If I could give this place 1 star I would not only is it filthy and unorganized my food was gross my sweet and sour chicken was soggy no crunch and full of nasty sauce and cooked raw internally rice was over cooked very little shrimp, my other items was soaked in grease and the owner's attitude is disrespectful and rude she serves food mean racist and hateful The health department need to be called of them read more

Portions are large. The chicken in my general taos was dry and hard it's expensive. We probably won't be back.

We have been customers of Wah Hong for the past 27 years. The food is always delicious & plentiful and the staff has ALWAYS been welcoming & friendly. Take the ONE negative comment with a grain of salt, as I've had MANY encounters with the owner & can't say enough nice things about her. read more

I saw that my cousin recommended this restaurant online after receiving the recommendation from her friends so I tried it and I like it. Very nice patient while deciding on what to order. When I arrived no one else was in there but when I left it was crowded. This I my new spot. read more

This is my favorite Chinese food restaurant!! Every time I'm in town, I must visit to get the Almond Boneless Chicken and the yeast bread rolls. You used to be able to dine it, but after COVID that changed. The staff is always nice to me, but that's because I am always nice. If you get smart, expect them to return the favor. They have been at this location for over 20 years and is respected in the community. If you are ever on 8mile/Kelly, definitely check them out! read more

Best Chinese food I've had since 2004 in HAMTRAMCK... this is the old school, how Chinese food used to taste, grandma recipe, family owned good shit! read more

Food was soooo good! Miss eating almond boneless chicken. NC doesn't have this dish. So I get it every time I come to Michigan. read more

Wah Hong Restaurant - Chinese Near Me - Eastpointe, Michigan

One of the best Chinese food places I've had anywhere including Shanghai. Egg rolls spot on, S/s shicken amazing, almond chicken amazing. I don't eat bread, but everyone that's had them says the rolls are really good too. The only tip is to always get the sauce on the side. They like to over-sauce and it's swimming but I like to dip and have lighter sauce. It's Eastpointe, so expect a bit of a run-down vibe outside. Staff comes across a bit short until you know them, then they're great. I like supporting local family owned rather than some chain. read more

We stop here every time we are in the area. Don't let the 8-Mile Rd location fool you. This place has been a staple in the community for years. It's a great story... the original cook bought it and still cooks there today after more than 30 years. So many delicious options. The egg rolls may be the best I've ever had, crispy wrapper and tasty inside. They make their own plum sauce... use that one... it's fantastic. We love their soups and thick moist buns that come with it. The wonton soup is my fave. The staff are kind and the owner works hard there every day. It can be a busy place, and it's a mistake to interpret being busy or direct as impolite. We go so often that they recognize is and we make delightful small talk. Very happy they're in our community. read more

It was wonderful. The best s/s chicken in the area. Sooo good Make sure to get a dinner roll read more

Filthy and Gross. The food was cooked in old grease and tasted like it. The very worst Chinese food I have ever had.

Great food! Very fresh and full of flavor. I love the sweet and sour chicken. Great egg rolls too! Large portions. My go to for Chinese food

Food was disappointing, maybe we got the wrong stuff (orange chicken, crab Rangoon's) fried rice is sub par.

Bad customer service I called to inquire about the menu and the lady acted as if I was interrupting her sleep. I asked about the bourbon chicken and how it comes. When I said never mind she hurry and hung up when I was in the middle of asking about another combination plate. Every time I try to order here it's something and I'm quite tired of there attitude and rushed food orders. I'll NEVER ORDER HERE AGAIN ILL GO SOMEWHERE ELSE AND THIS IS THE LOCAL CHINESE SPOT. read more

Idk it wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The entrance was dirty outside and inside it made me suspicious about the food. The lady said honey chicken with the sauce on the side and the chicken was swimming in sauce so I was confused. My dog liked it though. read more

This was a horrible experience from me and my moms dinner . First off The egg drop soup was just like eating gravy out of the can and my moms pork lo mein noodles were Overcooked and gluey and The pork wasn't cooked all the way and not even browned and there was no sauce on the pork lo mein. my general Taos chicken wasn't spicy there was no spice on it whatsoever and it was salty and it wasn't the best experience ever and won't be coming back here again read more

The cashier here is rude. The food isn't prepared the same every time. After my last interaction I've decided to no longer patronize this establishment. read more

Worst Chinese food I have EVER had. Ordered $40.00 worth of food and had to throw it ALL away! HORRIBLE! Tasted like it was two days old and recycled. Could not stomach it! DO NOT ORDER from this place!!!! Terrible! read more

Food was great. Server explained different noodles to make sure we knew what we were getting.

Their shrimp fried rice and gravy is very excellent I was highly satisfied with my meal and would recommend to anyone in the area

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. Every time I come back to MI I have to comeback here for ABC. You can't get that anywhere else in the country. I always tell them that I have moved out of state and in to visit and how much I love their sauce. They always give me a couple of extra containers of sauce to take back with me . Have not been back home in quite a few years would really love to get my hands on some ABC miss it. Service was always good, plenty of food. This is a one of a kind place. read more

I've been coming here since I was a kid. I love it. Same staff, same great food. My favorite is the sesame Chicken and sweet & sour chicken/shrimp. They don't charge extra for using the credit machine. It's always clean and quite. read more

Some of the best Chinese on the east side in my opinion. Decent sized shrimp in the rice. Everything I've tried so far has been good.

Food was fast. I ordered an egg roll and small shrimp fried rice. It was ok. Egg roll was pretty good but the rice was not. It was kind of burned and they don't clean the shrimp and it's the small cocktail shrimp in the rice. I won't be returning. read more

It's hard for me to give this place even one star. The worst Chinese food I've ever had. Our meals were filled with celery and the sauces were gross. I'm pretty sure my chicken was tofu. Don't order szechuan steak, you'll get pot roast. The best part of the meal was the wonton soup which was lackluster at best. Will never order from here again. EVER. read more

This place doesnt care about customers. I ordered sweet and sour chicken and was told is extra to not put any m.s.g in my food. When I got home my food was cold. And when i called the woman there argued with me. Never will go back read more

I ordered carry out chicken fried rice. The chicken didn't not appear to be chicken nor taste like it. Also ordered a dinner roll which was tasty. Called the restaurant when I got home. Was told it was a chicken turkey roll. They hung up the phone on me. I will not go back. They were very rude & uncooperative. read more

Maybe its nostagia because I remember eating here when I was 3 years old, and my parents brought us here all the time...But I just love eating here! If you ask for a dish hot and spicey it will be hot and spicey. The food is always flavorful and good. They have amazing dinner rolls that are so sweet they need no butter...but are great for mopping up sauce. They will ask if you want General Tso breaded or unbreaded. And I LOVE that not all dishes have deep fried chicken like so many others. The dining room is nice and just brings back lots of great memories for me. And the food is good and service great. read more

Worse Chinese food ever someone isn't Chinese back in that kitchen needs to find a new Chinese cook or chef horrible foof

Beware. I ordered food for myself and my grandchildren. Broccoli with chicken for them and Szechuan chicken for me. I love spicy food. On the menu, under the "Spicy" Szechuan title, was my order, which I pointed out to the hostess when ordering. After receiving my orders, I went to the home of my grandkids and shared. The food was decent, the kids loved it. I did too. But my Szechuan was sweet, not spicy. I thought the restaurant made a mistake, so I returned, not to ask for a refund, but to let them know what happened. The hostess said that Szechuan is sweet not spicy, made with sugar. Hot sauce (spice) is added when you ask for it, otherwise it's mild. I explained that I've never had Szechuan that wasn't even mildly spicy and the menu didn't have any indication that it came without some spice. In fact, the menu had hot peppers at the Szechuan title, which was in red, as well as red asterisks for the spicy hot items on most of the Szechuan orders. She said that she thought I wanted mild because I had ordered the chicken and broccoli from the mild side. So beware. Check your orders before you leave. If you don't and they goof, you'll get some cock-a-mammie story about how each restaurant has it's own recipes for an order that should be universal. I don't plan on going back. read more
