I don't know where to start. Rosy is the manager of the troy location. She is beyond welcoming and will give you a big hug if you think you need it. All of the staff there makes you feel as if though you belong and not that you're just popping through. They have a very extensive menu.But don't even let that stop you.They will make just about anything you ask.And they're good about adjusting. They have a room in the back that you can rent, and all they ask is that everyone who is going to be in that room makes a purchase. I can't recommend highly enough. All of the servers and the cooks and rosy and others give a helping hand to the community, both the troy location and the Detroit location on Livernois Ave this is a must place. We pass it all the time and decided to finally give this place a try! Nobody was really in here and we got to pick where we wanted to sit. It was that time of the morning where it was almost lunch time but still breakfast. Luckily they had a large menu to look at to try and decide what we wanted. We both ultimately went with breakfast options. My wife got the original breakfast (pancakes, eggs, bacon, I think hash browns too) and I got a sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a bagel. We dine here for brunch every few weeks because the service is excellent, food is good, and the restaurant is clean and welcoming. While today's experience wasn't as perfect as it normally is, I'm giving them 5 stars for how the server handled it. We each ordered the #2 Breakfast - 2 eggs, toast, choice of breakfast meat, and hash browns or grits. It's a typical full breakfast for a price that can't be beat. Today, we waited longer than usual for our food (no big deal, it's Sunday and we're just relaxing). The coffee was freshly brewed and smelled and tasted divine so I was enjoying my second cup when our food arrived. I like poached eggs and asked for them poached hard. It's not something you can easily tell, as a server, if it's cooked through so she couldn't have known they were still raw inside. The grits and bacon were lukewarm as they were likely plated first and waiting on the eggs. Here's the reason for the 5 star rating...I told the server and she looked at the eggs I had broken into and knew right away. She apologized, offered to have new eggs cooked, offered to get me something else from the menu, and asked if there was anything she could do to make it right. She was so very apologetic and did not make any excuses. I liked that. She was also empowered to fix my issue without having to bring the manager over or make a scene for us. I really liked that. More restaurants should allow their employees to make things right. We did not ask for anything - she offered a number of options for me and took it upon herself to make it right by removing my meal from the bill. This experience only further endears me to this restaurant and their team. We will be back because we know this was not our typical experience. read more

I've enjoyed both breakfast and lunch here with a large group in the back room. Meals are prepared quickly and portions are ample, fresh, and tasty. My faves so far are the veggie omelette and the Greek salad, which has an unusual creamy Greek dressing. Service is efficient (not easy with a large group). This place used to be the best. Service now is sketchy. Maybe good, maybe not. Silverware is not clean. It took me three tries to get a clean packet of utensils. While the food is ok, the cleanliness gives me bad vibes on the food. Once we rented out the room in the back. The bills were messed up, some thought the prices were high. Clean facility. One person asked for poached eggs and got scrambled which she didn't like. Really wanted to like this restaurant since its close to me and a local place. Server wasn't great, which is fine if the food is good. Corned beef hash literally looked it was out of a can and then somehow burnt. 6 dollars for a SINGLE slice of ham. I would not recommend this place. McDonald's has a better breakfast menu. read more

I ordered a chicken Caesar salad it was big but not good price was fourteen dollars the chicken was cold but had grill marks and the Caesar dressing was tasteless and with a chicken Caesar dressing is key I asked for a little extra dressing and was charged for it my lemonade was four dollars I also ordered a coney with chili mustard and onions which is what a coney is she asked if I wanted mustard and I said yes so I get it and there's no mustard so I said I asked for mustard to be on it so she pulls out a bottle of mustard and I had to put my own on so suffice to say this was a lousy meal for a lot of cash I wont be back I hate to leave a lousy review but that's the truth as I experienced it restaurants raise their prices regularly so when I get a crap meal for a high price I'm leaving a review my friend got a sloppy hoe and it was good but the beef was over cooked our leftovers went in the garbage at home didn't even eat those but the waitress was nice read more

However, the prices were outrageous. On top of that, they add a charge for using a debit card. I had the small dinner salad with Greek dressing and a corned beef on onion roll. The "small" was twice as big as I expected with amazing dressing. The prices here are far too high. An image search of the previous years' menus of will show how drastically the prices have continuously increased. It had been a while since my previous visit, but I recently came here for lunch with a group of colleagues and ordered a Reuben (nothing to write home about and currently $14.95), making it a "deluxe" (what they call making certain lone items on the menu into combo meals) -- adding fries and a soda (yes, a soda counts as one of your two choices of sides) for a whopping additional $7.95. After tax and the 3% card processing fee they pass onto the customer, I was sitting at $25 even. Tipping $5 brought this to a $30 lunch -- for a Reuben, fries, and a cola. I could have eaten the same meal at a reputable deli for $10 less easily. The price of their sides and the "deluxe" option is where the restaurant really gets it wrong. Their up-charge is the price of an entire lunch at some restaurants. $3.95 for an a la carte soda is ridiculous. Someone associated with Noni's responded to a "too expensive" review, posted elsewhere, saying their prices are based on market analysis of the area. I have eaten everywhere around here and I haven't come close to seeing another restaurant charging $3.95 for a pop (and no, the servers have never offered me a to-go beverage here, either, but I have received them at other restaurants). I'd love to see this market analysis driving Noni's prices. Are they competing with Comerica Park and Ford Field? The food is just okay. The service is hit or miss depending on their mood. The atmosphere is fine. Price is the problem, and the five colleagues I had lunch with agreed we would not be going back due to the exorbitant pricing. Noni's, do some more research and fix your prices and maybe we will come back. Instead, Noni's is now the butt of the joke when we go to every other restaurant around for lunch and say, "Hey look, a fountain soda is only $X here! Can you believe it?!" read more

This is my family's first time coming to Noni's Grille. We were in Troy and looking for a nice family dinner. We truly found it at Noni's! What a beautifully updated interior. All comfy tall booth's and wood backed chairs. We were welcomed in various ways by our incredible server Valerie. She lit up when we told her this was our first visit. (Clearly won't be the last). She was genuinely excited to let us know all the soups and food are homemade. She joyfully explained the menu to us. She let us know the portions are generous and she was telling the truth! (We all went home with enough food for lunch tomorrow). She helped us choose an entree we enjoyed. She was also very patient and kind, a delightful woman. Each special on the dinner menu comes with homemade soup and rice pudding. Talk about a family establishment! We absolutely loved our dining experience and will be back, with other family members. Our monthly Real Estate Meeting is trying Noni's Grille as a new location for our breakfast meetings. We go regularly to other businesses nearby and watched as this former National Coney closed and transformed into Noni's Grille. But we haven't actually eaten here until our group tried this location. My focus was on the breakfast menu for our meeting and found the usual breakfast choices. Generally the Omelette and egg dish prices were comparable to other places we have been. And the coffee prices and taste are decent; I drink it black if the taste is good! The Breakfast Sandwiches are higher priced ($5.25 on Toast, add $0.50 on Bagel or English Muffin) than National Coney ($3.29 on Bagel) or Kerby's ($3.50 on Bagel). My wife stuck with her usual breakfast of Oatmeal with Raisins (price competitive at $3.25). Portion sizes are generous as noted by other reviewers. I ordered the Breakfast Special two Eggs Over Easy, Wheat Toast, Bacon, and Hash Browns. Everything was cooked as we expected and taste was good. Unlike some others reviews our service was excellent (thanks, Steffi) and our orders came out after 15-20 minutes for our group of eighteen. Coffee was refilled constantly, the water had no funky taste requiring lemon to cover up, and restrooms were very clean, although a lack of toilet seat covers was disappointing! And there were no paper napkin dispensers on the tables so you need to ask if you want additional napkins. 2.5 stars. Cut to the chase: Basically a super nice looking Coney restaurant, but still working out the kinks with service and the kitchen. I have been slowly watching them put this place together for several months. It used to be a National Coney Island, but it appears they completely gutted the building and put a ton of money into the redesign. It is still basically a Coney Island restaurant, but the interior has tons of nice flat screens and even a fireplace. The booths were very comfy and the backs go pretty high, so toddlers can't peak over the tops and disturb neighbors. The staff was also super nice. The big kinks came with the actual food. We ordered a kids grilled cheese and medium rare hamburger. I happened to text someone right after I ordered, so I had a pretty good gauge on the time. At well oiled restaurant of this style, I would expect food in 20-25 minutes. This place took closer to an hour, which I felt was just way too long. Also I was annoyed that I did not get an explanation. Also, I was with my toddler son, and at restaurants where they are used to kids, as this place appear to be, there were no cups with tops, nor did they offer to bring our my kids food first, which should have taken 15 minutes to whip up. When the food arrived it was good, nothing extraordinary, but good. That said; the fries were very good, as they were kind with a super crispy outside and well salted. Overall, not the best first impression, but they showed enough potential for me want to come back. I will probably wait a few weeks to let them hit their stride. read more

First time at Noni's. Very good with nice portions. I got the hamburger deluxe and got the salad and soup. I wish I knew the soup was cream based because I prefer broth, my fault for not asking. The Caesar salad dressing was very thick but good. Service was excellent. We will back and try the many other choices. This was over a year ago and I just noticed that I didn't finish the review. In town for Hockey Showcase down the street had to drop by Noni's. Ordered breakfast, everything was great, just as we remembered. *****update***** at least after my review they updated their pricing on their website. but when responding to my review they once again are clearly lying about only having only 1 price increase since they opened. i have 3 different menus with 3 different prices at my business as i work near the restaurant. the fact that the owner is lying about the little things makes me worry about what else they are lying about. i have included pictures of multiple different priced menu's. although the owner claims they have only increased prices once bait and switch. this place used to be a great value. big portion at a fair price. now prices are 50% more than advertised on their own website. i get it, everyone has to raise prices at some point but to raise prices 3 times only to reduce your portion size and never update the pricing on your website only means one thing. you are purposely deceiving your customers. read more

Tried to dine here on 5/24 around 5:45 pm. We were promptly seated and after the hostess and waitress decide where best to seat us. We sat and reviewed the menus and a bus boy brought water to the table. We reviewed the large menu, and decided what we each were going to order. We watched waitresses move around. We saw curly fries on the pass that were there when we sat co it he to sit under the warmer. We then realized 20 minutes had passed and a single waitress did not stop by the table. We left, we told the hostess that no one ever stopped by and the head waitress that knew where we were sat also seemed shocked. With service that poor we will not be back. read more

I'm only giving this place a 2 star because the waitress was awesome and sweet! The place is nice too! The food has zero flavor and presentation wise is just overall sloppy. I think the menu has tooooo many selections, which will be the downfall of this restaurant. Just pick the top selling items and make those to perfection then bam you have a successful restaurant. Sorry for the review, but it's just a way to help the business. The coffee also doesn't have the best taste.
