Four stars for Sunriver Brewing Company out here in beautiful Sunriver where the pine trees stand tall and the beer flows like good intentions. We rolled in on a recommendation, which always feels a little like being set up on a blind date. "Trust me," they said. And you know what? The place is nice. Real nice. Warm wood, good vibe, the kind of atmosphere that makes you sit up straighter and pretend you know something about hops. Service? Solid. Friendly. Attentive. Nobody disappeared into the back never to be seen again. Always a plus. My wife ordered a Brew house salad with chicken that she described as "very yummy," which in wife-language translates to: I would order this again and tell my friends about it. That's high praise. Meanwhile, I ventured into quinoa territory. Now I'm pretty sure it was meant to be cold... but it hit the table so chilled I thought it had just come back from skiing Bachelor. A little heat on that bad boy and we might've been in business. Then there was the mac and cheese. Ah yes. The mac. It had that bold, burnt-garlic-on-top energy. A little crispy crown of cheese, which I respect. But underneath? Not much going on. It was like opening a treasure chest and finding a polite suggestion of treasure. Not very juicy. A bit of a macaroni mirage. So here we are: good service, nice setting, one winning salad, one confused quinoa, and a mac that tried its best. Middle-of-the-road food, but a pleasant ride nonetheless. Four stars. I still don't know what they're famous for but I'd go back to find out.

Sunriver Brewing company is about 2 minutes from were we were, and decided to do take out. I had the mushroom & cheese pizza which was very good and tasty with lots of mushrooms. My wife ordered the fish & chips, but said the French fries were very salty and had to put it in a colander to shake off the salt. She said the fish was okay, but she didn't finish the French fries and the fish, but said the tartar sauce was good and tasty and Chucky. The spicy chicken wing was okay, but for some it was too spicy. The Sunriver beer was very good and tasty

Great beer and friendly clientele! The heat wasn't working so we all kept our jackets and hats on but they warned us with signs before we came in. I sat at the bar solo for a Turtle In the Clouds hazy IPA. Very good! I then moved to a table with friends. The sliders were just ok. I'd come back after their renovations!

Located in the Village, this is a popular and casual brewpub with a great taplist and food options. Our server, Adam, was very attentive and friendly. Really appreciated his help! I got the Quinoa Bowl with Grilled Chicken and really enjoyed it. Very generous on the portion and the chicken was super tender. The abundance of grilled veggies really added to the bowl too.

Food -- For appetizers, we got fried avocado. So good! The best I have ever had. For dinner, I got the chicken sandwich and my husband got the bacon burger. I got fruit instead of fries and hubby got salad instead of fries. Our foot was AMAZING! Beer -- I had the Nitro Cocoa Cow Stout. Hubby had the 13th Anniversary Hazy Double IPA. We would give our beers a 10 out of 10. Service -- Our server was such a cool person and very upbeat. Ambiance -- Happy people all around! Comfy chairs, good view of shoppers out the window. We sat indoors.

This is a follow up review. A few months ago I wrote a review about the nachos and I didn't recommend them. The restaurant responded by asking me to come back, they sent me a $50 gift card. How is that for standing behind what you are cooking? Yesterday I returned and the nachos had been taken off the menu so we ordered the yummy wings, naked with the buffalo and ranch sauce on the side. We also had the pimento cheese dip and a Ruben sandwich with fries. We sat outside on the patio. The service was excellent! All the food we ordered I recommend, everything was delicious! Thank you Sunriver for inviting me back! I enjoyed everything and will definitely return!

Food came fast and it was a fun spot. Great menu and lots of fun drinks to try! Fish tasted great, could have a been a little crispier but only a minor issue :). Fried were a good texture but a little undersalted. If you're in Sunriver I highly recommend to come here.

Mac n cheese

Nice place with plenty of seating and outdoor activity area. We had some Mac n cheese and a beer. Beer and cider were good. Mac and cheese needed some seasoning and sauce, it was a little dry and plain. Plenty for two people. Good food menu.

This place had decent beers and the one appetizer we got was good. Service was nice. For a little strip mall that doesn't have too much happening, this place is pretty hopping. It exceeded my expectations with the beer so I can't be mad about that! Chips were fresh. This place is more of a restaurant/pub than a brewery feel. Overall, good experience. glad we came and checked it out.

We enjoyed our time here as a family of 5. They had a kid area for them to play in while waiting for food/drinks. The service was a little slow as we were there on a weekend. They were really busy and we had to wait over a half an hour. The brewery was large with indoor and outdoor seating. Very nice place with a large menu for beer and food. We would come back here anytime!!

Elk chili with a side cornbread muffin

A classic in the Sunriver area. Nice spacious interior with that warm, busy brewery/pub feel. Service is great, and lots of classic food options like burgers, pretzels, and more. Tried out the elk chili this time, came with a side cornbread muffin. Very tasty, hearty, flavorful, and had a bit of heat. Come hungry!

Turkey dip

Solid option for classic brewery fare. Really fun outdoor seating to soak up the sun, feast, and have a refreshing beer. Family friendly with high chairs for the kids. We had a ten minute wait to get a table, but then the lunch rush came and the place was slammed. If coming at primetime, I recommend putting your name down on arrival, and then exploring the shops in the village until your table is ready. They will send you a text when they can seat you.

Elk meatloaf

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night. The place gets busy very quickly. It's loud but the service was very friendly. There is a small kid area for kids to play at inside. We ordered the blood orange burrata as an appetizer, the elk meatloaf, and fish and chips. All the food was delicious. Despite being busy, the food came out quick. Fun place to eat with laid back vibe. Good beers and cocktails! Will come again!

Taco salad w/ chicken wrap. Loved every bite.

Once you step inside you are transported to a killer brew pub dimension. The place was moderately busy for 1:30 on a Wednesday and we were immediately greeted by the bartender. We analyzed the tap list and narrowed it down quickly to the 3 IPAs brewed by these guys. We ended up trying all 3 and overall I would give the beer an 8 out of 10. I love a Boneyard RPM or Ft. George 3-way. I have been away from Oregon Craft for about a year so I am a little off my game but I didn't leave a drop in those pint glasses. We both ordered the smash burger and fries with some jalapeño aioli sauce. The fries were maybe the best fries I've ever had. I literally put my head down and chowed through them all before realizing I had a burger too. Smash burger is true to form dressed with melted cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato. The bun had been fried in magic sauce to a crispy texture before they built the burger. We were blown away at how good it was!! We went to Sunriver Brewing on Wednesday night and think Initiative won our personal award for that day!! Highly recommend you check it out and I want to go again before I have to leave town!!
