I loved my meal! I got the number 44 Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio. Grill pork & spring rolls vermicelli. I asked for cilantro. Everything on it was tasty. I wish there were more cucumbers. I also bought the Combination fried rice. There were about 20 shrimp in there! The seasoning was better than any fried rice Ive had and the serving size was immense. Came here on a Saturday night for a quick dinner for 3 people around 7:30pm. It was empty at first but quickly filled up within the hour when 3 more parties showed up. The place is small-- 4 small tables inside and one 2-seater outside. The inside tables can be combined for larger seating around 4 people at a table. It seems primarily like a takeout place, however. The pho came in a ceramic bowl but the dry foods came in takeout containers. Drinks are also in to-go cups. The menu is small and simple. As the basic Vietnamese fare (see pic). Thai iced tea could use a SMIDGE more condensed milk but some people prefer it not too sweet. I still appreciated it. Drank the whole thing! 3.8 out of 5 stars. For appetizer we got 2 orders of summer rolls and for the main, house special pho and house special vermicelli. Flavor-wise it was slightly blander than what I'm used to with viet food (compared to SoCal). For example, the vinegar based sauce for the vermicelli was not tangy or vinegar-y enough. And the pho soup base was only 3 out of 4 stars. The summer rolls I was happy with because they are so big!! I think it might've been missing more basil leaves but overall I'm satisfied. The peanut sauce was AMAZING and portion was large too. Peanut sauce was actually the star of the entire meal experience. I also like the portion size of the mains as well. Food: 3 (flavor), 4 (portions) Service: 5 Ambience: 4 (it clearly says Express. As expected for what it advertises as a takeout place, but wish there more seating. Don't need those game vending machines. Need more seats!). Clean, bright. I like the cushioned bench seating. If I were the owner, I would remove the gumball machine (do children use these anymore?) and remove the stuffed animal vending machines. And replace that entire wall with seating. Also there must be a better place to put the soda fridge like behind the counter so that they can put more seats. That's how you make money!!! One party almost left bc no seating and they didn't want to wait. I hope this will establishment flourishes and expands its menu. The service was very nice and kind. And they came right away out with our food. The place is small so it really describes an express restaurant. We had to wait for a family to leave in order to get seated. But that was expected. The portions they give you for the rice dishes were such a good amount! And they were able to accommodate my request of egg noodles to be substituted for the rice noodles in my pho, which I was so pleased! The menu was only a small variety, but again it's self explanatory with it being an express restaurant! I would come here again to order the rice dishes because they were delicious and good sized portions as well! read more

The beef pho is the most heavenly and incredible bowl i've ever been graced with in my life. I've been hitting lots of pho spots lately and this is the BEST by miles. Their thai tea is also very good, just sweet enough. we also had some of their appetizers and those were awesome too. The food came out pretty quick, the employees/ server were so kind and attentive and friendly. We've been here three times in two weeks already and it's almost an hour away from us! let me preface by saying their actual restaurant on 12 and Dequindre is far better but this is a good option if you're short on time. There are only 3 tables inside so this is more of a carry out spot. The menu is very limited compared to the 12 Mile location, but the pho broth is delicious! My only gripe was that the beef pho I ordered only comes with brisket and meatballs. I prefer the raw beef slices that you usually get but instead was given a (generous) portion of very tough and fatty brisket. Had they offered the beef slices I generally prefer this would have been a 9 out of 10 for me. The broth is delicious, the vegetables are fresh and plentiful, they almost had a home run with this one for me. We also ordered the spring rolls as an appetizer and they were served fresh out of the fryer. Steaming hot and delicious. I'm writing this review with a heavy heart and deep concern for the way this restaurant handled a serious food allergy situation that resulted in my best friend being rushed to the emergency room. When placing the order, I made it very clear to the cashier that I/we have a severe peanut allergy. I specifically asked about the fried rice I was ordering and was told that it was not cooked with peanuts or peanut oil. Despite that reassurance, I asked the cashier to please still notify the chef about the allergy so that extra care could be taken to avoid cross contamination. It was obvious that this message was not relayed to the chef. Less than an hour after eating, my best friend went into full anaphylactic shock. She had to be hospitalized. This wasn't a mild reaction, it was a life-threatening medical emergency. She could have died. We dine at Thai restaurants frequently and understand that peanuts are commonly used in Thai cuisine. That's why we always communicate our allergies clearly and have never had an incident like this. Why? Because other restaurants take it seriously. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. To make matters worse, when I called the restaurant to inform them of what happened, the woman who answered didn't even offer an apology. There was no concern, no compassion, no effort to understand what went wrong or to reassure us that changes would be made. This should never have happened. Staff need to be thoroughly trained on how to handle food allergies, especially when a customer has stated the severity multiple times. Cross-contamination is dangerous, and in this case, it almost cost someone their life. I hope this review serves as a wake-up call for the management and staff. Food allergies are not a preference, they are a medical condition that can have fatal consequences if not taken seriously. To say that we won't return here again is an understatement. Food is excellent and place is super clean. Love the original restaurant and this doesn't disappoint. The portions are big and very fairly priced. Had the grilled pork chop and got two huge pieces!
