My favorite spot in Bloomfield Hills! Fresh food, delicious, nice environment and the server is so kind! This is my weekly treat out. Mango salad, chicken pad Thai and coconut water. read more

We LOVE this place. Living in Lansing, we loved the Okemos location and were thrilled to hear when they were opening a second location close to our family in Detroit. As a result, this has become our family's primary get together location for celebration meals. The staff and wonderful, the food is amazing, and we've never had any issues asking for ingredient swaps due to a bell pepper allergy. Simply put, they are wonderful and you feel taken care of when dining in their intimate restaurant. We will be back, many times. read more

Thai Princess - Thai Near Me - Bloomfield Township, Michigan

The place is super nice decorated, the food is well presented but seating is tight. Something was lacking in flavour, portions are small for what they charge. The service was good, but felt I wasn't sure what I was ordering. I likely will not go back. They have halal options, verify for yourself through read more

Super happy to discover Thai Princess tonight. The decor was cute and welcoming and the food was fresh, fragrant and flavorful. We enjoyed sharing both the coconut noodles and the pineapple curry. They complimented each other very well. The service was also very good. I'd say this was a solid 4.5 stars and I definitely plan to come back and try more in the future. read more

This was my first time here and we loved it! We drive by it all the time and have heard great reviews that were surely met. We started with spring rolls and decided to get lunch combos which came with tom yum soup and a ginger salad. I chose the curry pad Thai while my mom got the green curry stew. The inside is decorated very nice and has bright colors. The waiter was quick and attentive, adding this to the list of Thai restaurants I love. read more

Although I am regularly in the area, I have never stumbled on Princess Thai. I wouldn't have found it without a friend who suggested this location as she was in the mood for Asian food. The restaurant is charming. I loved the floral décor and cute brass lighting. The menu is varied, offering both the familiar crab rangoon and spring rolls and the less familiar mango avocado salad, coconut noodles, or prew warn. I went with the mango avocado salad and pineapple curry while my friend went with the fried rice and tofu stir-fry. Of course, I also had the Thai iced tea. I don't think I saw any avocados in the salad, at least not the conventional avocado slices, but there was a good amount of crunchy, whole cashews, which I loved. The pineapple curry was fantastic. The flavorful curry had a substantial amount of seafood, shrimp, squid, and scallops. I'm glad I ordered it mild because it was already quite spicy. Incidentally, the rice comes out in fanciful shapes: stars and hearts, which makes me smile. The service was lovely. The server was friendly and professional. read more

The ambiance was lovely. My husband and I both enjoyed our meals very much. We had the lunch specials which come with soup and salad. The soup was quite good. I had the drunken noodles with tofu , and my husband had the massaging curry with seafood medley. I would definitely go back. read more

Fantastic Thai restaurant! Everything you'd want. Went there with a friend and we loved it, and a couple weeks later we went back. Yes, it's that good. Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Atmosphere 5/5 My favorites were their gang gai and their pad basil, but everything was delicious. Their decor is cozy and upscale. Super friendly service by Danny and his employees. Go check them out! read more

Ok we ordered the chicken satay which was a bit overcooked and dry. Our two entrees (mango chicken & green curry chicken) were superb. Some of the best I've had at a Thai eatery. Spice levels were spot on. Presentation was very good. I ordered the Thai lemon ice tea was not to my liking. The dining room was postage stamp sized seating maybe 25 patrons, which can be a pro or con. The seating in the bench along the wall was higher than the chair on the other side of the table. So try not to get a table against the wall. Service was a bit slow but still appropriate. Interesting decor with Thai trinkets and art work. Even with the few negatives I would go back again and would recommend to any Thai aficionado. read more

Ordered, for takeout, Lard Na, (Rad Nah) with chicken, which is described in the menu as: Sautéed flat rice noodles with Chinese broccoli and mushroom in thick gravy sauce. The employe who gave me the order was polite and the ambiance was inviting, however the food was not as described or consistent with traditional Lard Na. Received a container of soup, not thick gravy sauce, containing Chinese broccoli, mushrooms, chicken and a side of boiled noodles. I contacted the restaurant to provide feedback and was told that is how they make it. Keeping an open mind, I tried it and ended up throwing it away. read more

A friend of mine suggested we try this spot since we'd both been craving Thai food, and I'm so glad we did! The restaurant's décor was lovely--you can tell a lot of thought went into selecting each piece, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I usually stick to the classic Pad Thai with a bit of spice, and this place didn't disappoint. Since we were the only ones dining in at the time, the food came out quickly, and it was delicious and full of flavor. I'm happy we gave this place a try and found a new Thai spot to enjoy! read more

Fresh food and great taste. Family run restaurant and authentic flavors. We tried the pineapple fried rice and masaman curry.

Got cyclospora parasite from this place from a very small portioned 20$ salad................................

This is a small, cute, and casual place for Thai food. The sign for the business name is in the window, so it may be hard to see from the road. Trust your GPS, and you should get there just fine. I didn't have any trouble finding a parking spot in the lot right out front. The décor is cute (I forgot to take photos because I was yappin') and we were seated right away. We got there at 6, and the rest of the place was filled up quickly. There was only one server, so they didn't really check on us much after our food was brought out. My friend had to ask for her water to be refilled, and we could never get their attention to get me more rice. It was fine, because it helped me save more room for dessert! We each got the Tom Yum Soup--she got the vegetable and I got the tofu, then I got jealous of hers. I barely had any vegetables in mine, and I think I would've preferred the variety. The soup was a little sweet and not spicy enough for me, so the server brought over dried chili flakes, which helped. My friend got the Jungle Curry and I got the Green Curry, which were both really liked. For dessert, we got the Mango with Sticky Rice, which was delicious! The mango was nice and ripe, and the crispy bits on the sticky rice were fun. I'll definitely keep this place in mind next time I am craving Thai food in the area! read more

In town for several weeks on a business trip, looked up a local restaurant for Thai food and found Thai Princess. What a hidden gem!!! Went in for dinner on a Wednesday evening and the small dining room was almost full with only one table opened. There was only one hostess, cashier & waitress. Nevertheless, she quickly sat me down filled my water glass and handed me a menu. The stream of people picking up takeout was never ending. I ordered a a Chicken Tom Yum soup and requested it mild. The soup was delicious, it was the broth that made it great. From my main entrée, I ordered chicken Pad Thai. The portions were very generous, almost enough to share. The taste was unbelievable! I eat Thai food often, all over the world and this was fantastic. I will definitely be returning on my next visit into town. read more

This was my first time visiting this location since my usual favorite is temporarily closed. I ordered the Bangkok Chicken with brown rice, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The photos on the website look nothing like what I actually received. The portions were very small, and I was given white rice instead of the brown rice I ordered. A coworker also ordered dumplings that were basically inedible--they had a very strong fishy taste. She is allergic to fish, which made it even more concerning. Sadly, I'll continue my search for a good Thai restaurant. read more

The ambiance is so cute in this place! It's a rather small restaurant though so if you're in a wheelchair or with a larger party, things get quite cramped in there. The service is great. The food was pretty tasty as well. We started with the papaya salad, which was more sweet than spicy, so it wasn't our favorite. It had pretty hard green beans in it, which I did not care for. The peanut curry and the pad ped curries were both great. The steamed tofu was perfect and the veggies in both curries were awesome. The rice is served in cute shapes which adds to the aesthetic as well. The food did take a bit of a wait though even though the place wasn't very full. Overall, it's a nice place to stop in when you have some time and are looking for a cute place to dine. read more

Went here for lunch and the lunch specials are incredible deal! Soup, salad and entree for $11.99! Small hole in the wall place with cutest plant wall. It wasn't busy and service was quick! Tom Yum chicken soup was my favorite! I asked for medium mild and it wasn't spicy enough for me. Would get more spice next time! read more

Was craving some Thai so I stopped in this place. The reviews looked good so I wanted to see for myself. The sitting area is pretty small so I recommend if you do fancy this place please come early. The waiter was cool, wasn't really informative on the menu so I started off the fried calamari (not pictured) the butterfly tea and some wings. For those particular items you can sense right off the back the wings are not fried in-house. They are boxed pre-breaded they pretty much just nuked them and sauced them. The wings were very bland in taste and mushy. The butterfly tea tasted like sprite with a hint of lavender? Pretty weird considering I've spent some time in Thailand for travels and this isn't authentic Thai food. So I went to the entrees and ordered the crab fried rice and drunken noodles. The crab fried was Sooooooo fishy like I'm not sure if they just dumped a bucket of fish oil on it or the crab was a few days old but I didn't enjoy it. The drunken noodles were a combination of seafood ( scallops, squid and shrimp). I had more bamboo and vegetables than noodles and meat! Everything I ordered was completed bland!!!! It really tastes like boxed meals they just heated up. I won't be eating here again. After I explained about the wings to my waiter he told me I can't send them back and I have to pay for them. I didn't have a problem paying for my dishes I just wanted to order something else but he became very rude after that even stopped coming by to refill the water. Get it together guys I'm only here to help. Happy yelping Also this review isn't fake I was just there today sir at noon on 9/21/24 read more

Food was terrible the first meal wasn't right it was super fishy and watery so I told my waiter she just smiled like she couldn't understand me so I paid for both meals one that I sent back to the kitchen and I did not leave the restaurant with and I pay for my second meal that wasn't made correctly either so I just packed it up and left 0/10 read more

Very good food, always got carry out. Highlight everytime is the tum yum soup although other dishes have been very good as well.

The owner Danny was great! Cute little place with great ambiance. The food was fantastic! I got the red curry, and my partner got the thai fried rice. Since we came before 3:00, Danny also brought us out soup and salad as a part of the lunch special! The tom yum was definitely some of the best I have ever had. Highly highly recommend coming here if you love thai food :) read more

Super cute ambiance, nice music and cool plant wall. Smaller dining area, more intimate. I had to change my drink order for a to go order last minute because I didn't realize the Thai Tea had dairy. The Thai chicken wings are standard pre-battered frozen wing dings that you can get in any grocery store cheap. They charge $13 for frozen battered wing dings in sweet Thai sauce. Feels and tastes like cafeteria food prepared for hundreds of people. 0 for the wing dings. Next, the Massaman curry has great flavor but, I ordered with beef $17 and extra beef +$3... there was maybe 2 oz of thin shaved beef (Philly cheese steak style) in the curry. Very little potato and onion as well. Basically a quart of yellow curry sauce and plain white rice for $20. Very little potato, onion (which are cheap) and hardly any protein. 2 because the flavor is good. I saw a 4.6 google rating and assumed that the food would meet the rating standard for 4.6. Not true for what I ordered. Very tiny inside as well maybe too many tables but, maybe they are trying to maximize their capacity??? Idk. So fun to see this Chinese takeout remodeled into a small cute sit down restaurant. Great lunch special menu. The soup included with the lunch special is a creamy tomato based tom yum with chicken. A little garden salad with a miso like dressing. I ordered red curry, it was definitely more spicy than mild but very tasty. The service is friendly. They missed one of my orders but were able to whip it up in minutes. read more

My boyfriend and I were craving Thai after a long day of swimming and having fun on the 4th of July, and we were met with such amazing service! They were so attentive, my water glass was never empty! The food was incredible!! We got the appetizer combo and the curry wraps to start. We finished off with peanut curry and massaman curry. Everything was delicious! The portions are perfect because you'll be left with such amazing left overs for when you're craving it again the next day...or in our case when my boyfriend dived back in the second we got home! Great food and cute but small dining area. Seems to be pretty popular, I ordered online for pick up one night and waited well over the estimated wait time and they hadn't even seen the order by the time I went in for pick up. Food is delicious, service is really friend. This is where you need to eat. The soup is to die for.

Everything is always fresh and excellent tasting! With lunch entrees you get soup and salad. Best soups!

Everything! Great delicious food: appetizers were homemade instead of mass produced: chicken satay, chicken spring rolls, crab rangoons. All wonderful! 3 entrees: chicken gang gai ( my favorite- well done!); Pad Thai; Drunken Noodles. We loved every bite! Large portions and well-packaged. We will be back! read more

This is a review from Oakland County Times (Crystal A. Proxmire, July 8, 2024) Bloomfield Township, MI - Beautiful food deserves a beautiful setting, so I want to start this review of Thai Princess off giving props to the amazing decor in what otherwise would have been a very simple strip mall space. The walls are adorned with greenery, accented with golden features and upholstery that pops with dynamic dark green and white stripes and rich sunset gold pillows. It made me wish I hadn't ordered to go, though I do anticipate that I'll be back. I started with an order of Chicken Spring Rolls, which were crispy and delicious. I also tried the Satay Chicken which are seasoned chicken skewers served with peanut sauce and cucumber honey syrup. I was impressed with the quality of the chicken and the rich flavor. I ordered two main courses, saving one for the next day's lunch. First up was the Mango Delight, made with chicken. The Mango Delight is listed as a Thai Princess Specialty. This was an amazing choice that combined the savory taste of deep fried battered chicken with refreshing bites of fresh mango, all tied together with sweet and sour sauce. This may as well have been candy it was so sweet and addicting. The Rama Noodle had sauteed flat rice noodles with steamed mixed veggies in peanut sauce. This was also a great choice, with nice fresh veggies making this a solid, well-rounded meal with just a little bit of a kick to it. For desert was Homemade Coconut Ice Cream. Obviously this was delightful. Thai Princess has a variety of menu options, including Coconut Noodle, Rad Nah, Pad Thai, various Curries and Fried Rice dishes, and more specialties like Khao Soi which is crispy egg noodles served with chicken or beef in yellow coconut soup. The Thai Spicy Seafood Salad also sounds like an interesting choice. It's got shrimp, scallop, squid, and imitation crab mixed with celery, tomato, onion, and scallion in a spicy lime sauce. Thai Princess is located at 2436 Franklin Road in Bloomfield Township, facing Square Lake Road just east of Telegraph Road. Learn more and order online a read more
