My partner and I ate here on Thursday night. Since there were only two of us, we didn't have to wait for a table and were seated right away. Our waitress was really nice and attentive. She was able to provide me with good advice on what to order as I was trying to decide between the crispy cauliflower banh mi and the garden burger. Based on her advice, I went with the banh mi and was not disappointed. It was delicious! It was flavorful and filling. Their french fries are also really good. If you have a chance, I recommend ordering the cauliflower banh mi as it's a special menu item and won't be around forever. We also ordered a flight of beers as there were quite a few that we were interested in. Our favorites were the 11th Anniversary and the Blue Razz sour. After a while the manager came over and explained they had a fire in the kitchen and our orders were delayed. It took awhile but our food finally came. Through this, the waitstaff offered us free drinks several times and apologized profusely. They continued to check on us while we waited. When the food came out, it was delicious. This was a tough situation that the waitress and manager had no control over, yet they continued to be friendly and helpful. After we finished the meal, the manager picked up our tab. This was our favorite spot during our four day trip in Sunriver! There's plenty of TVs to watch sports and the food and beer is phenomenal. The service... spectacular! Ellis B. was our server and he was extremely attentive. He brought us some beers to try and made food recommendations as well. I had the fish and chips and my girlfriend had the Nashville chicken sandwich. We loved our food! The breading on the fish and chips was so light and crispy. The sandwich was full of flavor. It was raining (in July) and I felt like a Spanish coffee. Well, the bartender made it happen--kudos. But I had asked for a good backup cocktail, which the fresh margarita became. One of the best margaritas I've ever had. Not sweet, fresh fruit flavor, perfectly balanced. Keep this bartender! For food, the General Tso's cauliflower is a must! We got here just before the lunch rush on the Friday of Labor Day weekend. Seemed like it was mostly families with kids at the time but it filled up very quickly behind us. The space is open, tall ceilings but a sort of moody, cozy vibe at the same time. Our server was very nice and given how busy it ended up being, I would say service was neither slow nor particularly fast, which was fine with us as we were catching up as a group. We stared with the elote queso dip (not sure if that's the actual name but that's what it is) and deep fried green beans. I don't think the dip had a truly elote/street corn flavor but it was good and a nice twist on your basic queso. The green beans were done just right, breading wasn't too much. My husband ordered the mac and cheese with chicken and I got the turkey dip without tomato. Both were huge servings. The turkey slices were very thick and so was the hoagie. I enjoyed it, lots of flavor and the au jus makes you think a bit of a thanksgiving turkey dinner. No complaints here. If you don't like the thick cut "carving board" style of deli meat, then you might not love it. Very filling. Husband said he enjoyed the mac but the bite I had wasn't overwhelming in either a good or a bad way. The serving of chicken on top was impressive though. read more

Stayed at the Sunriver resort for Presidents Day weekend and ate here 3 times because we didn't want to drive to Bend and drink then drive home. It can get really busy at dinner time so we would put our names down at around 730pm, head back to the cabin to soak in the hot tub after a long day of snowboarding and our table would be ready around 830pm. They text you and you have 10 minutes to show up - not bad! We tried all of the beers they had at the time. All of them are really good to be honest. I love chocolatey things so Cocoa Cow was one of my favorites. For something light and refreshing, I would recommend the Emotional Support. But it's honestly too hard to choose so I got the flight of 6 anyways. Food is normal pub food, wings, burgers and the usual. Portions are HUGE. For a couple, you would only need an appetizer and an entree. What to get.....We really like the wings! They were so amazing (get all sauces on the side!) and we tried to order them every night but they actually didn't have them on the last two days which was a huge disappointment. The brussel sprouts were out of this world and we also really enjoyed the Pub Burger and Poutine. Few words about the poutine...they melt the curds down so you won't get any squeak to your cheese. Other than the curds, this dish actually has nothing to do with Poutine as it lacked gravy. Have you ever heard of poutine without gravy? But overlooking these details the dish was delicious. The fried cauliflower and tacos were decent if you are feeling it. What not to get.... Don't get the nachos! They were bland and disappointing. The queso sauce was watery and tasteless. The chips had no salt or zest. The salsa was completely tasteless ... No salt, lime or anything. We didn't touch them at all. The front of house staff is not good, seemed pretty disengaged. She got angry because I wanted a different table. The table was awkward right next to the kitchen and patio door with wait staff brushing by. There were plenty of other tables, I asked for one and she said "okay, but it's dirty", didn't even offer to clean it lol. So I stayed at the table she assigned me for 15 minutes getting bumped by wait staff and patrons. Nobody came to take my drink order. So I got up and left, drove to bend and had a nice meal someplace else. This place can be good if you catch it at the right moment. Best beer around and pretty good food. But it is very hit and miss with the service, I don't get the feeling it's a priority for them. I'll probably be back, but only to buy beer. read more
