Wowww. So good. Still thinking about the food two days later. The crispy rice with salmon was actually to die for. I will be back to try more rolls. The sushi was great. Edamame was great. The crab Rangoon's were very yummy. They have bottled beer among other alcoholic beverages. (Wine, sake, etc.) Happy hour specials during the week which I am dying to try.
Overall I was underwhelmed. Much better sushi places around town. This was a pick up order via UberEats. Have ordered from here before but will not in the future. The good: not too much rice on the rolls. Some places overdo the rice and skimp on the fillings. Miso does not and that is a plus! The bad: barely any sauce on the "Favorite Roll"; fish was not as fresh tasting as it could have been. And the house salad was limp and brown around the edges of the lettuce. Not fresh at all. Didn't even bother to taste it. Salad went directly into the trash!! They should be embarrassed to serve it!
3.5 but rounded up to 4 for friendly service. The spicy garlic edamame is fantastic, but the miso ramen left a lot to be desired. It was fine but lacking flavor and didn't have the option to add more veggies and stuff like other ramen places do. They have a pretty large sushi selection that looked good but we didn't try any.
I met a friend here for a late lunch. She suggested this restaurant, partly because her friend's daughter works here. (We saw her close to when we were leaving.) It's in a strip mall & you wouldn't notice it if you weren't looking for it. From the outside, it looks like nothing, but it's rather nice inside. Since it was 2:00, we were the only customers dining in, although I did notice quite a few carry out orders. I ordered the bento box with salmon, as I couldn't make up my mind about what I wanted, and this had a nice variety. My friend had the chicken hibachi. We also both got the salad & miso soup. The miso soup was very good -- lots of flavor and well-balanced. And the salad, while very simple, was delicious. You really can't beat that ginger dressing! The bento box was served on a lovely plate & came with a good sized piece of salmon, onions, and broccoli with a lovely light, slightly sweet sauce. There was a scoop of rice, 3 pieces of sushi and 2 dumplings (I don't remember what they're called). It was absolutely delicious! I loved every bite. My friend got the chicken hibachi. She also really enjoyed it. I'm not on this side of town too much anymore, but I would definitely go back.
My family always order the same dish because it never disappoints and it's always consistent. Service is good and the restaurant is always clean. Sushi is fresh and in my opinion, it's the best in town. You can't go wrong with Miso House Roll and during our most recent visit we order the Sumo Roll which was delicious. Both Traditional Ramen & Miso Ramen w/ pork belly are perfect for a cold winter evening.
Great sushi and ramen spot! There are a lot of choices and their service was top notch. Would love to come back to try more of their options. The food was high quality and can out fast. We will be back!
Back when I was still working in Troy, I discovered this place because it was close to the office and I could order them through Doordash. They always had really good deals on their delivery site, so I figured I'd try them out. I came here today and finally sat down in the restaurant and I loved it. Let me tell you, I'm not a sushi connoisseur, but this sushi is really good! I've gotten a few different rolls from them and every time I loved it. The other thing, is they have fantastic lunch deals both via doordash and for dining in house. I was there during lunch hour anyway, and you can get 2 rolls and a bowl of soup for $11 and change. Or, you can get three rolls and soup for $14. How can anyone say no? Plus, the variety of rolls was really super good. I'm not going to list them all, so go check out their website. The Miso soup's always so good here too. That's usually my go to soup for most places that are Asian fare. My server was really good and even though hardly anyone was dining in, she took care of me. Having eaten at a few places around town, I'm willing to drive the 10 miles from home to get here. Why? Their on point with everything. Price and a REALLY good selection of food. I've had many dishes from here and it never disappoints. Thank you Miso for being here. I'm pleasantly surprised at how consistent you are, your price point and will be returning in the future.
I came here with some friends for dinner after seeing the good reviews. I ordered the traditional ramen which came in tonkotsu broth, served with pork belly, fish cakes, seaweed, corn (instead of black fungus), and bamboo. I appreciate the accommodation without any extra charge like other places do. The broth had pretty good flavor, but it was quite salty. The noodles had a good texture and there was a generous serving of them. The pork belly was sliced very thinly, but tasted good. I also got a shrimp tempura roll. It was pretty small (5 pieces) for over $7. The taste was standard, nothing special. The presentation was very nice though. Service was pretty good: our server was polite and friendly, and offered drink refills. Overall this was a decent meal, but it wouldn't be a first choice for me.
I have an avocado allergy, so buying sushi is often a challenge. Ordered two Philadelphia rolls from here along with another roll and some additional items, and both Philly rolls came with avocado instead of cucumber. Thankfully I caught it, but I ended up having to throw the order away. Will never order from here again, and encourage people with an allergy to look elsewhere because Miso is so careless.
This is a cute cozy delicious little place. We came for lunch and it wasn't too crowded, got sat and then waited on immediately. We ordered the shrimp tempura appetizer and crab Rangoon. My companion is an expert at crab Rangoon. She ranked it 10 out of a 10 scale. The shrimp and vegetable tempura were also very tasty. I also had the traditional ramen with pork belly and it was very tasty. I almost emptied the bowl- and it was a healthy portion. My companion got California rolls and ended up taking some home! Great spot. No alcohol. Delicious food!
It's one of the best sushi spots I've been to in a while. It's such a cute place; the sushi is high quality, and the service was excellent. I have been coming here for over 3 years now consistently. I always order something different to switch it up. Everything has been very good. Very good tasting, presentable food as well. Very polite service here as well, the staff remembers you and what your favorites are and are very friendly as well. Love miso
Needed to kill time and stopped here for a bite and a breather on a whim. It was slow but clean and the ambiance was nice. Loved that they had a veggie dumpling as an option since many places only have pork. Customer service was prompt and the food was great. I will definitely have to come back and try the sushi next time.

Legit a super solid restaurant. Was looking for a spot to try some food and noticed I have never been here before. The location was easy to find with a lot of parking. Inside was clean and very modern. Wait staff was nice, but service was slow because there was only one waitress for the restaurant. However, she did her best. Good food was served here. We ordered the gyoza, spicy shrimp ramen and steak with chicken hibachi plate. All the food was pretty good. Ginger dressing for the salad was one of the best I had. The yummy sauce was good, but I wish they had ginger sauce for the hibachi plate. Everything was filling portion wise. A big amount of food for not too bad of a price. I think it's all reasonable especially for the area. read more

Miso is a hidden gem on Big Beaver I am so glad I discovered. The restaurant has a charming atmosphere with traditional artwork, paper lantern soft lighting, and booth style seating. The menu is extensive ranging from sushi, ramen, udon, to hibachi. Our food was excellent! The Fire Cracker roll was delicious, the avocado was rich and the tempura was crunchy. Both ramen we had was very tasty broth and was filled with flavorful ingredients. Try out Miso, you won't regret it! read more

Very mid sushi. Wish I could say better things but food was just really disappointing. Service was also extremely slow even though we were the only people there. Took several minutes to even get offered a menu after getting seated. read more

My family always order the same dish because it never disappoints and it's always consistent. Service is good and the restaurant is always clean. Went on a Thursday around 2PM. Got the LUNCH SUSHI SPECIAL. 2rolls for $12 or 3 rolls for $15. Comes with soup or salad, I got both. Soup was okay temp. Wish it was hotter but didn't have to wait to cool down or blow. Lots of baby tofu cubes, green onions & seaweed. I like it Salad: fresh. And lots of ginger dressing. Yasss! Rolls were decent. I ordered the house salad, miso soup, 2 spicy crab salad rolls and and edamame. I was thinking about ordering the salmon teriyaki but decided against it since I have have much success in this dish at most Japanese sushi spots for years. It's narrow dining room but nice and simply decorated. The host/waiter was nice enough. It seems like a chilled spot, music is lulling in the background, not too loud. Food came out in less than 5 mins. The crab salad rolls are tempura style, ugh, didn't know they were tempura, so annoying since I try to avoid gluten. It would have been nice if the guy had told me when I had ordered it on site. Tasted good, though it would have been much better without the tempura for me. The edamame is still warm after the drive and perfectly cooked. The miso broth is light, not too heavily salty from the miso paste. read more
So, this restaurant is right next to the container store in a strip mall so it wasn't busy at all. But it definitely should be. The waitress was prompt and attentive, but not overbearing at all. We ordered the edamame and pork belly buns for apps. The edamame was perfectly salted. The pork buns had an amazing sauce with some cucumbers and slaw in it. For dinner, we got multiple sushi rolls- spicy tuna, Troy, flaming mountain and dragon. They were all amazing. My favorites were the flaming mountain and dragon. Definitely recommend trying some rolls. I plan on coming back for the ramen, seaweed salad and more rolls in the future! read more

I love this place! I think this is one of my go-to for Japanese food. Not for sushi/sashimi, but more for kitchen stuffs (or maybe some fusion rolls). Their menu is huge! The restaurant is located in Troy. Easy access and free parking place is always a plus. The furnitures are mostly dark colors and the lighting is more dim, giving it a nice and quiet ambiance. First time over I came for lunch and had their tofu teriyaki bento, which has rice, 6 slabs of tofu in teriyaki sauce, 3 pcs california roll, miso soup, salad, and 2 shumai. I also shared the Sweet Girl Roll (tuna, avocado, and salmon on the inside topped with yellowtail, jalapeno, and salmon roe). For the bento, the quantity of food is definitely enough to fill me up. The taste of the teriyaki sauce itself is standard, but there's something about every component of the bento working together that makes it a pleasant lunch. The roll is small but taste-wise is fresh. The jalapeno adds a nice kick. It was a nice lunch but to be honest the first time it didn't leave much impression. I like it but just ok. The second time I came back was for dinner and somehow the experience felt better than the first. I was very impressed with all the food we ordered that night. I had tempura platter that was served with salad and shared a sweet potato roll. Generous, generous portion. The tempura batter was thin and crispy. It wasn't too greasy. The dipping sauce gives a light feeling to it despite the whole thing being fried. The salad was fresh with a tangy and refreshing dressing. The sweet potato roll was indeed naturally sweet from the sweet potato but the sauce sort of balances it. It was such a satisfying dinner. Service on both visits were very nice! WOW! I am an avid sushi lover and have tried almost all of the sushi restaurants in the Royal Oak/Clawson/Troy area and Miso is hands down my favorite place. Carry out is very fast, typically never takes over 20 minutes for 4+ rolls. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant has a nice and open interior. The sushi is amazing, great flavors, sauces, freshness and overall taste is just amazing. I feel like it's definitely worth the price and is my new go to. I can't say enough great things about this restaurant!! read more
Stopped by Miso in Troy. Strip mall spot in a sea of restaurants on Big Beaver. Unassuming front. Great space inside. Oddly empty like not a soul at 12:30 during the week. Bento box was great if a bit pricey. Salmon was super fresh and a good size. $20 for lunch admittedly I had tea and a Coke too. Waiter/front person was very attentive. Miso? Mi Go!! read more

Really loved the atmosphere created inside! Traditional paintings and fun booths to sit in! The lunch special prices were reasonable, I would get there early if you can because it filled up pretty quickly around lunch time. The ramen had a wonderful broth and the pork was sliced really thinly so it melted in your mouth! Would definitely recommend trying it! read more

Have been here 3 times since they've opened. The sushi is fresh and delicious. Pricing is a bit high vs noble fish, but regular for this area. I've had the ramen once and it was just okay for me, gotta try again to see if there would be an improvement in a few weeks. The sushi and the rest of the food is what I come for. The food seems pretty high quality. I've tried the 2 apps on the menu with pictures, the pizza & rice crunch. It's really good. Definitely recommend getting. My favorite thing here is the unagi. It always comes out warm and taste really fresh. The first time I was here, there was a crowd that they didn't expect, so kitch food took forever. But sushi came out quick. Not sure if the kinks have been worked out yet, but if it's semi busy, just stick to sushi if u have limited time. read more
