I would give more than 5 Stars if I could. My family and I drive over 30 minutes to eat at this small but mighty restaurant that delivers the BEST Thai flavors, portions and service. The hidden gems are always in a strip mall. Other than "TIGER" in big letters in the window, it could be easy to miss. When you walk in, the interior is a nice surprise - really bright and colorful. I was warned, when I ordered, that their food tends to be spicy. I went with "mild" and it was still a bit hot for my taste. I loved the yellow curry sauce and the lunch portion is perfect. I do wish the Gang Karee had more green onions and more tofu - it was almost entirely potatoes. I liked how they give you the option for fried or steamed tofu. They were doing a really brisk takeout service and I can see why. There are only a few tables inside, but a very pleasant atmosphere to enjoy your meal. read more

We absolutely love this local Thai food spot! Always friendly and prompt. They are open to all kinds of customizations and on the rare occasion something isn't right, they MAKE it right ASAP. The Pad Prik is my favorite. The peppers are nice and crisp and the brown sauce is really flavorful. Same goes for the Pad Pak. When we get the spring rolls they have a nice crunch to them, which to me is a must have. If you like fried rice, theirs is really delicious . Try them . One thing I would warn, the spice level is elevated so if you like mild you may need to ask them to go easy because, to me, the mild still has a pretty good kick. read more

Food was excellent. We had the chicken satay appetizer and the rolls. We also ordered the Bankok fried rice, masaman, and pad ped which was a different named item on the menu. Everything was great. The Gang Ped was large and so full of vegetables I ordered medium heat would probably order med-hot next time. Have been there several times for lunch. Friendly service, large variety of options, and I'm always in the mood for Thai curry. Interesting canned drinks from Thailand too! We like to eat there, although it does a brisk take away business too you might have to park behind the store as it's right on Woodward so grab a place as soon as you get off the street. read more

The ambiance is fun and bright for basically a lobby where most people order to go. The service was friendly and fast. The food is definitely authentic Thai and one of the best I've had. We ordered spring rolls that were crispy and delicious, curry pad Thai with beef which was really good but I would choose a different protein next time, and the red curry with fried todo that was amazing. We got a to go order of spring rolls, Pad Thai with tofu and medium heat, and Bangkok Fried Rice house special medium heat- both dinner sizes. I don't think I've ever had a Pad Thai with so much flavor! We agreed both dishes had an insane amount of flavor to them. The service was decently quick, the staff who helped were friendly and the interior was very cute and cozy! There's only four sit down spaces- it's a very small interior but the to-go was great. Newer place in Royal Oak MI. Just starting to go through the menu, so far so good. Easy to carry-out after work, just what I'm looking for. House special Garlic and Black Pepper was very good. Lots of pepper and garlic coming through along with sesame oil. Similar to a Kra Tiem dish you see at most Thai places except without the water chestnuts and over a bed of lettuce with lots of green onion. I would definitely get this again. Ordered Medium + and it was perfect for me- not joke on the heat. Also had the Masamun but it's not my style, still good but a different take on it for sure. I find the chicken and beef to very tender, must be the velveting technique not many places do anymore. Happy to go back and try more menu items. read more

This is a wonderful takeout Thai place. There is a small area to eat in but it's our fave to pick up. Fresh ingredients. Large portions. Delicious food. And excellent customer service. I called to place an order one evening ten minutes before closing and let them know my husband would be there in five minutes. So just a quick update since I decided to give them another try. Great looking menu but I've ordered twice and I think that may be it for me. First what I loved...potstickers! They are perfectly fried and so flavorful. And cheap! I think $6. Tom Yum! Yum is right! Really loved the broth. What I didn't love...everything else I've ordered. The curry pad Thai was gloppy and bland. They got it right on the heat level, but aside from that heat, there was no real distinguishable flavor. Bland curry is two words that should not go together. This truly didn't taste like anything. Heat. That's it. So maybe I'll return? Love the potstickers but for an actual main course, I don't think this will be a regular stop. read more

super cute, clean ambiance and very nice service! i got the drunken noodle with tofu and loved it. the ingredients seemed fresh and the portion was large. The thai iced coffee was also a delicious treat! I would recommend the spring rolls and tom yum soup as well, everything was fantastic! Solid new Thai spot on Woodward - food was delicious and friendly, on time pick up. We order the Bangkok Special Fried Rice and the Pad Thai Curry. The Pad Thai Curry was a creamy noodle dish with pad thai noodles and the classic pad thai toppings. The Bangkok Fried rice was a habachi style fried rice with peas, carrots, broccoli, onion, shrimp and chicken. The portion sizes were great, but err on the side of caution for spice levels as mild+ was even a little spicy for my taste. The only thing they need to work on is online ordering and delivery, but hopefully that will come with time. Give it a try forsure, we will be adding this to our usual Thai rotation! read more

The hot spice level was tasty but not painful! There was so much beef, unlike other places. I mean a ton! It was perfectly cooked and tender. It was a large portion packaged in a nice plastic container. Easy to eat out of. The spring rolls were good but nothing special. I'd give this place 5 stars, but it was a little pricy and the spring rolls were just OK. But the pad see ew was really great and it was easy to pick up with plenty of free parking.
