    Mango sticky rice

Had such a wonderful lunch date with my husband at this Thai restaurant. The ambiance was warm, relaxing, and perfect for catching up over a great meal. The food was excellent -- we tried the red curry and the pineapple fried rice served inside an actual pineapple, which was both beautiful and delicious. Yum! The lunch portion sizes were also very generous, so we definitely left full and satisfied. The mango sticky rice was the highlight for me and instantly brought back memories of our trip to Thailand. Every bite felt nostalgic and authentic. Definitely a spot we'll be returning to!

Always a great experience here the cozy vibes are on point! Our waitress was very nice and welcoming. All of their noodle options are great but be careful with the spicy level, when they say medium plus is hot they definitely mean it. Service was super quick as well we didn't have to wait long at all!

Saab Sis Thai provides excellent service, and there is never a long wait for food, making it the perfect place to stop by during lunch hour! The butterfly pea milk tea is beautiful and tastes just as good as it looks! The tom yum soup is the perfect level of spicy and I like to add in some shrimp for protein. The gai satay is absolute perfection! The meat is tender and the flavors of the cucumber salad and peanut sauce go so well with it!

I come here very consistently, as the wait staff is very kind and we always get seated and served quickly as well. The food is delicious and definitely a hole-in-the-wall place to stop in if you're looking for authentic Thai food. The tables are very clean and I really enjoy the vibes of the place. I will continue to come back!

Personally I wasn't a fan of this Thai restaurant. It's very pretty and has a nice atmosphere. The food was not my style of traditional Thai food that I grew up eating. Our waitstaff didn't come to us too often and it took a hour for our food to come to the table. I had to repay for parking. It's a small restaurant also, but that's common for the area. There's many things on the menu and the prices aren't bad. Portions are pretty decent too. The pad Thai was very very sweet. The sweetest I have ever tasted and I didn't like the very thin noodles. The drunken noodle was good and had a better taste. The red curry (I didn't try but the table did) was ok. The dumplings tasted like the ones I buy at the store if I'm being honest. But their dipping sauce they made was excellent. Thai coffee was also good I was told. I personally wouldn't be back here for the food as it didn't wow me.

Excellent Thai food with mediocre service, but we were so happy about the food that it's not hard to ignore the service problems. We came here on a Saturday evening without a reservation, we were told we needed to wait for 45 minutes. We waited for an hour before we got our table. It is a small restaurant space, and they have packed the tables very efficiently in this space. They seem short on manpower; many tables became available from time to time, but they needed a long time to clean them up. I feel like I haven't been to a place this busy in a while. Tom Yum soup is so good. It was spicier than I expected, and my stomach was burning afterwards (but so worth it lol). My first time trying Pad Kaprao, I liked it. The green curry was excellent! Mango with sticky rice was great too. Overall, I love this place and will be back for sure.

I absolutely love this place. Not only is the food delicious but the service is excellent. Very attentive and caring staff. I ordered the laarb tofu and the papaya salad. I love my leftovers too. Such a lovely place :)

Absolutely delicious food. I think they're one of the best Thai spots around the area. Their pad thai is the first dish that comes to mind whenever I get a craving.

Delicious food, large serving sizes, and such a cute place! Would definitely recommend and looking forward to coming back

Food was tasty. Quick in and out on a Sunday afternoon. The restaurant was beautiful. And service quick and pleasant.

Saab Sis Thai is one of my regular spots in Royal Oak. I went back and got the spring rolls and pad kaprao with beef. The spring rolls were crispy and fresh, and the sauce was solid. The pad kaprao had great flavor with good garlic and basil, but I asked for it spicy and it didn't have much heat. Still tasty, just needed more of a kick. Service was quick and everything came out hot. Always a reliable spot, just wish they'd be bolder with the spice when you ask.

Saab Sis has very friendly staff and an elegant interior. They even have a promotion for a free thai iced tea if you pay in cash! The crab rangoons were tasty, but were more so imitation crab empanadas? The drunken noodles were fantastic - perfectly cooked and spicy. The salmon curry (chef special), unfortunately fell short. The taste of the red curry was good, but there was not enough of it. The veggies and the fish itself was underseasoned and seemed to have been frozen. Overall, still a good Thai spot that is worth visiting

Ordered take-out on 4/18/26. Was it an off night? Not one but, four black hairs in my Massaman Curry and no flavor. What gives?

I liked the question "what Spicy level do you want ... (mild/medium/spicy)" for each dish. Decent sized portions and tasty food. The many and varied Pad Thai plates beckoned and we tried the omlette Pad Thai which was delicious and piping hot. Chicken Tom Yum soup and shrimp fried rice also were pleasurable. The atmosphere is really casual - the layout is more of a cafe than a formal dining room. I would definitely return and with friends.

To start, we got moo krob (deep fried pork belly) which is the Thai version of Chinese siu yook. I have to say, I like siu yook so much more - it's a lot more flavorful having been marinated with five spice and served with delicious sweet hoisin sauce for dipping. The pork here was bland and the sauce (fish sauce based) was pretty one note. For my entree, I got rad na (rice noodles with gravy, Chinese broccoli, carrots, and choice of meat - I got pork) which was one of the best I've ever had! They used fresh rice noodles and sautéed it properly to give it the "wok hei" (wok-seared flavor). The gravy was deep and flavorful and the portion size was very good. If everything else was as good as my entree, I'd give this restaurant 5 stars. Unfortunately, my mom's Kao mun gai (steamed chicken with rice and "special sauce") was awful. She asked if the dish had any spice because she can't do spicy, and the server said no, so she decided she'd try it. The chicken was way overcooked and dry, with no flavor at all. The sauce, the only thing providing flavor and moisture, was spicy so that she couldn't eat it. We asked if there was any sauce she could get instead that wasn't spicy, and they said no, but they can give us a bottle of soy sauce. So my mom used some of that, and also took some of my rad na gravy. But because the chicken was so dry and bland, it was beyond saving. My dad got the Thai basil fried rice, mild spice. It was definitely hotter than other Thai restaurants' mild, and my dad said the spice overwhelmed the other flavors. I tried some of it and it was not bad, but nothing remarkable. They told us that traditionally, it's served with the rice on the side, which was strange to me because then it's not fried rice - it's sautéed meat and veggies with rice on the side. I am curious about how some of the other dishes taste here, but it's a shame that 3/4 of the things we ordered were mediocre to downright bad. While I enjoyed my entree, I felt bad my parents didn't enjoy their food.

Far East Chinese & Thai Food is FAR OUT and double good!…read more My office ordered lunch here for me and my boss' birthday today, and not only was the restaurant easy to communicate with regarding the large order, but the food was super dope as well. I ordered the Pad See Yu, and it was stupid good. The sauce had a hint of sweetness to it, and a healthy portion of beef, shrimp, chicken and pork. I didn't feel "cheated out" on anything like many other restaurants leave you feeling on combo dishes like this (see the photo). The dumplings come in 6, and we ordered both the steamed and pan fried. I failed to procure a photo of them, but these are the old school pot stickers - thicker dough and well made. Depending upon your mood, I could suggest either the steamed or the fried, but steamed is probably my fav. The egg rolls were crunchy and were not overly oiled, which means this restaurant cares enough to change their fry oil, ensuring that the guest has a better meal, rather than trying to stretch every last drop of an oil batch. I don't remember what everyone else got, but there were no complaints from the varied dishes I DO remember - Beef & Broccoli, Shrimp Egg Foo Young, Kung Pau and more. I'll most certainly be coming to this establishment again in the near future, and couldn't recommend to you more ordering here yourself.
