Best gravy I ever had BUT we both ended up with stomach issues. Didn't think much of it, we ate our leftovers the next day for lunch and again, we both had stomach issues. Chinese Fried Shrimp are mainly all breading and not good at all. Heavy and thick breading. See photo of one order of all the extra breading. The veggie egg fu young was just mostly big hunks of broccoli and the gravy was way too watery. They don't do pan fried noodles, and the veggie low main is just ok. Best part of the meal was the egg rolls that they forgot to give me, and I had to go back, and they gave me two extra ones for my trouble. No fresh hot mustard too. read more

(This is my 3rd attempt at writing a review for this place. Apparently yelp keeps deleting my reviews for some reason.) - I ordered the General chicken lunch portion. The food was good, but it did seem a tad lower quality than what I'm used to getting at a Chinese joint. The General chicken had a unique sauce apart from most other Chinese restaurants, but it was still good. I like the sauce that's cooked into the chicken, it seems as if the sauce was poured onto the chicken after it was cooked. You have the option to get steamed vegetables instead of rice with your meal if you want to. I chose the steamed vegetables assuming that there would be the same sauce on them that was on the General chicken. There was no sauce on the vegetables, but I can't knock them for that because I didn't inquire before ordering. The steamed vegetables were good on their own, they just would have been better marinating in the sauce. Next time I'm going to ask for the sauce to go on my steamed vegetables as well. read more

This is a hole in the wall INCREDIBLE place. Our long time smiley go-to Chinese place sadly closed due to COVID and we have been searching for a good replacement for almost a year. We finally tried this place a few months ago and have probably placed 15 large orders both over the phone and online through their website and everything has been amazing! They have never made a mistake and the food is always hot, fresh and flavorful. It is a small, family run business and the same husband, wife and two sons are always there and always pleasant, friendly and appreciative of business. We have to take the express way and it's a good 20 minute drive to get there but it is absolutely worth it! The food won't disappoint, it's packed with flavor, they have reasonable prices, an expansive menu, and their late hours are a major plus! I highly recommend the Hunan dishes, Egg Fu Young, Lo Mein and Crispy Shrimp (spicy and regular). The Family Meals are a great deal if you are buying for a group and you can pick anything you want off the menu! Great value for Chinese. The portions are gigantic for the price. Most meals are between $4 and $5. The quality isn't great, but for the price it's very good. All lunches include entree and a choice of: Fried Rice, White Rice, Noodles or Steamed Vegetables. Of course you also get a fortune cookie. The General Tso's chicken is very good. Another favorite is Chicken with Garlic Sauce. The spicy dishes are not very hot. You may need to spend the extra 25 cents on a cup of hot chili oil if you really like the heat. The location is an old Pizza Hut if that gives you any idea of the atmosphere. read more

They have good sesame chicken, it's a burning red color, kind of cool and different (maybe that's the dragon) The Almond chicken is huge. I like the peppery egg rolls. Pros: You can substitute rice in the lunch or dinners with fried noodles or veggies. The style of Chinese here is a little different than most Michigan Chinese restaurants and it's good for a change. The specials are a good value but it kind of annoys me that you have to pay extra for General Tso's, orange chicken and some of their other "specialties" that other places do not upchatge you for getting. They give you a good portion size. their crab ragout was good you just have to order 2 orders because they do small single person type portions. Was bummed that the dinner didn't come with an egg roll. I had the sesame chicken with white rice. Chicken was nice and tender but there was too much sauce. They kinda drowned the chicken in sauce. My husbands meal was similar, too much sauce. Like I said before it's a good backup if your favorite place isn't an option. Just ask for a double order of crab ragout and light on the sauce with your meal. As for the customer service they are fantastic! Very very friendly and helpful. Okay I've been coming here for a few years now and I think it's about time I gave Dragon 1 a review that it deserves. It looks like new owners/workers the past couple times I've been in there and the food has been decent. My main issue with n the past has been consistency, not awful but blah. My 2 current faves are the General Tso chicken and the chicken lo mein. On one hand you have the General, fried perfectly with a little bit of sweet heat to it. On the other hand there is the lo mein with really good noodles with very tame but comforting flavor. Egg rolls are good but I don't care for their plum sauce packets from here. The service good as well, nice people. All around pretty solid Chinese carry out. read more

Dragon 1 offers a great value for meals. I've only ever been for lunch before last night and always enjoyed my meals. The lunches are 4-6$ dinner is 6-8$ and a larger portion. You can add soup for 1$ and the hot and sour is really good. I recommend giving it a try. The dinners come with fried rice and egg roll. I've had ABC, sesame chicken, and sweet and sour pork and have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly and efficient and the dining room is clean and spacious. The only thing I don't like is that the sauces are all packets and packet hot mustard is not good. Small concession to make for hot , fresh, good, inexpensive Chinese. read more

Okay, first time review and I'm doing this hopefully to help someone in the future. Typical chinese restaurant, and better food than most. However earlier tonight I took my girlfriend to get some takeout for dinner at around 8pm. We ordered Vegetable Lo Mein and sweet and sour chicken with egg noodles cause we love the noodles there. We've had it before no problem. But I haven't had it in maybe 4 or more months because last time I had a bad experience and my stomach hurt after eating it. Tonight, my girlfriend went into work at 10pm after we finished eating around 8:30pm and complained of her stomach hurting. I didn't feel anything but now I have been up since 5:30am (after going to bed at 11:30pm) with a horrible stomache it feels like and I tried taking pepto. Looking back, the thing that we both ate were the egg noodles. She doesn't like their chicken. After two bad experiences in a row, I won't be going back and I'm throwing out the leftovers. Wonton soup tasted watered down , brown rice dry as rubber! egg rolls tasted like microwave garbage, the sesame sauce on the sesame chicken was ok but chicken was soggy , and all though the veggies In the chicken chop suey were ok the chicken and the sauce were not all that great. I should have known by how busy the place was (not a single other customer there at dinner time) I will not be going back or recommend this place to anyone , drive a few miles further for better Chinese!
