Place is small and gets busy around dinner time so you may wait a bit but it is worth it. The medium size was the perfect portion for me. I wish it came with a little bit more meat but you can't beat the price! Service was quick as soon as we got a table and our noodles were out fast too.

TLDR: This place is a decent spot to stop by, though the food has a sense of stinginess. The atmosphere of the restaurant reminded me of the many mom and pop Vietnamese restaurants I have been to. The service was fine. For my meal, I ordered the Phở Đặc Biệt (Special Pho), the Bì Cuốn (Shredded Pork Skin Rolls), and the Sầu Riêng (Durian) smoothie. The durian smoothie was the first thing to come out, and it was the best part of the meal. The smoothie was a refreshing drink that I would recommend to those who can handle the strong durian aroma and flavor. The bì cuốn left me a little disappointed. The rolls were mostly filled with vermicelli, with only a thin layer for the pork itself. This is the start of what I mean by the stinginess I mentioned earlier. Though the rolls did come with a spicy fish sauce containing đồ chua (picked radish and carrots), I could not taste the pork at all when not dipping the roll in the sauce. Sure, the rolls were meant to be dipped and eaten, but normally bì by itself is already very flavorful. These rolls were not flavorful as a result of the lack of bì. The phở has some of the same stinginess as well, even though I ordered a regular sized bowl. It did come as advertised with each individual meat mentioned on the menu (sliced beef, flank, etc.) but the portion of each individual meat was less than a spoonful. Even the singular beef ball was cut into three pieces to make it seem as if it was more. The two sprigs of thai basil that came with it and the hefty amount of bean sprouts left a poor impression. That is on the low end of thai basil restaurants usually provide, and bean sprouts are incredibly cheap to source. The broth tasted average, which did not help the dish's case. I would come back and maybe try the other dishes while ordering another smoothie, but I don't have high hopes that the quality would be much better.

Usually I start off with eating the food. However, the service at this spot is what makes it a top spot for me! The waitress knew every single item and what to recommend for us to eat. She asked us questions to make sure her recommendations were relevant to us. She made sure we enjoyed our dishes. The other waiter made sure to keep a smile on our face and ensured that we were comfortable. The pho was beyond amazing. We all Ordered different dishes and you could not go wrong! Hands down a cute and great tasting spot. The inside is a bit small but it's worth it. It has a small mom and dad feel to it and I'm all here for it!

Got takeout this time, and everything was divine. I got Bánh cuốn which is my favorite Vietnamese dish, and this is the only place I found that has it nearby. Everything is super flavorful. The meat is nice and tender and well seasoned. And everything is fresh. That is probably my favorite thing about Vietnamese cuisine, and Que Huong does it beautifully.

My first time having pho and it was delicious. Service was super fast! We were seated immediately and the food was so quick to come out. I had the vegan pho, my boyfriend has the regular beef pho, and I had a soursop smoothie. He had a durian smoothie. And for an appetizer we had the vegan rolls. Everything was great! We will definitely be returning!

Best pho place in metro Detroit. Outstanding family run Vietnamese restaurant in very small store front, but the tables turn quickly. I particularly like the #46 marinated fried quail. My wife loves the #10 Pho Tai with sliced beef and the #6 spring rolls.

Their pho broth was awesome! Not sweet, just perfect for my taste... I'll have to say it's best pho broth I had to date. If I could just drink the broth itself, I would :) The #39-Bun Bo Hue, the spicy with thick noodle was okay. The broth reminded me of the tum yum soup, had bit of sourness to it.... if I had to chose between the pho and #39, I'll go with the pho. Summer roll was decent, spring roll was good. I would also recommend #42, first time trying this and would definitely reorder this if I return. Next time, will need to try some of their rice dishes!

Yummy pho and fast service! My friend and I were in and out within an hour and I even got pho and 2 bang mi to take home - to go orders were well packed. This is my favorite place for pho - it can get very busy tho due to small seating area. There is another menu section for vegan option but I forgot to take photos of that side.

Food was so delicious, I only thought to take a photo as we were walking out the door!

WOW, WOW, WOW! Prior to Que, I was not a pho fan. And then I tried Que Huong Restaurant. Our pho was served by a man whose face appears in dictionary examples under the word "cool" and he brought the bowl accompanied with a plate piled high of very fresh mint, basil & bean sprouts. I tasted the broth as it was and my taste buds exploded. THIS was pho - rich, full bodied pho. This pho could not have been prepared by a professionally trained chef. Granny must have been back there, trained by her mama, so forth & so on. The gen-z server found a moment during the slow afternoon we were there to sit & actually continue reading a sci-fi novel from a book - not on a screen, but an actual hard cover book with paper pages... IKR?! Not a Boomer, but a Gen-Z'er! Food... servers...all very unique and food uncommonly good.

Que Huong was my go-to in high school and even in college. Their pho was the best in the area. I haven't been back for a long time (last time was definitely before COVID) but I finally stopped by with my family this past Sunday for lunch. Somehow, all 10 of us were able to fit during 11 AM. PHO DAC BIET - 13.50 They have a variety of sizes, but their default is medium. The broth was light and the only flavors I could taste was salt and MSG. I couldn't really taste the beef or beef bone in this broth and the noodles were on the soggier side. My cousin also didn't think the noodles soaked up the broth very well. I felt like the brisket and flank were pretty tough. Overall, it was very mediocre. It was definitely better in the day and I hate to give it a 3/5. I did have a lot of fond memories here over a decade ago.

This is the ABSOLUTE BEST PLACE IN METRO DETROIT to get PHO!! I'm originally from Los Angeles but have lived in the Detroit area for the last 10 years. I've tried every pho restaurant from San Diego to LA, a few different places in NYC and south Florida... and quite literally every pho restaurant in metro Detroit.... QUE HUONG is hand's down my favorite place in the world. The secret is in their broth I guess, I've never had pho broth so fragrant and delicious and packed with umami.. I've learned to also not add the bean sprouts (even though I LOVE them) because it alters the flavor of the broth. Instead, after I fill my spoon with noodle, broth and scallions, i add the bean sprout (from a separate plate) on top of my spoonful. The service is always fast and the owners are super cool and friendly. It's a small place, but it's always bustling with people. Sometimes if it's really busy, I'll share a table with a stranger, which I WOULD NEVER DO ANYWHERE ELSE!

The best Pho place in Michigan in my opinion. The food here is made with love and passion. The place is small but very cozy, it feels like you're at home enjoying your favorite warm meal. Service is quick and the staff is friendly. Definitely check out this restaurant!!

This was our first time here. We came on a Saturday evening close to 7pm. Although the place was packed with people we only waited like 5 minutes to be seated. This place is a hole in the wall, family owned restaurant. The food is authentic, delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. Service was quick and our server was great. We ordered spring rolls, the peanut sauce was too watered down to my liking. I've always had it creamy at other places and prefer it that way. My husband ordered the fried rice and I ordered rice with Korean bbq beef. Both were delicious. I will definitely come back before returning home. Please note they DO NOT take Amex cards.

The spicy broth is phenomenal. Highly recommended.

Ask the Community - Que Huong Restaurant

Please, someone/anyone with a current menu and prices?

Anyone have a current menu, the last one uploaded is 3 years old?

Do they still have Banh mi? If so, what different protein options are there?

They do have banh mi. I just had it the last time I was there. I had the grilled pork (fantastic!) but I believe they have all options on their menu available.

Are any vegetarian options available? Not finding a link for the menu. Thanks

Hi there! I eat at this place quite often and they do have vegetarian options. All you have to do is ask for it. The owner is very nice and will work with you on what you want in your food.

Fast casual…read more Ordered the bowl with Vermicelli: shredded chicken, fried tofu, fish balls, added one fried egg, mini shredded chicken bahn mi. $26.46 The bahn mi ingredients stay in place after the bun is hollowed out. There is some home sauce in the sandwich. It's ok. The vermicelli is quite different. Not loving the rolls, the Vietnamese pickles and the tofu so much, the skin of the rolls are rather soggy. The pickles are an odd texture and flavor to me. The tofu sometimes has an Indian curry seasoning to it. Overall it's not what I expected at all. It's a different riff on the vermicelli bowl, but it didn't do it for me. Ate my egg and meat and left the rest behind, mostly.

I had gotten any orders from everybody in the house and I placed the order at the register. I was very surprised at how quickly I got the order. Wow amazing! Now this was the first time I had gotten food from this place. As I grabbed the bags that were tied shut, my brain said you should check the order. But then I thought, I am the only person in the restaurant, I'm sure they got it right. Well, I was missing two of my items. I decided that the next day I had to go about a block from where the restaurant is, I'll pop in and tell them what happened. When I told the person at the counter, the question out of their mouth was, well, why didn't you come back. I told them I was not nearby and that by the time I was coming back home, they were closed. They did give me the refund on the two items, but I thought it was an odd question to ask me before never saying that they were sorry they messed up my order. Now, the food we received was delicious. The bread, the fillings, were amazing. My wife's bowl, she loved it. The egg roll rolls were perfect. My only complaint about the egg rolls, was that they don't have a sauce for them. They do have a hot sauce that is very nice. But I was looking more for a plum sauce type of thing. I would definitely go back there again, but I will check my order before I leave the building. They have a small seating area that is very well appointed. I think that most of their business is carry out.

Been wanting to try this place for many years and had time to go finally…read more I didn't hate no love it. It was more mid for me. I did enjoy the smoothie with boba. I miss have smoothies/boba drinks made this way. I did like the huge menu because there are so many choices of options. I did like the scallion lobster although it was messy to eat. The flavor reminded me that that canned chop suey I ate as a child. I felt their prices were kind of high for the area. Just my personal option. I wasn't a huge fan of the pho broth, but I didn't hate it either. I'm indifferent bout it. But my noodles were very clumped together and hard to break apart to eat them in the soup. I would have preferred more white onion and not more green in the soup. The meat choice (brisket sliced beef) was ok. The price for the bowl was reasonable. The crab pho was not worth the price. This was over priced I feel. Maybe I would give them another try and try their traditional plates. The chicken quarters looked good and so did the seafood boils. Service was kinda slow. It took about 10 minutes for someone to come to our table and greet us. We got water and then we wait a little more time for a waiter. Overall the service was not bad. Our waiter was pretty cool. Restaurant wasn't dirty but there were some flies buzzing.
