The reviews were great and I like the fact that I was able to request a quote via the app and have most of the communication through it. The office did call me for some additional information and explained to me what the service technician would provide me. They were able to come out the next day in the morning, diagnosed the issue, call me to authorize the replacement part and had me up and running in no time. We have 2 HVAC systems in our house, one for each floor and the second floor heat pump fan stopped working on Thanksgiving Eve. Fortunately weather was mild so we didn't have to make an emergency service call and could wait a few days. So I scheduled an appointment for the following Monday, plus we had a very full house of relatives thru the weekend and didn't want to bother them. The technician rang the doorbell exactly at 10:00 Monday and quickly located the problem, a bad capacitor and relay. 30 minutes later his work was completed and the system working fine. He was very pleasant and professional and Geske is a company I would hire again. I didn't give them 5 stars because I was a little surprised how expensive the parts were and the parts warranty is only 30 days. That said, overall I am very satisfied with Geske and as previously mentioned, would hire them again when we have another HVAC issue. read more

We needed to replace our entire unit. We had gone years with it being a subpar system. Finally we decided to invest and purchase a brand new system. We had two other companies give us a quote and then called Wayne. His estimate was in the middle of the other two quotes. Don't get me wrong, it was not cheap. But, we trusted his expertise and he was very upfront about the best way to cool my house. One, we needed better attic insulation, as our was a thin paper material that many builders use. Two, we needed a larger unit for the size of our house. He gave us a quote for both and we went forward. We went through a little heat wave before our installation weekend. We had Geske replace our A/C condenser a few years ago. On the first warm day of this year, the A/C did not turn over. Wayne came out, looked at the furnace and a/c for about 10 minutes and proclaimed that we need a new furnace. Had a friend who is a HVAC specialist come over. He took much longer as the furnace safety valve needed replacement, but there also were shorts in the system. Wayne wanted us to replace a furnace when the main problem was a couple of shorts in the A/C. Five grand for unit that just needed a new $200 dollar part. Do not Trust! read more

Called Geske heating and air on 1-2-2019. Before I get started. I recently had my AC&heating system replaced with a high efficiency system. The system is only 3.5 yrs old. Got screwed by a commercial name company. So when the unit went out I was mad. Didn't want to call out the original installing company because I felt they ripped me off. So I decided to try a mom and pop business. When tech/owner of Geske shows up to look and my broken unit. He did fix my screw up on the thermostat. This is the one star on this rating. The tech looked at the unit. Since the unit is only 3.5 yrs old it has a check engine light. Flashing code57. The tech did some part inspecting in which he removed one of the pressure switches and said it was bad and also said he replaced it. So after a fuse,new pressure switch,and thermostat the system ran for about 24hrs. Came home from work a 12a to a cold house that Friday. I was furious so I went to go look at the unit and was looking at the switch he said was replaced and noticed not only did he strip out the bolt holding the switch. I don't believe he replaced anything! Called out the original company that Monday had them come out. Tech noticed the stripped bolt and moisture in a line leading to a water catcher. I ask the tech if the switch looks like it was replaced. I then ask him if he carries pressure switches on his truck he said no to many to carry. I then asked what's the chance of a mom and pop company having a switch for a 3.5 yr old system on his truck. He chuckled and said not likely. He tried to locate the part and couldn't find it. This big commercial company couldn't find the part but mom and pop place can? Wow! Also I've worked on cars for twenty yrs and over the years I've noticed all manufactured parts inspected by the manufacturer have a paint dot on them. Both switches are dated a few months apart and have identical paint dots on them. Dude needs to learn not everyone is an idiot! Won't be around long if he doesn't change his philosophy. Got me for $220 for a simple moisture in a catcher and line. I will stick to commercial companies vs mom and pop. read more

I was told by a different company that my air conditioner had a leak the last time they we're doing some work on my heating unit. They didn't have time to fix it but I could make an appointment at some other time. When I got around to setting up an appointment I thought I'd try a different company. I had seen a work truck with a sign on the door saying Geske Heating and air, so I looked them up via the internet, called them up and they gave me an appointment for the next day. The owner of the company came out the next day checked things out and told me he could come back the next day to fix it. Next day he showed up right on time. He checked the system and could not find it was leaking at all but the system was low on freon so he filled the system and everything worked fine. He could have said that there was a leak and charged me for fixing a leak that wasn't even there but he was honest. Overall I rate this company 5 stars. Wayne showed up with the new equipment as scheduled. The work was done cleanly and efficiently, and installed with all new accessories and attachments as well. I now have a new Rheem system with a self contained diagnostic meter with an led readout and easy controls for temperature adjustment, as well as a vacation mode to save some energy.
