D25. Orange Chicken

This was my first time ordering from Wong's Garden and it was amazing! The woman who took my order was very kind and my food was ready within 10 minutes. Overall a great experience and I will definitely be coming back for more in the future! I got the orange chicken lunch special and it came with the chicken, fried rice, egg roll and a fortune cookie!

We are big fans of Chinese food, but we're also really picky about it, so we tend to go back to the same places over and over. We were feeling kind of crazy today, so I googled "best Chinese food in Troy" and this place popped to the top of the list. The reviews were good, so we threw caution to the wind and decided to give it a try. We ordered a wide range of menu items so that we could get a true sense of what it was all about. The General Tso's Chicken was mentioned in many of the reviews and it definitely lived up to they hype. I also. Really liked the Crab Rangoons and the Shrimp Fried Rice. the Mongolian Beef was nice and tender, but the flavor was a little bland. The Pork Dumplings were good, but the Lo Mein was a little bland too. Some other items of note: There are several items on the menu that are listed as "hot and spicy" - they are neither of those things. They have a good COVID set up for carry out, but it confused me at first. Basically, you can't get past the entry foyer. We were definitely pleased with our first visit to Wong's , so I'm pretty confident we'll be back!

The food is okay. The service is slow. The ambiance is poor. The rolls are excellent, sweet and soft.

Best Chinese in Oakland county. The chicken is always incredible and fresh. Huge portions and crab wontons are amazing.

Food was good but don't order on Christmas Eve or you will wait over an hour after pick up time.

The spicy chili garlic seasoning added the perfect amount of spice. And they even bring out extra spice to the table, if you need more! The fresh house-made noodles were cooked perfectly. I added chicken to my bowl instead of the pork. It was tender and so flavorful. The toppings -- marinated egg, green onions, bamboo shoots, kikurage mushrooms, and sesame seeds -- all came together really well. I added soybeans to my bowl. Definitely one of the best ramen bowls I've had in Michigan. I'll be back for sure. Service was quick. And even at 4pm, the place was already packed. My belly was so happy after this meal!

Not really much of an ambiance - it's a very casual place with pretty basic decor. Everyone working there was friendly and our food was brought out to us in a reasonable amount of time. I got the classic tonkotsu ramen and it was really good! The broth was flavorful and complex, the pork was tender, and the egg perfectly jammy. Apparently they make their noodles fresh everyday. The price of a ramen bowl was on par with what I'm used to (~$20 with tax + tip) but the sushi seemed a little pricey. I will have to come back to try it.

I read in the Troy Times newspaper that Troy…read moreChamber of Congress was hosting a "Step up to the Plate" event to support the Troy School District where you could dine at 12 local restaurants and get 20% off your bill on April 12th to April 17th. Central Park Deli was the first restaurant on the list to participate. The article said mention the ad from Troy Times or Facebook to get the 20% off your bill. Afterwards, save your receipt to turn into the Troy school of your choice. The school that collects the most money in receipts will win $1,000 cash prize. Unfortunately the employees said no, we aren't participating in that and other customers mention this and we won't honor the discount. I showed them the FB announcement where their Deli was clearly listed and they still said No. ??? This made me frustrated. My total for a wrap, cauliflower bites, and a drink was $22. No discount. False advertising and unpleasant customer service. I posted the Facebook announcement of their restaurant listed below in my pictures. On the positive side, the deli is very clean and food was delicious. Their menu is extensive with many choices of wraps, salads, sandwiches and soup. I appreciate you can customize your wrap with a gluten-free wrap and not many delis in the area have that option.

I very much enjoyed the sandwich but the value at $17 is a little much - the height was perfect but felt the overall size was a bit lacking. Also - depending on your preference, I would probably order extra coleslaw if I ordered this sandwich again, the ratio of beef to slaw was a bit lacking. The cream of broccoli was a nice accompaniment to the sandwich but was kind of salty and a bit on the starchy side. Overall - definitely a good place for a deli sandwich just a little on the pricey side - think Zingermans without the friendly service....
