Dank. This place is a hidden gem event from the parking lot. It looks closed but it's not. To-go only. I got the almond chicken and the broccoli beef the chicken was exceptional and the gravy that came with it was perfection. Huge portions, ate off my plate for 3 days. The wonton soup is probably the best I've ever had and packed full of wontons and veggies. I was one of three people in the lobby waiting for my food. Both of the other people had been eating there for 15 and 20 years. The one guy paid for my food, because he was so excited that I found the best Chinese food and all of Michigan! My guy decided to get takeout for Mother's Day so I didn't have to cook. Our family of three loves Chinese food. Soon Lee is right around the corner and is our default place to go. I always do the ordering and I think Soon Lee knows my voice. I always tell her it is a take-out order and give her his name. He gets the same order every time, Chinese fried shrimp with sweet and sour sauce, ABC with gravy on the side. I have convinced him to buy combo plates because the amount of food will make it last for another meal or two. We also ordered beef and broccoli, wonton soup, egg drop soup, and chicken with Chinese vegetables dish. The fried rice was good. It did not need any extra soy sauce like many other places do. The fried shrimp were big, perfectly fried, and tender. The chicken and vegetables had plenty of fresh vegetables in a light, tasty sauce with plenty of tender chicken pieces. My beef and broccoli combo was great. The beef was tender and there was plenty of it. The broccoli was cooked the way I liked it, a lot more tender than usual. The sauce was flavorful and made a nice addition to my fried rice. The ABC was crispy with a tasty gravy, on the side as requested. We also received a large container of white rice. The egg rolls were crispy and full of goodness. The egg drop soup was good. The wonton soup was perfect with plenty of stuffed wontons in a clear broth with some veggies. I do miss the fluffy dinner rolls they used to have but the pandemic made them virtually impossible to find. Overall, we received some tasty food. Tried this for the first time. Horrible. Just got home and it's hard to even eat this. I don't want to write a bad review but this is the worst almond chicken I ever had. GROSS! I am posting pictures of our food along with this review. We ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken along with Shrimp Lo Mein. This was our first time picking up food at this restaurant. Never, ever again. This restaurant is in a strip mall located next to a party store. A little sketchy after dark, but figured it was worth a try. Upon walking in the door it is very similar to a doctor's office waiting room with a reception window where you pick up food. The overall appearance was very dirty. From my vantage point, I could see a couple of fish tanks with the dirtiest water I had ever seen that were only half full. My only hope was that they weren't keeping the seafood that is being ate in them. The Sweet and Sour Chicken that I get at most places has the pink sweet and sour sauce in the side with breaded white meat chicken. HERE, it is breaded chicken (the absolute toughest I have ever ate) already coated in a sauce. The sauce can only be described as vinegar mixed with apple and gross. The Shrimp Lo Mein looked like no lo mein I have ever got. It didn't look cooked at all. The sauce on it can only be described as slime. Both meals went straight in the garbage after only one bite. The meals only cost $15 and were enough food to feed a family of 4-6. Would be a fantastic value if they weren't completely inedible. read more

Order General Taos chicken, egg rolls and wonton soup. First I'll say the outside was a little rough but the food inside is great! The general Taos was very flavor full and they give HUGE portions. It was a whole large container full of just chicken and then a medium contain full of rice. The egg rolls tasted good as well. Only down fall was the soup was bland. The food is pretty good and very filling. I usually get the pepper steak combination plate for only $6. It fills me up for the whole day. The only downside I would say is the carry out area is a little junky. I've gone 3 times during the last month and the same empty bag of chips has been on the floor. It's pretty good to me, I would buy 2 quarts of rice and quart of gravy for under $4.00, it would give me 3 or 4 filling meals, which kept me from starving to death during a severe low point in my life. I also asked for it spicy, and there was zero spice to it. The only good thing about it was the choice of vegetables. They are usually busy and she is good about her estimates on when to pick up. We have tried almost all dishes and have our favorites, but haven't found anything we thought was bad. Been there twice this week both times for down in. The main lady is so nice and friendly and remembers people. We saw a lot of regulars and she knew them all. The food is so great and the portions perfect. We love their crab rangoons and their beef fried rice and wonton soup most. My husband doesn't like crab rangoons but like theirs. It was a little sweeter than I am use to but still good. Their sweet and sour sauce reminds me of duck sauce, sweeter than most sauces I have had. My son loves when we get extra beef in the beef fried rice and picks out all of the beef. It's just so good. We may never try another Chinese place it is our place. Definitely try it. read more
