We had the chicken soup base, hot and sour, and the tomato. All of them were delicious and punchy but not over salted as many restaurant broths can be. Both the beef brisket and thin sliced beef were great and the sides were super fresh. Everything on the menu is very well priced. I would highly recommend Ten Seconds Rice Noodles and look forward to going back.

You have tables to the left and right and large long table in the middle that divide the room. Interesting concept indeed... I guess it allows the customer to have some fun and enjoy throwing different topping items into the hot broth. You can decide which items to add/omit based upon your preferences. Note, you don't have to add all the items. Our favorite broth was the Hot & Sour. The pepper salt fish fillet was good and we also enjoyed the cucumber in sauce (cucumber salad). Worth trying at least once. Next time I'm back, I'll try more items on their snack menu side and rice.

And whoever mops the floors must have an irrational childhood fear of cleaning corners. Although the floors themselves are clean, each corner has a disgusting black buildup of filth. Likewise, the sinks in the bathroom. They have not been cleaned well in a very long time. Food: the beef roll pie is delicious. The marinated beef is OK but should be served cold, not room temperature. The steamed dumplings were OK too. However, the noodle dishes were oily, bland, flavorless, and just seasoned with a sweet brown sauce. Further, there is almost no meat to be found in the noodle dishes. What I had looked to be scraps. I paid three dollars extra to have the wide hand cut noodle. It was basically served raw to me. Service: this place has no concept of service. Food comes out haphazardly. First I got my entrée, then my daughter got her entree, then we got two appetizers. Sometime later, my son got his entrée, and the steamed dumplings came. Never once was an empty dish taken away, and never once was a water glass refilled. Service here is absolutely awful. Other than the beef roll pie, there isn't a single redeeming quality about this place. The food is awful, the service is terrible, all surfaces are sticky and dirty. Avoid this place at all cost.

The birria ramen was interesting, the meat was chunked, not shredded and the broth had flavors of clove or cinnamon- was not expecting that and I did not care for it. As for the Cheeseburger buns with the mayo type sauce we all thought they were horrible. The katsu was good still - yay. I used to crave this place and tell everyone about it when it was New Age Noodles and now I have zero desire to go back since the menu change/ rebranding. Sad. RIP.

On our most recent visit, my wife and I started the meal with grandmas eggrolls and steam buns. The buns have a "rotating flavor," which was pork this time around. Both apps were enjoyable, but the steam buns could've used more pork. For our entrees, we ordered the almond boneless dunkers and the pork katsu. Both entrees came with rice, which had above average flavor and texture. The katsu was delicious, and is hands down the best dish I've had here. The dunkers were pretty sizable compared to other restaurants' ABC, but the gravy it came with had an unpleasant, metallic taste. Overall, New Age Noodles is a good restaurant. I will say, I would like to see some of the specials become permanent menu items.

This consists of pancit bihon (traditional noodle dish), chicken inasal (yes!! boneless thigh), pork bbq on a stick, rice, cucumber slices, dipping sauce and choice of drink. Fresh, hot and generous enough for me to make two meals out of it. Very clean restaurant with a nice vibe. Gentleman working the counter is personable and so welcoming. Other than fresh hot entrees you will see packaged baked goods , condiments and a few assorted gift items for sale. The food? Ahhhmaaazing. Tastes like it should and looks like it should. I know why. Lola came out with the home cooked entrees, placing the pancit and other select choices in the heated serving pans. Who is Lola you ask? Well, that is the term for Grandma in the Filipino dialect of Tagalog. Someone's Lola was back there doing what she knows from memory, traditions and simply cooking with love and joy to please whoever she is sharing her food with. Yes there were other talented hands working alongside Lola but she is the key to making the food as it should be. I have already raved to my family and friends about trying Yma Ymas. Definitely give them a try, you will NOT be disappointed. You're missing out if you don't. I am going to return and continue supporting this deserving small business. I feel my Filipino pride well represented in this establishments cuisine. This is the REAL. Maraming salamat Ymas Ymas for doing it RIGHT! I hope you are able to do more special themed late afternoon/evening events that hilite Metro Detroit Filipinos talent of ALL ages and not just vocal performers (though I would love to see and hear teen and younger vocalists). Think about those local Pinoys who are crafters, artists, poets, writers, apparel designers , stylists, hairdressers, makeup/hair artists, jewelers, etc. I would support seeing them at the same time supporting Yma Ymas and more importantly supporting our local Pinoy people.

I love the concept of having a different menu each week which I found on Facebook (I don't think there is a website).

I also LOVED the noodles; they had the best texture and length in the Metro-Detroit area. When it comes to service, there's definitely a "hands-off" approach, as you order via a QR code and a machine brings your dishes to you. However, I was personally a fan of that, and we were still checked on by workers from time to time. Food came fast and I absolutely loved the vibes and interior of the restaurant. Total plot twist. The place was pretty quiet with only a few diners, so service was steady, though a little slow at times. We ordered the veggie noodles, cucumber salad, lamb skewers, xianbing pancake, and juicy pork dumplings. Overall, the food was decent and comfortably average, but honestly, we were just excited to finally find a Szechuan-style Chinese restaurant nearby. The veggie noodles were the clear winner of the night: chewy, flavorful, and coated in a sauce that had us going back for bite after bite. I could've done without the bok choy, though, and I wish the noodles had been a little less oily. The cucumber salad leaned much sweeter than we expected and was swimming in a bit too much soy sauce for our taste. The pork dumplings were nice and juicy inside, but the wrappers were slightly too doughy. Now the lamb skewers? Absolutely delicious. Great flavor, good portion size, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The biggest disappointment, unfortunately, was the xianbing pancake. It didn't feel authentic at all. The crepe was way too thick, and the crispy crackers inside had lost all crunch and turned soggy instead. Still, the cozy vibe, solid noodles, and tasty skewers made it a worthwhile visit, especially if you're craving Szechuan flavors around Madison Heights.

Service: The staff was nice and. That said, since we were clearly first timers, I would've loved a little guidance. Even just a quick "these are popular" or "this one's pork, this one's shrimp" would have gone a long way. Ambiance: It's a corner plaza spot and nothing about the space really stood out. It was a Saturday night and there were only two other families dining in, so it felt very quiet. Not a bad thing if you want low-key, just don't go in expecting a buzzy or lively atmosphere. I'd come back for the food, but mostly knowing what to expect next time helps.
