There's nothing better than quality and consistency. A Thai restaurant is a destination to enjoy the culinary experts of a down to earth culture. The authenticity is in the work of the kitchen's staff. This is going to be my month to month Thai restaurant for visiting with friends. I ordered the pad Thai style with glass noodles. I cannot find any other local Thai restaurant that is currently serving glass noodles in this form. Almost all ingredients that are imported are extremely expensive, and since Thai restaurants are having a challenge with costs, it's a premium. My friend ordered a drunken noodle, which frankly, I should probably try some time, however, given the fact that there's not many places that makes pad Thai with glass noodles, I stick with what I know. The interior is perfect for the sit down experience, the aesthetics are pleasing, as the room is bright yellow, and I'm saying that with love. Well I was there I seen at least 10 people do carry out, so you know that's a good sign as well.

This is my go to spot but lately I've been disappointed in the amount of chicken in the pad Thai. So this time I ordered "extra" chicken, it was $5.00 and not a generous portion. It was what a regular amount should look like in a $15 pad Thai dish. Ugh.

About half of the rice they gave me and half of the pad cashew, plus a spring roll.

Did takeout tonight here and it was my first time - I was in the area and craving Thai food. I was supposed to have dinner with a friend tonight but she canceled so I wanted to treat myself to takeout. Their dinner prices are very reasonable for a chicken dish ... My pad cashew was $12, and I know others in the area are $14-16. The Thai iced tea was $4 which is on par with others in the area. I wanted a spring roll and the person on the phone asked me how many... Generally I'm eating with my fiance but tonight it was just me, so I asked if I could get an egg roll for one, which they offer! ($1.50) The food was very good although I did think it was a little spicy and I ordered mild (that may be on me, though ... I can't do much spice). The place looked small but very cute so I wouldn't mind dining in another time, as well. Based on this experience I would get take out from there again, as everything was very tasty.

Love this place. They are very generous with the protein portions and it's always delicious. I have tried the chicken satay and fried rice. They were all very good and flavorful.

Still the best pad Thai in southeast Michigan. I love how many options they have for noodle dishes, while my husband sticks with the pad thai I don't think I've gotten the same thing twice. I love their Tom kha, you can really taste the lemongrass. The location they're at now is nicer than their last, with booth or table seating available and curtains in the windows. Servers are prompt and attentive, pay at the counter after your meal on the way out though. Love sunrise and will keep them in our rotation for sure.

We dined in at this wonderful establishment. The food was excellent. We ordered crab Rangoon and spring rolls and they were delicious. The dipping sauces made them even better. We got two drunken noodles, a pad Thai and a pad kee mao. By far the best drunken noodles I ever had. I usually go with pad Thai but I was reading some reviews that talked about how amazing the drunken noodles were lately. They did not disappoint. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. And it was a very nice and clean restaurant. Not too many tables but enough for one or two large groups. Madison heights seems to be overpopulated with amazing places to eat and this spot is no exception. Definitely make your way here and I would highly recommend the drunken noodles.

Do they offer gluten free options?

I think a lot of Thai dishes are naturally gluten free- ex: if you get a Thai curry dish with rice, nothing in it should have gluten. Also I'm pretty sure pad Thai uses rice noodles which shouldn't be a problem! I'm not fully gluten free but I… Read more

And whoever mops the floors must have an irrational childhood fear of cleaning corners. Although the floors themselves are clean, each corner has a disgusting black buildup of filth. Likewise, the sinks in the bathroom. They have not been cleaned well in a very long time. Food: the beef roll pie is delicious. The marinated beef is OK but should be served cold, not room temperature. The steamed dumplings were OK too. However, the noodle dishes were oily, bland, flavorless, and just seasoned with a sweet brown sauce. Further, there is almost no meat to be found in the noodle dishes. What I had looked to be scraps. I paid three dollars extra to have the wide hand cut noodle. It was basically served raw to me. Service: this place has no concept of service. Food comes out haphazardly. First I got my entrée, then my daughter got her entree, then we got two appetizers. Sometime later, my son got his entrée, and the steamed dumplings came. Never once was an empty dish taken away, and never once was a water glass refilled. Service here is absolutely awful. Other than the beef roll pie, there isn't a single redeeming quality about this place. The food is awful, the service is terrible, all surfaces are sticky and dirty. Avoid this place at all cost.

I also LOVED the noodles; they had the best texture and length in the Metro-Detroit area. When it comes to service, there's definitely a "hands-off" approach, as you order via a QR code and a machine brings your dishes to you. However, I was personally a fan of that, and we were still checked on by workers from time to time. Food came fast and I absolutely loved the vibes and interior of the restaurant. Total plot twist. The place was pretty quiet with only a few diners, so service was steady, though a little slow at times. We ordered the veggie noodles, cucumber salad, lamb skewers, xianbing pancake, and juicy pork dumplings. Overall, the food was decent and comfortably average, but honestly, we were just excited to finally find a Szechuan-style Chinese restaurant nearby. The veggie noodles were the clear winner of the night: chewy, flavorful, and coated in a sauce that had us going back for bite after bite. I could've done without the bok choy, though, and I wish the noodles had been a little less oily. The cucumber salad leaned much sweeter than we expected and was swimming in a bit too much soy sauce for our taste. The pork dumplings were nice and juicy inside, but the wrappers were slightly too doughy. Now the lamb skewers? Absolutely delicious. Great flavor, good portion size, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The biggest disappointment, unfortunately, was the xianbing pancake. It didn't feel authentic at all. The crepe was way too thick, and the crispy crackers inside had lost all crunch and turned soggy instead. Still, the cozy vibe, solid noodles, and tasty skewers made it a worthwhile visit, especially if you're craving Szechuan flavors around Madison Heights.

Service: The staff was nice and. That said, since we were clearly first timers, I would've loved a little guidance. Even just a quick "these are popular" or "this one's pork, this one's shrimp" would have gone a long way. Ambiance: It's a corner plaza spot and nothing about the space really stood out. It was a Saturday night and there were only two other families dining in, so it felt very quiet. Not a bad thing if you want low-key, just don't go in expecting a buzzy or lively atmosphere.
