I called at 8 AM and said come on out and they said they could see me at 12. At 9, the tech calls and says can I come by right now? I'm like, come on in! Cristian had it up and running in a few minutes. It's an almost 40 y/o machine so you have to admire the aged craftsmanship. He sold me on getting a membership. I had given up my home warranty because my appliances are all pretty new except my AC. The AHS was upping my monthly to $70 and that didn't sound sustainable. (They were a pain to cancel too). I wish I had known about this membership prior to me paying $250 for a weekend call. But it was worth it to be cool again. Today someone came out for my maintenance call. He checked my unit over and gave the all clear. Hopeful this membership keeps my unit on life support for a few more. ETA: and I like that they use the shoe covers. I really hate shoes in my house but work must be done! ‍

I recently discovered the rooftop unit had no filter installed inside it -- even though there's a dedicated slot for one. Three months ago, I called to let them know I had already changed the indoor filters myself. I was just being courteous, thinking I was saving them time. Not once did they explain that the rooftop unit also needs a filter -- or that I had options depending on the system's static pressure and setup. That's basic info any professional should offer. What's worse, when I had a second opinion done by a trusted HVAC tech, he found a large tear in the ductwork -- something that likely had been there for years. This company had been called out before to check that very issue, and they failed to catch it. Why? Because they never performed a proper static pressure test or thorough inspection. They just show up, do the bare minimum, and leave -- but still charge full price every time. And in commercial service, they know most people won't question it. This kind of neglect doesn't just waste money -- it shortens your system's lifespan and increases your long-term repair costs. Be careful. Ask the hard questions. Because unless you do, they won't...LOOK ELSEWHERE

Also, because Honey's is contracted through Costco we would get a Costco gift card for a percentage of the price (not worth it). The first step is the salesman comes out and explains all they offer and inspects the units and goes up in the attic to inspect our duct work. He reported that our ducting looks fine and so we proceed. Install goes fine and they gave us a year of free maintenance check ups - 2 times a year - summer & winter. Both free visits the technicians reported no issues, everything working great. GOOD, because it's brand new! Hindsight, our mistake was paying to keep the maintenance plan for the second year because now when each technician comes out they start trying to upsell you. The damn thing was less than 2 years old when the furnace technician tells us we probably need a surge protector installed inside the unit because this area has a lot of power surges, for a ridiculous price. 6 months later the A/C technician tells us our ductwork is too small. HUH? The guy that sold us the system inspected the duct work and said it's absolutely fine. And btw, they will charge you double the price of what an air filter costs. I found the exact filters on amazon and put them in myself. Also, once they gave us a window of say 1-5 when technician would arrive and then called at 5:30 and said they wouldn't be here until 7. 2 other times they cancelled and rescheduled. Our neighbors have since had similar bad experiences with this company and we are all very disappointed and are moving on from them. Would not recommend.

That's when I started calling around for help. Most places I called were quick to ask what was wrong and immediately quote me a fee just to come out. I was considering one of them until I spoke with Meigs. He was awesome. He told me he offers free quotes over the phone, but he didn't just give me a quote. He actually tried to help me troubleshoot the issue right then and there. He spent about 10 minutes on the phone with me, calmly walking me through step-by-step instructions. He suggested there might be another GFCI hidden somewhere else in the house or even in the garage. The garage hadn't even crossed my mind, but it made sense since the restrooms are closer to that side of the house. Since we don't live at the property, I wasn't there at the time to test it. I told him we'd try it when we were back there later in the week. I must've sounded a little flustered because he kindly said, "When you get there, call me if you need me," offering to walk me through everything again if necessary. Sure enough, when we checked the garage, there it was, a GFCI outlet we hadn't noticed before. We reset it, and everything worked like a charm. There was power again in the restrooms downstairs. Thanks to Meigs, he saved me at least $350 of the visit and solved the issue in 10 minutes over the phone. He absolutely could've skipped the troubleshooting and charged the service fee, but he chose to help instead, and that says a lot about his integrity. Highly recommend. Thank you, Meigs!

The company sold their solar package that included solar CPA advice. They never delivered. We reached out to both the company and our representative multiple times and never got a response. Terrible customer service, to the point of insulting. I would never work with this company again. There are so many other companies out there. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY!

Do not use Love's Air HVAC company They are not a 5 star rated company like they advertise. If only one person reads this and decides they don't want to do business with them then I helped someone and cost Love's Air tens of thousands of dollars. If everything goes right on the installation then maybe they are okay but that's every company. It's when things go wrong and how the company resolves those issues that determines if they deserve your business. The company was not forthcoming in dealing with the issues and only after me repeatedly calling would something get done. This made me to be the "bad" person for "bothering" them to get their "mistakes" fixed in a timely manner. There are 3 sides to a conflict, theirs, yours and the truth. I'm giving you the truth.... The Issues: 1. Sheetmetal screws found in the carpet 2. Vents not fully caulked until I pointed them out, this was supposed to be a 5 star company 3. Broke access panel to attic 4.Put equipment and materials on top of blown in insultation, thus flattening it 5. Unable to match paint for new access panel as they threw out the original 6.Cut piece out of ceiling and repair job substandard, can see the drywall tape and paint still no match 7.Made me to feel like the bad person for calling because I wanted them to fix their mistakes 8.Unacceptable customer service rep. One response I over heard and I quote " ...Bullshit, i ain't given this guy the satisfaction of getting work done today..". 9.Felling to get back to customer in a timely manner They did get the insulation issue resolved as for the paint job and ceiling patch repair , still waiting. The person doing the drywall repair knew it was a bad job, their response was someone would get back with me. Five days later and 1 phone call to the company but no response. The details: We agreed on a price, just over $18,000, and installation was scheduled. Most went right but little things started to raise my attention. First there were a number of sheet metal screws that must have fell in the carpet, even after notifying them, we still found one. Second the caulking of the vents for 2 of them was missed on one side. I notified the person and he corrected the problem. Not big issues but then things got worse. They left only half the trim up around the access panel, ie.. piece of sheetrock to access the attic. This was done just to make it easier to access the attic. Unfortunately, Later that night that piece came crashing down and breaking. They wanted to take that piece to make another and use it to match the paint. I was reluctant as once they took it, I had no easy way to match the paint. They guaranteed me it would not be a problem so I let them. My mistake. They came back with a new piece textured and ready for paint. They just needed to take the broken sheetrock and match the paint. They wrapped up the job and left. After not hearing back from them I called about the painting.. they had no idea what was going on! At this point I wondered what else they screwed up. Upon looking into the attic I noticed large areas of insulation that had been flattened, 300sq ft or more! This is where they put large sheet metal vents and panels. I immediately brought this to their attention and also discussed the problem of the paint, again. They made me out as the "bad" guy or at least made to feel like one. The company was not forthcoming in dealing with the issues and only after me repeatedly calling would something get done. In one instance their customer service rep made the statement over the phone, not knowing i could here her and l quote " ...Bullshit, i ain't given this guy the satisfaction of getting work done today..". It took 2 visits before they resolved the insulation issue but now, they made the paint issue worse. Since they threw away the original piece, they wanted to cut a piece out of the ceiling. Again, they made a convincing argument to me it would not be an issue. Mistake number 2 for me, I partly blame myself for letting them do this. They put a piece of drywall tape over the area and made a half serious attempt to fix it. Looks like crap. The person doing the work knew it was a bad job, their response was someone would get back with me. Two days later and 1 phone call to the company but no response. So now I get to post feedback. Do not use this company for HVAC installation. I repeat do not use Love's Air HVAC out of Salida for ac units, furnaces' or other work. It will be interesting to hear Love Airs response. Update- for the owner! 1. We understand our unit is 12-13 years old and we were given options last year but we were told if units working fine then we do not need to take immediate actions. 2. Prior to yesterday's visit, we just had a maintenance performed last week and all was good. No immediate recommendations was given. 3. If as your said this could happen, shouldn't your technician go over the possible issues with us before he start operating? He was here for less than 15 mins and broke the compressor. 4. I am in awe that after management showed up they told us it's just bad luck and they cannot take any responsibility. Then proceeded to give me a quote for 6-7k for a replacement compressor. 5. I had a working AC and your technician showed up, within 15 mins, messed up my AC and give me a quote for 6-7k? If you were me, what would you say? What is fair is fair, in this hot weather and I just had a surgery and I have no AC and now what do I do? 6. I will attach my service export a week ago from your company and all the research I have done! This is the 1st part of my review. We have used loves air to maintenance our AC unit for 3 years now. A week ago the tech Joel showed up and said everything was fine. We did have to add some freon a year old and was told we have a small leak & provided quotes. My husband decided to go forward with the leak & add more freon. Yesterday around 11:20 Joel showed up, as he was adding liquids, the compressor made a hizzing sounds & Joel attempted to cool it and it made banging noise & the whole thing stopped working l. My husband immediately came inside and told me" I think he messed up" and got very worried , he spent about another hour working and cooling and trying to get it to work and no luck. He came back and told us, the compressor went bad the same time he arrived it and quoted us over 6k for a replacement. I said no way, my AC was working before you showed up, it went bad because you broke it, probably because you poured it too fast. ( we chatgbt is right away as he was attempting to fix it) he said no, it's just bad luck. We proceeded to call office and a supervisor came out and told us the same thing, said just bad luck and they can't take any responsibility.I was in shock, I told them I do not have 6k to fix a part they broke and now I have no AC. I called office again asking for the owner and was told owner does not handle this and we will have a conference call Monday morning with office manager. I know this guy broke it and doesn't want to take responsibility. If owner see my review I hope you have the decency to contact me and make this right. read more

It's never too late to write a review. My review might be long. In case you guys don't want to read all the way to the end, just wanted to give everyone advice.. If you want to hire this company especially they have tons of great reviews well my advice is to keep your eyes on them. Never let them out of your sight and don't hesitate to ask questions. This Loves Air Company is a "SCAM"! Do not hire this company!!! I am writing to formally express our serious concerns and dissatisfaction with the service we received from Loves Air Company. The technician that came to our home sabotaged our AC unit. We are in shock by the behavior and actions of the technician which we believe were unethical, unkind, disingenuous, evil, and tricky, any awful name you can think of, you name it, it belongs to him! During the visit, the technician was working on our unit and cause our AC unit to completely stop working in 110 degree weather. Following the technician's visit, our AC began to exhibit new problems that weren't present before. After the visit, we sought a second opinion from a different HVAC professional. It was revealed that the unit had been tampered with in a manner that suggested an attempt to cause further damage, which would result in additional service calls and consequently higher charges. Having such great reviews of Loves Air that any customers would fall for, sadly it can turn around to be fraudulent and will take advantage of you if they can. Please be careful with this company. Do not allow them to fix or replace your AC or Heater, unless you want to be scammed out of your money. Love Air has great reviews and that was the reason why we chose this company at first, but after several visits including the yearly maintenance, we are done! Instead of spending $18,000 or more, like one of Loves Air reviews from a person named Tony and from other customers that had awful service from Loves Air, we decided to go to another company and we're so glad we did! Glad we saw and read these people's reviews of their awful experience from Loves Air. That helps a lot! To the business manager, after what we went thru, I am not interested in your response. Just please be good to your customers and be kind. Spread that to your technicians. We as a customers have good valid reason why we have to write reviews and please respect that. We highly recommend Loves! Our first experience with them was their Service Tech Manny, who came out to check out why our AC wasn't kicking on inside the house and of course the day he showed up it worked when he turned it on so it was going to be a tough one to diagnose. Since we had a 25 year old system we agreed with his recommendation to not touch anything (didn't want to be without since it happen to be working and was right as temps were getting hot), as there was little point to spend all the money to diagnose and repair if we were just planning on replacing soon. Because of that experience we did decide to get a couple quotes on how much it would be to replace out old system so we called Loves back (as well as another local company). The first company came out and didn't look at anything but our unit out side and didn't check anything else and said they get back to us with a quote but gave us a ballpark (which they ended up being 1k higher than that ballpark when we finally got the quote days later). Loves came by later that day, their rep Carl came in was very friendly and knowledgeable and he looked at every aspect of our system so we felt very comfortable that he knew what he was looking at and that he wouldn't steer us wrong. He quoted us out and got it to a great price, with the free water heater promo as well, which was something else on our list to replace since it was over 10 years old and we've been wanting a tankless. Loves ended up pretty much same price as other company which doesn't give us the free water heater or all the awesome guarantees, like if they found an issue it wouldn't raise the price since Carl checked it all out. Check out their website for that whole list as I'm already going on long enough! Next came install day, and their team (Justin, Austin, Mike, Danny and Joel) was very friendly and just as professional as every one had been so far from Loves and got it all done in one day, and didn't leave behind a mess at all (another one of their guarantees) and kept us updated on their progress as the day went on. They were so great that we've already recommend our family reach out to them for a quote for their house too! We will be having them come out for all our maintenance needs on our HVAC for sure. Where do I start? Juanita and Alan are amazing! Short version is I love, Love's! Long version: I have 5 year old system that decided it no longer wanted to cool. It is still under warranty so I reached out to the original installer. That guy pumped a little refrigerant into it and when that didn't work, ghosted me for days. I contacted another local company that deals with my brand of unit and they sent a tech out. After collecting the diagnostic fee, she promptly advised me the compressor pump was bad and even under warranty, I am looking at close to $8,000 to repair. Stunned, I contacted Matt from Love's in hopes to get a 2nd opinion. If I need to drop that much cash, I want to be darn sure that is the correct route. Matt was suspicious about a 5 year old system needing a compressor and offered to connect me with someone to schedule a tech. Enter Juanita. She carefully listened as I explained my situation and lengthy description. She took it all in with an empathetic ear amd made me feel heard. Juanita wasn't going to send just the next available tech, no she had someone specific in mind that could figure out trickier issues that competitors often overlook. She booked Alan. Alan arrived at my house all smiles and eager to make my world a cooler place. Alan, like Juanita listened to my poor description of the issue and listened to the story of the previous 2 techs from competing companies. Alan went up to the hot roof and troubleshot the system for roughly 40 minutes. Alan came down, still smiling even in this heat, and said he believed it was a misdiagnosed TXV. He took the time to explain why he felt it was a TXV and how he was able to get it working right now. Alan did warn the valve may need replacing in the future, but for now we are working great. He provided a comprehensive quote in case the valve should act up again but advised we wait to see. He could have easily told me we needed to order the part, but Alan wasn't there to hustle me. Best part, Alan could have trashed talked his competition. But, he didn't. Instead Alan explained how both techs could have easily and mistakenly arrive at their diagnosis. Alan is a true pro! On a Friday morning our 32 year old a/c quit. Weather was hot. Terribly hot. 3 companies were called, all who said they could make it out Monday. Love's was called at 10 am Friday. At 10:30 service tech Marco was here. I personally watched him run the diagnostics, first because it's good to learn more about home systems, and second there was a certain wariness of a person I didn't know and a company of which I've never heard. After replacing an electrical device on the compressor and trying to run it, it was obvious the compressor engine had seized. From previous esperience with electrical engines I didn't have to be told it was kaput. Due to the age of the system it was not possible to get a new compressor engine for us. A work around was described, but I didn't want another failure at an awkward (hot) time in the future. At 11:30 Friday Matt (owner/salesman) was here and we went through the various systems. This would entail removal of not only the outside condenser, but all the furnace system in the garage. Along the way, the water heater was observed blistering. Not yet failing, but it was obvious that it would soon fail. Love's had a water heater special that expired before our a/c unit went out, but Matt included his price reduction on the water heater in our total package. Monday 8:30 am 3 techs presented and began work. Did I previously mention it was hot? The water heater was done first to minimize inconvenience of no water, while simultaneously removing all the old HVAC inside and out. 4:30 pm and the project was completed. The new heating system had to be calibrated. This meant running it on a hot day. Two tasks accomplished: calibration and removal of the smell of a new heating system burning off. When the new a/c kicked in our house began cooling much faster than previously. Joel, Jose, and Jim could not have been nicer or more professional They cleaned and except for new appliances you couldn't tell they were there. Happy? Absolutely. Recommend them to others? No question, yes. Utilize them in the future? Yes. But hopefully not for another 32 years. read more

We met Matthew at the Modesto Home Improvement show. There were not too many vendors at the show so we had some time to talk. Matthew was extremely knowledgeable and was very thorough in explaining everything we needed to know about their systems. We setup an appointment with him for the following week. He was right on time and was quick to inspect our current systems (yes, two systems due to the house size). After going thru various options, we selected a more efficient system with enough capacity to cover the home with Zones, thereby going from two systems down to one larger system. We also opted to replace two water heaters at the same time so all of our home systems would be new again. He explained all the options for Cash, Financing, CC, etc. The install time and date were set and the crew called about 30 minutes prior to inform us they were going to arrive shortly. The crew we had was amazing! Jose, Juan, Alan, Ben, Nick, and David were all extremely friendly, professional, and masters of their trade. They take great care in covering the floors, stairs, and all access. Since our system was located in the attic, they took care of covering the areas surrounding the access door. They completed the install of everything in one day. The quality of workmanship is second to none. It far exceeded the original system installed when the home was built. Since I have everything in our home automated, including the HVAC system, they integrated with my existing Thermostats. We were able to fire up the system and the cooling time in the house was at least twice as quick as it was before. The zoning worked perfectly and switched as needed to balance our cooling in the home. I will highly recommend Love's Air to anyone looking to replace their system to maximize efficiency, lower operating costs, and have the peace of mind knowing that the job was done right at the highest level of expertise. After more than 20 years with our old AC unit and several years of patching it up with fuse replacements, freon refills, and other quick fixes we finally decided it was time for a change. Our aging system just couldn't keep up anymore, especially with freon being phased out. That's when we received a flyer from Love Air, and we're so glad we gave them a call. He walked us through all the modern, energy-efficient options available and shared his personal experience including the unit he installed for his own parents. His insight and honesty made our decision easy, and we went with the same brand he recommended. With triple-digit temperatures looming before Memorial Day, Love Air moved fast. Within days, a full crew arrived early in the morning, ready to work in the Central Valley heat. Two box trucks packed with supplies and a fleet of vehicles rolled up, and the team got right to it. When our AC went out during the last stretch of summer, we weren't sure what we were going to do. We researched a number of companies but ended up choosing Loves - boy are we glad we did! Carl came out and gave us an estimate of what exactly our home would need to switch over from a traditional ac/furnace to a heat pump system. He offered thoughtful insight and made sure to spec out the system to meet our homes needs. Carl was very transparent about the costs and included services. We were fortunate enough to be able to take advantage of their limited promotional pricing and were able to get additional needed work done at a reasonable price! After getting the costs squared away (they offer financing too, by the way!), we were scheduled to have the system installed the next day. Xavier and his team took care of us during the installation. They arrived promptly and were extremely courteous and mindful of their presence at the job site. Xavier outlined the work that would be done and swiftly got to it. They laid down tarps where they worked inside and also took the time to cover the clothes in our closet so that they would remain clean while they worked in and around the attic access to replace the furnace. They completed a two day job in one day, without compromising quality or service. Once they installed everything properly, we were given a run down of the new equipment and were able to ask questions as needed. These guys are great! From the initial phone call, to the completion of the work. I was in need of a standard 40 gallon water heater, interviewing various local vendors. The majority of the vendors wanted an "arm" and a "leg"... and that's when I met Matt from Loves Heating & Air. It was like talking to family from the gate! He was not only very pleasant to talk to over the phone, he treated my small little water heater job with great significance. As if it were his house The majority of the local clowns blew me off, as if my water heater replacement job was of no significance - in fact, it almost seemed like they wanted to get paid extra money for the inconvenience of doing a smaller job. The experience I had with Loves Air is one of the best experiences I have had with any contractor. Norma, in the office set up my appointment with Ernie the System Engineer. He arrived on time and immediately had respect for my home by having shoe cover in hand. Ernie educated me on all my options. I was pleasantly surprised with his quote. Days earlier I had experienced sticker shock from another provider's quote. Feeling no pressure at all, Ernie sent me the detailed quote via e-mail. I contacted Ernie later that day with a "yes, let's do it". He came back that same day, filled out paperwork and put me on the schedule for the next day. Adan (the lead) showed up with his crew who consisted of David, Marco, and Anthony. They arrived on time and with shoe covers in hand. They were respectful, courteous and professional young men. They may be young but they know their job. Adan kept me informed throughout the process. All the installed equipment looked like a piece of art. After the work was completed, Adan and I did a walk-through and he explained the system and went over how the thermostat worked. Their clean-up was excellent. Steve Holman Update.. They say "If God Bring You To It He Will Bring You Through It." Through all your Prayers and Positive Thoughts, God had a plan for Steve and me.. Our Heating/Air Unit at the Cottage went out and in comes "Loves Heating & Air", Matthew French Managing Partner..His pricing along with a Free Water Heater and Re-Circular pump cemented our new found Christian Friendship.. Yesterday his fabulous Crew removed and replaced our Unit as well as Water Heater.. We were so impressed with the entire process..But I had a misguided issue with the roof patching.. While sitting in the spa..God sent 15 beautiful White Little Egerts overhead to surround me and I txed Matthew about my concern.. He immediately said "it will be handled 100% immediately".. Little did I know, that God would again step in and send the owner Tim, of Rescue Roofers, immediately in the dark to look at the roof..He explained that the Heat will lay down the shingles. I had another company come out to service my AC. The other company was here less than 15 minutes, didn't actually services anything and told me I had a leak in my Freon, it was freezing up my system and I'd have to have the whole system replaced. They said they'd send a quote. I knew my system was old and would need to be replaced in the next few years, but I decided to get a second opinion and called Loves. They came out a couple hours later. Matthew was great, right from the beginning. He ran my AC for over half an hour and said it was working fine. It was definitely not freezing over and we may be able to get a couple more years out of it. Since we knew we'd have to replace everything in the next 2-3 years probably, and with all the new tariffs we decided not to wait until prices get even higher, so we got a quote. Matthew was very thorough, going over everything. He even threw in a new water heater since ours was also pretty old. They gave us a great price. Alex, Marco, Ozzy and Jason came out the next week to install. We are very happy with everything they did. New AC, Furnace, Water Heater, Zone system. They sealed the ducting and made everything look clean and neat. The old system used to vibrate the dining room floor when it came one. We can't feel or hear when the new system comes on. Outstanding Experience with Love's Heat and Air! We recently had the pleasure of working with Love's Heat and Air, and I couldn't be more impressed with the entire experience. From the start, our salesman and estimator, Mathew French, provided a very clear and detailed explanation of what we could expect during the installation process and that the entire job would be finished in one day. Not only were they replacing both heating and air conditioner components, they were replacing a portion of the ducting and widening the intake port. His professionalism and thorough communication set a very high bar -- but remarkably, the actual installation exceeded even those expectations. today we had to have our air conditioner looked at. We went to turn it on the other day and it just had no power. We check the breaker in the garage and we checked a few other things and we couldn't figure out anything that would cause it to just not work so we called to have somebody come and look at it. Well apparently there are two breakers that go to the AC one in the garage and one in the backyard and the one in the backyard was flipped off for some reason so we didn't need anything major done but the guy Jose was really nice and he was very helpful with explaining everything that he did and he also went over their yearly service plan that they do which is really awesome it's a great deal. So even though it was kind of silly to even have to have anyone come out it was a very nice visit we got the AC on again everything is working right we're probably gonna end up signing up for the yearly service plan because it seems like a great deal $150 a year and you get to visit and they check everything clean everything changed filters all of that good stuff. So I highly recommend loves air they really do a great job room with their customer service and with your professionalism. If we ever need anything more major done I'll certainly let y'all know how that goes read more

I recently had Loves Air replace my entire HVAC system, and I can't say enough good things about the experience. My old setup was outdated and presented quite a few challenges--tight spaces, difficult access points, and structural limitations. But the Loves Air team handled it all with incredible professionalism, patience, and attention to detail. From the initial consultation to the final walkthrough, every team member was friendly, respectful, and highly knowledgeable. They took the time to assess all the issues, explain the options clearly, and develop a customized solution that fit my home perfectly. Even when unexpected complications came up, they adapted quickly and never cut corners. Didn't need to buy/replace my HVAC burner box, which Little Guy quoted me as $2900. For this reason, I'm giving them a 3 stars out of 5. The technician was fine but doesn't seem knowledgeable. Should try to figure out the least expensive option/route for the customer rather than the expensive route. He also suggested to replace my HVAC eventually that's only a 3-4 years old....
