This place reminded me a lot like this place in K-Town, NYC. You had a shopping area and a food court area. Letting you know, this has been a 4-year await to try Noble Fish sushi and let me say, I am beyond impressed. Upon arrival, you will order at the kiosk! I wanted to try something new, I ended up ordering Regular Nigiri Set [Tuna Roll, 1 Tuna Nigiri, 1 Squid Nigiri, 1 Mackerel Nigiri, 1 Octopus Nigiri, 1 Crab Stick Nigiri, 1 Egg Nigiri]. Additionally, I ordered Spicy Tuna Crunch Roll. The Squid Nigiri was interesting and melted in my mouth - lol. My less favorite was the Mackerel Nigiri, I felt like it has a metal and fishy taste. It's amazing cooked but I do not think I will consume it raw ever again. The fish was fresh and the sushi rice was soft and cooked to perfection. Overall, I would most def love to visit this place again with family and friends. The staff was beyond helpful when I had questions and super nice. The food is made quickly, so there is not a long wait. WARNING: In the back of the building, there is a lot of parking but you're not allowed to park on the left side, since those spaces below to the other businesses customers. Hipster Central. Got there at 6:50, and sat at the bar, assuming we could order sushi from the bartender. She informed us we would need to use the kiosk. Questionable policy, but, whatever, I figured. I relaxed and sipped my beer for a few minutes before I got up to go order on the computer. But, alas... The tablets were gone! It was 7:01, and evidently the sushi bar closes at 7. I had heard great things about Noble Fish ever since moving to the area, but never felt up to taking the 50 minute drive. After 12 years, my wife and I finally made it, only to find it is not a sushi restaurant, but rather a cafeteria. Maybe they have great fish. We'll never know, 'cause we won't be back. read more

The success of White Wolf expanded into a space next door that contains an Asian market, a sushi bar, and a coffee bar. Seating is extremely limited. The sushi bar only has five seats. I went on a weekday, ahead of traditional lunch time, and it was packed. The wait for made to order sushi was already 40 minutes. I had hoped to order a latte, but they only had one person working and she ignored me. I settled for premade sushi to go and it was very good. Tuna was fresh and high quality. The premade sushi was also going fast and variety was very limited. It seems they are understaffed to handle the amount of business they have. read more

I stopped by just to explore the marketplace and see the sushi bar! Got pleasantly surprised by the selection of food they have, the coffee shop, and a small cute section that has decent amount of Japanese grocery items. The place was bustling with lots of People dining in and just browsing buying from the store. We ended up buying some condiments like chilly oil and some snacks from the store. The items are priced slightly expensive compared to other Asian stores that sell the same stuff. Would love to be back again to dine at the Sushi Bar. Glad to learn that they take last order by 6:30pm for dine in. This helps to plan our dinner time better. read more

Sushi is incredibly fresh and cheapest in town. If you're around here, it's a must try

This is one of my absolute favorite sushi spots! The rolls are gigantic and fresh and it's such a fun and unique place to eat. (Everything at the pastry shop is also SUPER delicious) read more

I bought two types of carry-away sushi, Spicy Salmon and the Michigan roll. It's a great deal for fresh sushi. The variety is quite large. The market was fairly easy to navigate and I was in and out in under 10 mins. I should have grabbed more soy sauce, but that is on me. The pack comes with a small packet of soy, Wasabi, and a pile of ginger. The rolls were tasty and worth every penny. read more

Fish was super fresh here. My only complaint was a tad bit too much rice. Also I overheard an angry customer griping that that they stopped taking orders 20 minutes before their posted closing time, which I thought was weird too. The dine-in seating is pretty limited to the bar and counter high top. It looks like most people pick up their orders and leave. While the fish was fresh yummy, I do wish they had a bit more variety. Parking is in the back, the lot looked full but I was lucky to find a spot or two open. Ambiance: you basically place your order at the kiosk. And they call your phone number when it's ready to pick up. Pretty simple. Connected to a grocery store you can pick up other side dishes or items from the store to accompany your meal. read more

I love the sushi so much but I'm worried with the expansion they may be losing the original plot. The sushi is always super fresh & amazing but I fear that isn't all it takes to receive 5 stars for a business. I recently scheduled a pick up order on door dash to be picked up at 6:05pm (the time was very clearly shown on the app) and when I went at 6pm, an employee said my order was scheduled for 7:30pm and that they couldn't make it sooner so I should cancel the order or wait. (I showed her the time stamps & receipt on my app & she brushed me off lol) I watched this same employee tell other people that they would have to wait over an hour for their carry out orders. I ended up leaving & coming back at 6:50pm prior to walking over to trivia next door. Another employee helped me & my order was ready to go on their shelf. Nobody called me & I received no updates via the DoorDash app. (It just kept saying my order was ready at 6:05pm & it definitely wasn't). I am glad I decided to not cancel my order but it seems like they obviously have some kinks to work out w/ service regarding their increasing popularity. They should not be taking scheduled door dash orders if they can't complete them in time & should maybe prioritize accommodating their in person customers first. I will definitely be back for the sushi but hoping for a better system with next visit. read more

Visited Noble Village today for the first time. I tried the spicy tuna and Philadelphia rolls. They were fantastic, i especially liked the spicy tuna roll. The price was good and they came out fast. Also tried a Sakura crepe cake and a matcha from the white wolf. Wandered the store as well while waiting for my food. Lots of Asian market staples and the fresh fish looked great. Will have to come back next time i want to make my own sushi. read more

I was in Troy for 1 night for a work conference, and wanted a casual takeout spot. This place was perfect because there's also an Asian market to walk around! There's a very small produce section, frozen section, snack aisle, noodles, seasonings...a good amount of variety for a small store! There's an Asian coffee/bakery stand, where I got a purple yam cream cake - it was very good but a little pricier than I expected (I think $6.50ish). From the Noble Fish stand, there's a few tables and an iPad to order takeout. I got the chirashi bowl, which is fairly priced at $18, the spicy tuna crunch roll, which had a great amount of tuna in it, and the yellowtail + onion roll. I will definitely come back here when I'm in the area! read more

Noble Fish did the formerly impossible and made a sushi fan out of me and now this is our go to spot for it. Love the convenience + prices of the pre-made (yet very fresh) rolls because we like to grab & go, but there's the option of ordering specific menu items too. The expansion with White Wolf Japanese Patisserie added a fair amount of seating (and the pastries look lovely). There's also an attached market with produce and international items that's fun to poke through. Appreciate how quick and easy it is to get in and out, and the staff is pleasant. read more

The best sushi and very clean and organized store. Very impressive how they've been able to keep this high standard for so long

I decided to treat myself to sushi at Noble village last Saturday and everything was fresh and delicious. It's actually better with their new kiosk where you may place your sushi order and add extras if you'd like. You should also check out their bakery area. I'd highly recommend checking them out if you're in the mood for high quality sushi. There's also a dine in area in the store. read more

My go-to spot for quick, 5/5 sushi at a fair price. Service is fast, and the sushi is consistently fresh. I usually order the spicy salmon, spicy shrimp, and miso soup. Never disappoints! They've been under renovation for a few months but are still open. Seating is limited, though there's enough for a quick bite. There's also a cute little asian market inside. Highly recommend if you're in the area. read more

Highly recommend! They're doing renovation right now (Noble is merging with White Wolf) but they are open! They have a great variety of foods and drinks for such a small store! They have a cute little cafe that you can get different drinks from and they made us a little design! The employees have always been very kind and fast with their service. If you like Asian foods and unique bakeries, I recommend! read more

Err..Which grocery store u been to has a tip jar and ask for tips on the checkout screen? Yea me neither. What kind of business practice is this. I guess they need money for renovations, because it looks nicer than before. Maybe they change owner, because Nobel fish sushi is supposed to be similar to One World market, but it is not. They did something to my rice bowl that I am very thirsty afterwards. Also no soy sauce packet in any of my orders. read more

We got takeout since the space is currently being renovated and seating is pretty limited. This was definitely the move! We also ordered ahead of time, something I would recommend doing since it made picking up our order really easy. The person at the register was very fast and efficient. The food was great and reasonably priced. The fish was fresh and high quality. The rice could use a touch more seasoning for me personally, but the rolls tasted great nonetheless. This will definitely be my go-to sushi place in Michigan. Also, I love the little cafe and market attached to the restaurant. It's great for those in need of Japanese essentials. read more

I've only ever heard things about this place from friends and they were right! With the current expansion there wasn't any seating anymore, but I'm so excited for it! We ordered the Smelt Roe Nigiri, Salmon Skin Roll, Spicy California Roll, Tropical roll, and Saba Barrera Sushi with eel sauce. The sushi was FILLED to the brim and they did not skip out on the ginger. The sushi was so yummy and my favorite was the Salmon Skin Roll which had a great crunch. The eel sauce added so much flavor as well. I personally did not like the Saba Barrera Sushi which was mackerel but my boyfriend did. I would definitely come again to try their other options. read more

Been here many times and each time it's a hit. My kids love this place. We've gotten take out and dined in many, many times as it's our go to sushi place. The staff are friendly and food is prepared in an efficient manner that we don't have crying kids complaining they are hungry. We love the Michigan roll, and the tuna or salmon rolls with jalapeño. Miso soup is flavorful has seaweed in it and tofu, which the kids like. Another hit is the seaweed salad. I always like the spicy tuna hand roll, which has nice chunks of fish in it. Nothing has the chopped up fish, cream cheese, or imitation crab that proliferates other sushi restaurants. Here it's pure and simple with bright, fresh flavors. They take their craft seriously and it shows in the simplicity of their dishes. The kids like to pick out a special treat from the market attached as their dessert. We like the different drink choices and of course noshing on what the kids picked. Overall, it's a family friendly place if your kids like sushi and can't wait to see how they are updating the space for more seating. read more

First time at Noble Fish and I left feeling a bit mixed. Walking in, I was immediately confused--no clear signs or instructions on how to order. I was waiting on a friend and actually considered leaving to go to Kyotos instead. Once my buddy arrived, we tried to figure it out and realized you have to order fast food style using one of the two iPads. When I asked the girl behind the counter, she confirmed that was the only way to order. I placed my order for a sushi roll and some sushi, selected "for here," but everything came packed up to go. Honestly, it felt like a waste of plastic for a dine-in order. I'm not someone who's overly eco-conscious, but it just seemed unnecessary. Now, to be fair--the sushi was excellent. Really fresh and flavorful. But the customer service felt cold and minimal, which took away from the overall experience. If you're just looking for solid sushi and don't care much about the atmosphere or service, it might still be worth a visit. read more

Noble Fish is serving some of the best mid priced sushi in the city. The quality of the fish and flavor of the rolls is fantastic. The fatty fish melts in your mouth and the rolls are all very well balanced. The restaurant is located in a small but fun Japanese supermarket that is great for perusing while awaiting your order. It has plenty of knick knacks, snacks, and Japanese novelty foods. I cannot recommend this sushi enough! read more

I've been to noble fish twice now, and after not loving it the first time, I can safely say I just didn't order the right thing. When I returned last week, I loooooved what I got. Everything was fresh and flavorful, and the process of ordering online was simple and easy to pick up. The restaurant has a cute market inside as well that I love to browse through. From a small hole-in-the-wall spot to a local legend, Noble Fish has truly come a long way. This place consistently serves up the best sushi in town--hands down. Whether you're looking at price, quality, or variety, they hit all the marks. Everything is fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and reasonably priced. If you haven't been yet, now's the time to change that. Noble Fish is a hidden gem that more than lives up to the hype. Ordering ahead is highly recommended, as it can get very busy--especially during peak hours. Just a heads-up: if they receive too many online orders, they'll temporarily shut down the site to catch up. Not to worry, though--there's a great selection of grab-and-go items available in-store if you're in a rush or missed the online window. Either way, you're in for a treat. read more

Ordered three rolls and a chicken katsu curry. The sushi was good proportion in terms of raw fish and rice as people here mention. The curry, however, was just average. The curry itself seemed like it was made from a package and was a little dry or hardened on the surface. The breading was a bit over fried and burnt. The chicken was not moist. The sushi rolls were nice, and the fish tasted fresh. We got salmon, tuna, and assortment, which I think was called a rainbow row. Overall, it was not a bad meal, and staff were fair in terms of demeanor, but the service could have been better. It was a busy place during lunchtime and nearly all the tables were taken. This place meets expectations but does not beat it. Also have to pay for water as there are no servers but the good thing is there is no tip. read more

Like many, I've been coming here for years, back when this place was a tiny hole in the wall, and I've always been proud to see how much it's grown and expanded. Unfortunately, I've noticed some recent issues that never used to happen. Over the past few months, the to-go fridge has been consistently sparse. I understand that mid-day or peak hours can lead to lower stock, but tonight was genuinely shocking. The main fridge with prepared rolls was completely empty, and the smaller fridge that normally carries sashimi-grade salmon, tuna, masago, etc. was also totally bare. Mind you, this was at 5:00pm, before any dinner rush. When I asked about it, I was told that their fish supplier is "out of town on vacation," and when I asked when things would return to normal, the answer was essentially "I'm not sure... he'll be gone for a while." I was also told they don't currently have enough staff to prepare sushi and fish for the to-go area. What's confusing is that I was then told I could still order sushi from the bar - which raises the question: how can sushi be available for orders, but not for the market side of the business? This has always been both a restaurant and a sushi market, and that balance seems to be missing right now. I truly want to continue supporting this place, but the lack of availability and unclear answers are disappointing, especially given how consistent and reliable it used to be. read more

Amazing sushi. Zero ambiance. What was once beautiful and special is now cold, generic and disappointing. I have been visiting Noble Fish since the 1980s. It was a special place with a hidden nook sushi bar. The walls, as recently as a few years ago, were covered in customer anime drawings. The place was decorated with lots of colorful noren to separate spaces. Green tea was free and served hot in tiny cups. Servers brought you sushi on traditional wooden sushi trays, and you ate off of glazed rectangular ceramic dishes. It felt like you had teleported to a traditional sushi bar in Japan. Today, since the recent renovations, all of that is gone. You order from an electronic kiosk, and there are no tables. You pick up your order in a plastic box from a fast food counter, even when ordering "for here". They do not serve hot green tea at all, drinks are bottled. There is nearly zero human interaction. No decoration at all--no noren, or any other traditional Japanese ambience. It feels like a cold, empty, soulless hipster food court in a warehouse district. Is the sushi still the best in Metro Detroit? Yes. Is it still affordable? Yes. Will I be back? Maybe. The jury is still out. But it will definitely be carryout, since there is no reason to eat inside. I don't think I can face those cold, empty spaces and the trash bin overflowing with plastic takeout boxes again. read more
