SP2. Thai Hot & Sour Soup
Mina M.

Hot and sour soup is still very spicy! Loving the fried rice, pad seew and pad thai. The chicken was a little dry but the flavor is just so good.

The chicken curry is amazing here ! It is always very filling and makes at least 2 good size portions! I do enjoy coming here . The service is always on point! They really do try to go out of their way to be friendly and helpful!

I am always looking for good Thai food nearby, so I was happy to try out Thai 101 to get my Thai food fix. There are a few small tables inside, so probably more of a takeout situation for most people. I met the owner and her children, and they were a so nice. I love supporting a family business! We were serving 5 people with soup, apps, a curry, a stir fry and a noodle dish. We had plenty of food and things were packed perfectly to travel well. We ordered medium, which was the perfect spice level for us, but I would get mild + if we were ordering for guests though. Everything was great and made in-house. And we will happily order there again.

The portion and ingredients were good, but the execution was off. The sauces were far too SWEET, and veg a bit soft.

Our new favorite place for thai food. I've been there couple of times already. Very friendly service, reasonable price and huge portions. It's also pretty quick. From placing an order at the counter to getting very hot boxes took about 10 minutes. It's not really a place to eat inside, they have a long counter with chairs, Sriracha sauces, napkins and hand sanitizer so you definetly could eat there but I think it's mostly takeout. Food is very good, large portion and they put a lot of protein of choice. Will definetly be back for more.

This place would fall into the category of places that I've driven by a million times but never really considered going to until my wife asked me to pick up dinner on a rainy Friday night. It is strictly a takeout place, but when it comes to Asian food, that works for me. We decided to try a variety of things that we usually like to see how they compared to our favorite places. We started with the crab cheese and the potstickers. The crab cheese was pretty good, but the potstickers were average, at best. We also had the fried rice, the peanut noodle and the Thai 101 chicken. The fried rice was average, the peanut noodle was quite good, and the chicken had a good flavor to it. It wasn't off the charts, but it was good enough, that we would certainly go back in the future

The food is great, but oh man they're not playing around with the spice levels. I did get hot (not Thai hot), and it's enough to bring a bit of sweat, which I love. It's not enough to mute the flavor, but it's strong and it lingers on your lips. I ordered shrimp, fully expecting to be screwed on the number of shrimp(a recurring theme in my life) - But there was a decent number, and when I chopped them up enough to work for the dish. Overall, a solid experience. I'll definitely be stopping by in person some day.

I don't know if they're having an off night or something, but the food was so bad no one finished their meal. The spring rolls taste like coleslaw, the pad Thai has zero flavor and it smells like wet hay, and the wonton soup tasted like chicken water. I honestly can't believe how terrible it was. My MIL said the curry was good (that's why I gave 2 stars), but she asked for no spice and it was quite the opposite so she couldn't eat much. We spent almost $90 on this takeout meal and it was so incredibly disappointing I can't justify ever eating here again.

The…read moreladies who served us were accommodating (peanut allergy) and went out of their way on a busy Sunday afternoon to explain details and comparisons on the menu. I liked the question "what Spicy level do you want ... (mild/medium/spicy)" for each dish. Decent sized portions and tasty food. The many and varied Pad Thai plates beckoned and we tried the omlette Pad Thai which was delicious and piping hot. Chicken Tom Yum soup and shrimp fried rice also were pleasurable. The atmosphere is really casual - the layout is more of a cafe than a formal dining room. I would definitely return and with friends.

I was excited to try this place based on reviews and pictures. The restaurant atmosphere is very…read morenice with cultural decor and a spacious layout. To start, we got moo krob (deep fried pork belly) which is the Thai version of Chinese siu yook. I have to say, I like siu yook so much more - it's a lot more flavorful having been marinated with five spice and served with delicious sweet hoisin sauce for dipping. The pork here was bland and the sauce (fish sauce based) was pretty one note. For my entree, I got rad na (rice noodles with gravy, Chinese broccoli, carrots, and choice of meat - I got pork) which was one of the best I've ever had! They used fresh rice noodles and sautéed it properly to give it the "wok hei" (wok-seared flavor). The gravy was deep and flavorful and the portion size was very good. If everything else was as good as my entree, I'd give this restaurant 5 stars. Unfortunately, my mom's Kao mun gai (steamed chicken with rice and "special sauce") was awful. She asked if the dish had any spice because she can't do spicy, and the server said no, so she decided she'd try it. The chicken was way overcooked and dry, with no flavor at all. The sauce, the only thing providing flavor and moisture, was spicy so that she couldn't eat it. We asked if there was any sauce she could get instead that wasn't spicy, and they said no, but they can give us a bottle of soy sauce. So my mom used some of that, and also took some of my rad na gravy. But because the chicken was so dry and bland, it was beyond saving. My dad got the Thai basil fried rice, mild spice. It was definitely hotter than other Thai restaurants' mild, and my dad said the spice overwhelmed the other flavors. I tried some of it and it was not bad, but nothing remarkable. They told us that traditionally, it's served with the rice on the side, which was strange to me because then it's not fried rice - it's sautéed meat and veggies with rice on the side. I am curious about how some of the other dishes taste here, but it's a shame that 3/4 of the things we ordered were mediocre to downright bad. While I enjoyed my entree, I felt bad my parents didn't enjoy their food.

Far East Chinese & Thai Food is FAR OUT and double good!…read more My office ordered lunch here for me and my boss' birthday today, and not only was the restaurant easy to communicate with regarding the large order, but the food was super dope as well. I ordered the Pad See Yu, and it was stupid good. The sauce had a hint of sweetness to it, and a healthy portion of beef, shrimp, chicken and pork. I didn't feel "cheated out" on anything like many other restaurants leave you feeling on combo dishes like this (see the photo). The dumplings come in 6, and we ordered both the steamed and pan fried. I failed to procure a photo of them, but these are the old school pot stickers - thicker dough and well made. Depending upon your mood, I could suggest either the steamed or the fried, but steamed is probably my fav. The egg rolls were crunchy and were not overly oiled, which means this restaurant cares enough to change their fry oil, ensuring that the guest has a better meal, rather than trying to stretch every last drop of an oil batch. I don't remember what everyone else got, but there were no complaints from the varied dishes I DO remember - Beef & Broccoli, Shrimp Egg Foo Young, Kung Pau and more. I'll most certainly be coming to this establishment again in the near future, and couldn't recommend to you more ordering here yourself.
