3.5/5 stars Ordered this today for lunch. There are things I like and things I don't. Likes: I like the flavor for sure. The flavor reminds me of how my family's restaurant use to taste. It was very good. The price didn't seem too expensive either for a lunch portion. The lunch portion was a good size also. It was a lot. Dislikes: I had about 5 pieces of chicken in all of my food. So I don't feel like there was enough meat to enjoy with the portions of noodles. I would have wish it came with more peanuts. Overall I would order from here again, but maybe not through mobile services. It just doesn't give fresh when you order this way. I do feel when you get noodles from a Thai place you have to eat them there and not when it's settled. So I think this place is actually good and could have my business again. read more

Holy pho, this soup is amazing. I ordered the beef noodle soup to go and big bowl is right! The broth was packaged separate from the rest of the ingredients to keep the sprouts from getting soggy, which was much appreciated. Every component was delicious - the broth was savory, beef tender, and cilantro and sprouts fresh. It was also piping hot and removed the chill from my bones. The food was very delicious! Honestly, this is the BEST Restaurant I've ever been to and I've been to like thousands of restaurants but they're not on yelp. The service was amazing, our food came within like 5 minutes but there wasn't really many customers there. Not worth the money! Please go elsewhere. I spent over $14, and the portion size did not justify the price. I honestly felt ripped off. The food was bland, mushy, and tasted like a frozen microwave dinner from the grocery store. This is the first Thai restaurant I've been to that left me disappointed. After doing some research I found Lemon Grass to be a great choice for Thai food. Thank God I did because I was blown away by how everything was so brilliantly created. We had the Curry Puffs, Yellow Curry with chicken, Kra Pow with chicken and the Coconut Cake. The puffs were an amazing puff pastry masterpiece. The Yellow Curry with chicken was a sensual delight for the taste buds. The Kra POW with chicken was a warm comfort to the soul. Finally, the Coconut Cake was really a revolutionary tale of fruit meets cake. I can tell you take a lot of pride in your culinary art and there's a lot of love and respect that goes into each item. I love their pad Thai dish. But be careful of the spice level. Thai spice is next level, and Lemongrass is no exception!

I wish I can give it 5 starts. Service- very friendly. Ambiance.- small clean place. Went at 7 pm on a Friday. It was pretty busy. They pretty much tasted the same minus pad see eww was a but sweeter and drunken tiger had more vegetables They got spice level mixed up. Drunken tiger was ordered level spice med to hot but that spice level went to pad see eww. When we told the server, all we got was " I'm sorry" The food stayed hot for a long time which was good. The chicken on the tldrunk tiger was over cooked. Very dry. Had burn marks. However the chicken in the pad see eww was cooked well. The mango sticky rice was good. Don't order the boba in this place. Has a cough syrup like smell and taste. Coming from California, it's really hard to find a good thai restaurant. This is hands down the best Thai place in Metro Detroit! A few years ago we spent 3 weeks in Thailand, and since then we are always on the hunt for a great, flavorful, and authentic Thai spot. Lemongrass checks all the boxes. We drive 25 mins each way just to get takeout - it's that good! My favorite dishes to order are the curries and fried rice dishes. The Panang and Massaman curry have a rich flavor profile with a lot of depth to it. You can taste the flavors! The fried rice is full of fresh vegetables and flavor. This is the closest I've found to Thailand here in the states. If you love flavorful curries, definitely make the trip! read more

This is probably the most disappointing review I've written. I have been to the Lemon Grass many times-pre Covid and have always thought it was a great place. The chicken hot and sour soup-to die for. Today the soup was not up to standard, it was barely ok, much to my chagrin. For lunch I ordered cashew chicken hot and three piece spring rolls. The spring rolls were excellent. The cashew chicken had no spice at all-zero, and not much more flavor than that. I was so disappointed. I'm hoping today was a bad day and am willing to go back due to past experience but I am concerned one of my favs has gone down hill. read more

Surprisingly this is my first time here. I ordered a carryout on my way home from work and decided to only get a few items to see how we liked the food. It was delicious. They were very kind on the phone. It seemed like there was a small gap between lunch and dinner and their ability to prepare food, so they warned me if would be about a half hour when I called that they would be ready. That was no problem since I was about half hour before I could arrive. We got pad Thai with chicken, pad see ew with beef, and basil fried rice with chicken. The prices were pretty fair, especially for now. The portions at other places are a bit larger, but it was still plenty of food and very filling for a party of four with a tiny bit left over. The vegetables were nice a fresh, they spiced the dishes nicely (I like mild spice, but I mean the seasoning was good), the rice was fluffy, and the noodles tender. The family was very happy. I was a bit surprised they did not have shrimp chips to purchase. I like to dip those in rice or soup if I order it, but that is not a deal breaker. Looking at the menu they have some enticing appetizers I would like to try. Their dining room is open and they seemed to have a nice amount of customers at around 3:20 in the afternoon. I would definitely consider eating here in person. I am not sure if they provide soup like other restaurants or if it is an up charge, but I would love to pick this up for a carryout again for the family. I will get some of those apps next time to see how the Rangoon, spring rolls, dumplings, and satay taste. I am also curious about some of the main dishes and their Thai iced tea. We got it delivered via doordash last night, and although Google Maps said it's about a 25-minute drive from the restaurant to my boyfriend's house, the food arrived hot and fresh. Doordash was offering 35% off if you spent $50, so we ordered: -Pad Cashew, mild: this was mine and was delicious. -Red Curry, mild: Very tasty but it was a bit spicy for me (I can't handle spice). -Gang Panang, medium: this was my boyfriend's dish and he said it was great. Sy Thai is my usual go-to spot for Thai dine-in or takeout but that may change to this spot. We also got a TON of rice - like one huge container and also a smaller container. Ordering was very easy via their website but even if you select credit card payment you must go inside to pay at the register. Not a big issue. Order Inside was very clean with hand sanitizer available and two cups with clean and dirty pens. Very nice. Everyone wearing masks. It was our first time trying this place but the food was just ok. Portion size was great, we had two meals out of it but the flavor was not there, not much sauce on both noodles, we had to add some sauce at home.
