Beef Pho

I've visited several establishments in search of authentic pho, and this venue certainly delivers. The staff provides exceptional service, the ambiance is pleasant, and I highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking delicious pho.

Pork belly simmered in clay pot

My friend and I came here for dinner because it's one of his favorite restaurants in the area! The place is clean and spacious and not too expensive - can definitely get something under $15 and $10 is doable depending on your portion size. 3/5: Pho with eye round steak and tripe - the broth was flavorful but overall much too salty than I would prefer. There wasn't a lot of meat in this, sadly. Noodles aren't too bad either! 5/5: The pork belly simmered in clay pot was amazing! Super flavorful and spicy and hits the cravings all in the right places. It's super juicy and tasty! Yum! The next time I come back, I definitely will get the pork belly and try the pork chop and rice dish!

Got takeout on a whim. The spot was clean and the employees were friendly and very knowledgeable. The food was good and didn't disappoint. We will be back! Ps - they say their medium is spicy, but I beg to differ.

Pretty large restaurant inside, at the corner of a shopping plaza. Very clean inside, you seat yourself and menu is available by scanning the bar code. I got #19 regular size (they have two more sizes that is larger!) which is steak and meatball pho. The flavor was fantastic and regular size is just fine!! Overall quick and delicious lunch option! My colleague got the curry and he said it was delicious!

If you're a seafood lover definitely try the seafood curry! I had it at a friend's place for lunch and had to have to have it again. Initially you'll get a small waft of seafood smell.... It's not overwhelming though. The coconut milk curry is creamy and tastes great. You can have it just as soup or pair it with rice too.

Pho Tai, Basil Fried Rice

3.5/5, rounded to 4/5 The pho broth was very interesting, in a good way :) My roommate mentioned it was on the sweeter side and I agree. Adding the typical sriracha made it quite good. The meat was delicious and tender. The fried rice was also surprisingly (?) delicious. I guess i wasn't expecting much because most pho places do not also serve Thai food, but both the Viet and Thai sides of this place had solid food. (as of this review, lunchtime pho and Thai entrees average $8, which is insane!)

The place was empty on a Saturday night. The egg rolls were unfavorable and tasteless, although the were piping hot. The pho broth had good flavor, but the beef was not good at all. The red curry C3 was good. Not enough chicken. Maybe 2 ounces at most. They have plenty of rice to soak up the curry, which was flavorful and the right level of spice as a medium. The service was mediocre at best. Quick service, but very unwelcoming. Can get better service and equally good food though out Detroit. Won't be back.

There is better Thai restaurant than this. I am not Thai but I know the shrimp roll is not chewy and the noddle dish is so watery. The shrimp roll was a day old because the skin was chewy. The docor is very old and ugly. Worst thai restaurant in Novi to Warren area.

Pho Tai is a Great Vietnamese restaurant that happens to also service Thai food! You get to pick your choice or order both types!

It's a bit of a drive, but we still end up eating here fairly often. Good food for reasonable prices.

I get the pho Thai. The meat is sliced thinly and tastes like quality. I needed a new Vietnamese place and this one is my new favorite.

The authenticity is in the work of the kitchen's staff. This is going to be my month to month Thai restaurant for visiting with friends. I ordered the pad Thai style with glass noodles. I cannot find any other local Thai restaurant that is currently serving glass noodles in this form. Almost all ingredients that are imported are extremely expensive, and since Thai restaurants are having a challenge with costs, it's a premium. My friend ordered a drunken noodle, which frankly, I should probably try some time, however, given the fact that there's not many places that makes pad Thai with glass noodles, I stick with what I know. The interior is perfect for the sit down experience, the aesthetics are pleasing, as the room is bright yellow, and I'm saying that with love. Well I was there I seen at least 10 people do carry out, so you know that's a good sign as well.

Our food is always excellent and I like to try new things all the time. But we still have favorites. Appetizers. It's hard not to order the fried wontons, my spouse's favorite. We both enjoy the apple or papaya salad. And I'm a sucker for tum yum soup, theirs does not disappoint. Entrees we often enjoy traditionals like Pad See Ewe and Fried Rice. They are staples for a reason. But I've enjoyed trying many of Sue's recommendations. And I love a ground chicken dish she recommended served with lettuce cups and a fried egg. I wish I remembered the name. But it's one of her favorites. She will know! Be sure to ask for the Thai pickled lime and hot peppers condiment (upon request). My newest obsession is their Chicken Satay salad. It's fantastic. So fresh and delicious, not to mention gorgeous. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed. I can't tell you about dessert because we are always too full. But I'm determined to try her mango rice because I'm confident it will be amazing . If you have tried this place, it's worth a visit. You will want to go back again and again.

To start, we got moo krob (deep fried pork belly) which is the Thai version of Chinese siu yook. I have to say, I like siu yook so much more - it's a lot more flavorful having been marinated with five spice and served with delicious sweet hoisin sauce for dipping. The pork here was bland and the sauce (fish sauce based) was pretty one note. For my entree, I got rad na (rice noodles with gravy, Chinese broccoli, carrots, and choice of meat - I got pork) which was one of the best I've ever had! They used fresh rice noodles and sautéed it properly to give it the "wok hei" (wok-seared flavor). The gravy was deep and flavorful and the portion size was very good. If everything else was as good as my entree, I'd give this restaurant 5 stars. Unfortunately, my mom's Kao mun gai (steamed chicken with rice and "special sauce") was awful. She asked if the dish had any spice because she can't do spicy, and the server said no, so she decided she'd try it. The chicken was way overcooked and dry, with no flavor at all. The sauce, the only thing providing flavor and moisture, was spicy so that she couldn't eat it. We asked if there was any sauce she could get instead that wasn't spicy, and they said no, but they can give us a bottle of soy sauce. So my mom used some of that, and also took some of my rad na gravy. But because the chicken was so dry and bland, it was beyond saving. My dad got the Thai basil fried rice, mild spice. It was definitely hotter than other Thai restaurants' mild, and my dad said the spice overwhelmed the other flavors. I tried some of it and it was not bad, but nothing remarkable. They told us that traditionally, it's served with the rice on the side, which was strange to me because then it's not fried rice - it's sautéed meat and veggies with rice on the side. I am curious about how some of the other dishes taste here, but it's a shame that 3/4 of the things we ordered were mediocre to downright bad. While I enjoyed my entree, I felt bad my parents didn't enjoy their food.

The food is great, but oh man they're not playing around with the spice levels. I did get hot (not Thai hot), and it's enough to bring a bit of sweat, which I love. It's not enough to mute the flavor, but it's strong and it lingers on your lips. The spring rolls taste like coleslaw, the pad Thai has zero flavor and it smells like wet hay, and the wonton soup tasted like chicken water. I honestly can't believe how terrible it was. My MIL said the curry was good (that's why I gave 2 stars), but she asked for no spice and it was quite the opposite so she couldn't eat much.
