service was good. Carry out only so the place isn't set for dine in. The food was decent...sweet & sour wasn't too flavorful. fried shrimp was really yummy though. Crab rangoon's were alright. Would get the shrimp again. read more

Dragon 1 Express - crab rangoons and sweet & sour shrimp - Chinese Near Me - Roseville, Michigan

Stopped in to grab lunch, got a shrimp lo mein- regular size and it was a great size for the price and delicious. The service was fairly quick and the menu very extensive. the interior has dining spots but it's more of a grab and go spot. The crab ragoons were pretty good too! Not a bad stop. read more

Amazing food! Great flavors and well cooked! They had so many choices I had to get 2 dinners. Broccoli with beef and almond boneless chicken. read more

The food was great!! My son and I ordered the almond boneless chicken and I had the shrimp fried rice my son had the chicken fried rice and wonton soup. The food was great!! The gravy was excellent!! Best gravy I ever had BUT we both ended up with stomach issues. Didn't think much of it, we ate our leftovers the next day for lunch and again, we both had stomach issues. Although the food was fantastic, we won't be back. read more

The best!!! They cook their food with love of cooking. I've been going here for 7 years and they are always consistent. Sweet and sour chicken on point, Mongolian beef on point. When you see other Asians eating and picking up food from an Asian restaurant, you know it's cooked properly and is delicious. The Family is very nice as well!! read more

Chinese Fried Shrimp are mainly all breading and not good at all. Heavy and thick breading. See photo of one order of all the extra breading. The veggie egg fu young was just mostly big hunks of broccoli and the gravy was way too watery. They don't do pan fried noodles, and the veggie low main is just ok. Best part of the meal was the egg rolls that they forgot to give me, and I had to go back, and they gave me two extra ones for my trouble. No fresh hot mustard too. read more

Shrimp fried rice 5 stars, crab Rangoon 5 stars... sesame chicken...... not bad at all. Will be back read more

Dragon 1 Express - Chinese Near Me - Roseville, Michigan

First time/ last time (probably) We did like the rice ..... Our order was 30 mins behind when they said it would be ready , the breaded chicken chunks had an odd taste , deep fried shrimp were decent , the crab Rangoon were ehhh and wasn't overly pleased with any of the sauces / gravy read more

Place was empty on pick up, food was ok at best, crab rangoons were way off, everything else was just o.k. Definitely won't be at the top of any list for us. read more

My go to place. Consistent each time I order since I first tried them as a student at Macomb community college. Business owners are always nice and have delicious Chinese-american food. read more

Decent amount of food and tasted really good. I had the sesame chicken, Lo mein, and a cup of wonton soup. Enjoyed everything I ordered. The food was fresh too! My husband and I have ordered here a handful of times and are usually satisfied. Would recommend this place for sure. read more

Highly recommend this place fresh authentic Chinese food been coming here since 2007 and is still my number one to go to spot regardless what you read or see on these yelp reviews. All I recommend is there is always two sides to a story and I recommend to start your story by trying this place out, and I promise you you'll be happy with the food. read more

Dragon 1 Express - 3. General Tso's Chicken hot and spicy - Chinese Near Me - Roseville, Michigan

First time customer. Looks ran down from the exterior, trash and cigarette butts all over. Interior isn't much better. Ordered orange chicken dinner, the rice was just fried rice, nothing other than oil and rice in a pan. Chicken was soggy but typical generic Chinese style. read more

The first two times I ate wasn't that good to me, probably because I always order lunch instead of dinner. But this time is different. For some reason the lady doesn't really work today although she's here, but there's a nice man doing that. And probably because I asked him not to put any onion in there, that's why I like it better! Lol. I don't like sesame chicken here. But I like the one Im having, Schezuan chicken! Oh and you don't have to leave tips here, because if you pick a place to pick, when your food is ready you will have to go to the counter to get the food. once youre done, throw disposal bowl and dish away, so no tips. read more

Dragon 1 Express - Schezuan Chicken with Wonton Soup & Egg rolls with some crackers and hot chilli sauce. - Chinese Near Me - Roseville, Michigan

(This is my 3rd attempt at writing a review for this place. Apparently yelp keeps deleting my reviews for some reason.) - I ordered the General chicken lunch portion. The food was good, but it did seem a tad lower quality than what I'm used to getting at a Chinese joint. The General chicken had a unique sauce apart from most other Chinese restaurants, but it was still good. I like the sauce that's cooked into the chicken, it seems as if the sauce was poured onto the chicken after it was cooked. You have the option to get steamed vegetables instead of rice with your meal if you want to. I chose the steamed vegetables assuming that there would be the same sauce on them that was on the General chicken. There was no sauce on the vegetables, but I can't knock them for that because I didn't inquire before ordering. The steamed vegetables were good on their own, they just would have been better marinating in the sauce. Next time I'm going to ask for the sauce to go on my steamed vegetables as well. read more

Dragon 1 Express - General Chicken combo - Chinese Near Me - Roseville, Michigan

This was the first time my person and I had gone here and the General Tso Chicken, Singapore Mei Fun and the egg drop soup were great! Very fast service and was provided with large portions. It may be a hole in the wall but we both like to find places like that and enjoyed getting to dine-in for Chinese instead of getting a carry out for the first time since the pandemic! read more

This isbthe worst chinese food I've ever had. I'm not picky either. I had egg rolls and chicken fried rice. The ratings weren't great so i kept it basic. I live near by. Man alive, i had no idea. My chicken fried rice, it was crunchy. They peas and carrots were .. looked weird. Had no taste. The inside of the egg roll was ok, but the outside tasted like.. there was cinnamon? Ill drive further next time. Hell, ill go get chinese food from the mall. That would be better. Ugh. read more

It was OK the food wasn't all that spectacular portions were medium sized shrimp was overcooked with better but the chicken sweet-and-sour was great read more

Great value for Chinese. The portions are gigantic for the price. Most meals are between $4 and $5. The quality isn't great, but for the price it's very good. All lunches include entree and a choice of: Fried Rice, White Rice, Noodles or Steamed Vegetables. Of course you also get a fortune cookie. The General Tso's chicken is very good. Another favorite is Chicken with Garlic Sauce. The spicy dishes are not very hot. You may need to spend the extra 25 cents on a cup of hot chili oil if you really like the heat. The location is an old Pizza Hut if that gives you any idea of the atmosphere. read more

This is a hole in the wall INCREDIBLE place. Our long time smiley go-to Chinese place sadly closed due to COVID and we have been searching for a good replacement for almost a year. We finally tried this place a few months ago and have probably placed 15 large orders both over the phone and online through their website and everything has been amazing! They have never made a mistake and the food is always hot, fresh and flavorful. It is a small, family run business and the same husband, wife and two sons are always there and always pleasant, friendly and appreciative of business. We have to take the express way and it's a good 20 minute drive to get there but it is absolutely worth it! The food won't disappoint, it's packed with flavor, they have reasonable prices, an expansive menu, and their late hours are a major plus! I highly recommend the Hunan dishes, Egg Fu Young, Lo Mein and Crispy Shrimp (spicy and regular). The Family Meals are a great deal if you are buying for a group and you can pick anything you want off the menu! (Additional charges apply for the more expensive dishes but it is still a great price) Thanks Dragon 1! Keep up the great work! read more

They have good sesame chicken, it's a burning red color, kind of cool and different (maybe that's the dragon) The Almond chicken is huge. I like the peppery egg rolls. Pros: You can substitute rice in the lunch or dinners with fried noodles or veggies. The style of Chinese here is a little different than most Michigan Chinese restaurants and it's good for a change. Super cheap lunch specials! Owners are nice. Cons: One time chicken was funky but I mentioned it and never had a problem again. The dining area is kind of divish but acceptable. 3.5 Stars read more

If you're looking for good Chinese takeout in the area, this is the best I've had in a long time. Since moving back to metro Detroit 8 years ago, my husband and I have tried just about every Chinese takeout and most were disappointing. This place is fast, tasty, and not overpriced. I have worked in the area for a while now and am really glad I tried it. Just because it's in a former Pizza Hut, doesn't mean it's shady. Try it!! read more

Dragon 1 Express - a close up of a dish of noodles - Chinese Near Me - Roseville, Michigan

We have ordered from here a few times. The food is okay and you get a good portion size for your money. I can't say that the people behind the counter are the friendliest but I can put up with it. The specials are a good value but it kind of annoys me that you have to pay extra for General Tso's, orange chicken and some of their other "specialties" that other places do not upchatge you for getting. The last time we got the dinner special for four and it was a lot of food. We have had at least three meals from it so far. read more

Dragon 1 Express - Love the sesame chicken, mild. - Chinese Near Me - Roseville, Michigan

The food is ok... Better than any other chinese place we have tried around here. The orange chicken seems to be very popular here and the portions are good size. My complaint is the wait. I called my order in for pick up, waited 10 min to leave, and when I got here I still had to wait. From the time the order was placed, 45min had passed before I finally got our food. read more

I'm currently waiting for a takeout order. The last one we got a couple weeks ago was incorrect. But their food is pretty good. There always seems to be children running around in the lobby that belong to those who are working. That's a bit strange. But it's your standard american Chinese takeout. read more

Called for delivery an hour before closing, they gave me a number for delivery. Turns out it was another Chinese place down the road that already closed. Ugh whatever. So I drive my drunk ass up there to pick up my food. Guy looked all scared and shaky, just stared at me from way in the back. Got my food and checked it out. Looked like quite a bit, I think they gave me extra because I was open carrying. Noodles are kinda cold tho. read more

I ordered takeout with some coworkers and I was impressed with the flavor and the price. They have the best egg drop soup, hands down, and I actually ate the egg roll. I never eat the egg roll. I will definitely do this again. read more

Not bad. I would say their food is average. Still looking for a great Chinese restaurant. But it's a good backup. They give you a good portion size. their crab ragout was good you just have to order 2 orders because they do small single person type portions. Was bummed that the dinner didn't come with an egg roll. I had the sesame chicken with white rice. Chicken was nice and tender but there was too much sauce. They kinda drowned the chicken in sauce. My husbands meal was similar, too much sauce. Like I said before it's a good backup if your favorite place isn't an option. Just ask for a double order of crab ragout and light on the sauce with your meal. As for the customer service they are fantastic! Very very friendly and helpful. My husband left his wallet and they immediately locked it up and when he went to pick it up they verified the picture and information on his ID. read more

The quality of the food here just isn't the same. The last two times the rice was undercooked and hard. I ordered bourbon chicken and the chicken was tough and it was hard, lacked flavor. I usually order the general Tso but the breading is soggy and the meat is just weird. I used to love this place, I don't know what happened. read more

I know this place doesn't look the best from the outside but it is SO good!! They have the best sesame chicken in the area! Definitely check this place out for your next Chinese food craving :) read more

Okay I've been coming here for a few years now and I think it's about time I gave Dragon 1 a review that it deserves. It looks like new owners/workers the past couple times I've been in there and the food has been decent. My main issue with n the past has been consistency, not awful but blah. My 2 current faves are the General Tso chicken and the chicken lo mein. On one hand you have the General, fried perfectly with a little bit of sweet heat to it. On the other hand there is the lo mein with really good noodles with very tame but comforting flavor. Egg rolls are good but I don't care for their plum sauce packets from here. The service good as well, nice people. All around pretty solid Chinese carry out. read more

Food tasted like mold, went 1 time never went back. You can see they have no business. Place is not that clean either !

Who uses this place to eat anything it's pretty irrelevant. Had it before it's not bad it's worth 3 stars and if it was a Uber I'd ask to drive me to burger king read more

First time ordering from here. The portion size for the price was terrific. The food was crispy, and not oily. The spice level was on point, the vegetables were very fresh. It's definitely American style Chinese food, but it was tasty. We will order again. read more

Okay, first time review and I'm doing this hopefully to help someone in the future. Typical chinese restaurant, and better food than most. However earlier tonight I took my girlfriend to get some takeout for dinner at around 8pm. We ordered Vegetable Lo Mein and sweet and sour chicken with egg noodles cause we love the noodles there. We've had it before no problem. But I haven't had it in maybe 4 or more months because last time I had a bad experience and my stomach hurt after eating it. Tonight, my girlfriend went into work at 10pm after we finished eating around 8:30pm and complained of her stomach hurting. I didn't feel anything but now I have been up since 5:30am (after going to bed at 11:30pm) with a horrible stomache it feels like and I tried taking pepto. Looking back, the thing that we both ate were the egg noodles. She doesn't like their chicken. After two bad experiences in a row, I won't be going back and I'm throwing out the leftovers. Good luck to those who do. read more

Worst Chinese food I've ever had. Wonton soup tasted watered down , brown rice dry as rubber! egg rolls tasted like microwave garbage, the sesame sauce on the sesame chicken was ok but chicken was soggy , and all though the veggies In the chicken chop suey were ok the chicken and the sauce were not all that great. I should have known by how busy the place was (not a single other customer there at dinner time) I will not be going back or recommend this place to anyone , drive a few miles further for better Chinese! The arbys next door (although not Chinese) has better food on their worst day!! read more
