For sushi, we ordered Van Dyke, Yum Yum, Christmas, and Adam. All were 5 out of 5 stars. Great flavor, seafood tasted fresh and delicious! We got the chicken teriyaki too. It was mediocre. Quite dry. I would not recommend unless you're into plain white chicken breast with teriyaki sauce on top. 1 out of 5 stars for me. The House Salad dressing is so refreshing and yummy. Sweet, tangy and gingery. Portion is great. I just wish they had more variety of greens in it. 5 out of 5 stars anyway. They do sushi very well. I'd recommend them for sushi. read more

It's the sushi rice for me. I'm cutting straight to the point. It was a bit mushy, no me gusta. Fish was fine, salmon and yellowtail were tasty but a bit thin on the rolls. I had a meeting in the area and wanted sushi for lunch. I read some reviews on Yelp and decided to give Hi Sushi a try. I ordered a crunchy roll and a California roll. I also ordered the tempura udon. There was 1 other person in the restaurant besides me so I was greeted immediately and my order taken. The sushi came out fast and I was a bit surprised by the 'crunchies' on top of my roll. The pieces were so large and not what I'm used too. All of the meat tasted like imitation. There was no flavor and just had a weird after taste to both rolls. The tempura udon was good. The broth and noodles were flavorful. The tempura veggies and shrimp were not. The shrimp were so skinny and they were tough. I peeled one because it was so tough I though the shell was still on it. The service was great and the udon was good which is why I gave 2 stars. I have never seen this movie before, now, I am getting a tidbit during my dinner, since the TV is right above our seat. The miso and small house salads came out before the rest of our food. Then the mixed salad and avocado, which is essentially the house salad with slices of avocados on top of it. The spicy crab salad with avocado and shredded radishes were good, tasty. The special California roll was nice and fresh. Even the pickled ginger was crunchy. The chicken bibimbap was piping hot. Hi Sushi is tasty, good food. They do sushi, but honestly the thing that drew me to them was their Korean food. I love to come here for a hot stone bowl bibimbap. Getting sushi at the same time is just bonus. The only thing keeping this from being a five star situation is the atmosphere. You're frequenting a small mom and pop shop, so it's not the fanciest place but I'll tell you what - some of the best Korean food I've had has been from little hole in the wall places like this. I ordered carry out on a Friday night through the yelp app and my food was promised in 20 minutes and it was ready when I walked in the door. It was 5:05 and the place was completely empty. There was a employee in the dining area who didn't even acknowledge that I was standing there and the sushi maker had to ring a bell twice for someone in the kitchen to come out and greet me. I ordered miso soup and a spicy California roll and a shrimp tempura roll. The miso soup was delicious and still decently warm by the time I returned home (about 10-15 minute ride). Unbelievable. In a horrid way. I ordered through Uber Eats an appetizer of shrimp shumai and the Sushi Set B, with 7 pieces of nigiri and 1 spicy tuna roll. Instead, I received Sushi Set A, even though I was charged for the more expensive set, which comes with a california roll. I cannot eat imitation or real crab. Also, by the time the food came (an hour later, even though I was given an estimate of 30 - 40 min), the restaurant was closed so I was stuck with 6 pieces of nigiri and an entire roll I could not eat even though I had paid for 7 pieces of nigiri and a spicy tuna roll. Whatsmore, the nigiri tasted like beginning to rot fish, was heavily drenched in lemon juice, salty, and even having paid $30 for the food, I didn't want to finish it for fear of getting sick! Lastly, the shrimp shumai are really just tiny, tiny pieces of shrimp wrapped in wontons and steamed. They are itty bitty, about the diameter of a quarter, and you get 6 for $5.95. We will definitely be back! Complimentary miso soup and ginger salad (10/10): Both are full of flavor and decent sized. They definitely don't mail it in because it's "on the house". Tofu tempura roll (9/10): My girlfriend and I were so excited when we saw a chance at some Tempura tofu. This roll is very good, and after a few trips became a 9 when they added more tempura crunch! Avocado roll (10/10): Might be my favorite avocado roll in the area. Rice and avocado both so fresh, and I appreciate that it was not falling to bits. I ordered an avocado cucumber roll, miso soup, salmon sashimi, and the Sakura roll (raw salmon and tuna). The salmon sashimi and Sakura roll did not have fresh taste and smelled fishy. This is very alarming when it comes to sushi. The miso was more bland than what I've received at other sushi restaurants, but it still hit the spot. The avocado cucumber roll was the star of my order and was fresh & tasty. This is why I'm giving 2 stars... I understand that there are many supply chain constraints right now - but perhaps do not offer raw sushi options if they cannot be fresh? I called to inform them and they said "sorry." This place just opened about 3 weeks ago! My s/o and I live in the neighborhood, drove past the place and made plans to check it out. We came on a Monday evening for dinner. The place has a casual, laid back atmosphere. Good music playing (which for me means Sinatra!). We started with the shrimp shumai, which were very small, but good! They came with ponzu sauce. We then ordered sashimi and a few rolls. Sashimi deluxe- yellowtail, salmon, tilapia, and tuna- Very fresh, great presentation We got the Warren roll, Yoshi (because they were new to us) and an Eel and cucumber. They came with miso soup and salad. Salad had a lot of dressing on it, I had to take some off. We liked all of our rolls and the owner came and brought us over some samples too! Yum! Service was 5 stars. Our waitress was kind and attentive. Price was pretty average for sushi, maybe a bit higher compared to SushiBon (our usual go-to for sushi in Warren). Our new fav sushi spot! We came here on accident really - but it was such a great mistake. First of all, they give you a ginger salad and miso soup complimentary if you are dining in. They are both delicious. My partner and I and vegan, so the rolls we get are avocado roll, fried tofu roll, and fried sweet potato roll. They are all excellent, but my personal fav has to be the fried tofu roll; the batter is so crunchy and satisfying. The waitstaff is always so sweet as well as the people preparing the food. We ordered spicy California roll, veggie roll and chicken terriayka roll. Each roll came with approximately 8 pieces. The presentation was colorful, and vegetables were fresh. Well under 30 dollars, not sure of exact cost, sorry. But most of rolls were price 6-7 dollars with a few at$11 dollars. We ordered from the specialty menu. My fiancé , who normally doesn't eat sushi , loved it. My fiancé ate it because he knows Sushi is my favorite.
