caused the capacitor to blow off. $100 bucks for a new thermostat and the issue was fixed. That's where it gets iffy, because trying to pay the rest of the amount my father owed was not easy. Tina was rude and unprofessional she thought I was lying about the credit card being checked on my dad's contract. It was not checked on her end so therefore they'll charge a percentage to pay with card. She could have handled it differently but she was like "oh well" kind of attitude. A company has not only need professionalism in their crew but in their customer service. If I ever need AC/Heater unit I will not go through them.
