Snowing at Wing Wah

Food very very good. The service is prompt, as they do not do in dining restaurant anymore, which is sad because we used to go here for lunch often from the office. The only downside to the service is the carry out containers tend to be overfilled and leak all over the place even though they bag them it creates quite a mess when you get home, the portions are a little large for the containers. As I said, they do not do in restaurant dining anymore so I'm refraining. Shame too, because it is a cool dining room. Servers probably made good money.

This food was disgusting. no taste I ordered vegetable egg foo young fried rice and crab Ragu and a spring roll. All of it was nasty no favor horrible food don't waste your time or money ordering from here. The ragu smell like it was fried in very dirty oil and the spring roll taste like the ragu smell the rice have no taste I usually when I order lunch and don't like it I'll take it home even if I don't like it and give it to my of my children but this garbage is only going to a fit place the trash. I feel so sick after only eating not even half of the egg foo young. My head hurting I'm feeling nauseated i feel as if I have food poisoning never again will I be patronizing this disgusting restaurant. I have to stop trying to eat fast food instead of making cooking.

It only does this place look like a scene out of Dexter, the service is strange (a lady yelling your name from behind a shower curtain while everyone sits awkwardly in a semi-circle). The food was absolutely horrid. The sweet and sour shrimp almost seemed corn-breaded and was at least 70% breading. The sesame chicken had only a drizzle of sesame. The meals were so dissatisfying that we both stopped eating and threw away the left-overs. Never again.

Bad food.

I have ordered from here many times. I don't know what has happened I paid 67.00 for meals can eat any of it. The sweet and sour chicken is all dark meat. The beef fried rice is so dark and has egg shells in it. Enclosing pictures

I ordered Wing Wah via a delivery service. The menu has lots of choices and the prices were fairly reasonable. I ordered the honey chicken (which came with fried rice and an egg roll), extra egg rolls, and wonton soup. The honey chicken was good. They separated the sauce so when it arrived, it was still nice and crispy. My only complaint is that the chicken was dry. The egg rolls were great. The filling was really flavorful and they were nice and crispy and hot. Also the sauce with them was really good. The wonton soup was excellent. It had bok choy and green onion it it, the broth was very flavorful, and the wontons were good. They also send little crisps with it, which were excellent. Lastly, the fried rice wasn't very flavorful, so I would get white rice next time. Overall it was good, and I would definitely order from here again.

Food is excellent. Generous portions and always fresh. They gave me free hot tea while I waited for my carryout.

A "local favorite", for some unknown reason…read more 1) Tried to talk me out of ordering what i ordered, General Tsao's Tofu. "You sure you don't want chicken instead? Because for tofu we have to heat the oil in the fryer..." Like .... "Huh? What? Yeah, I'm sure." Honestly never had this experience before. I would think heating up the fryer is all in a day's work; and it was about 6 PM. No way was I the first person that day to order a fried dish. You don't wanna heat the fryer?! Nobody's forcing you to run this horrible restaurant! 2) General Tsao's has a lot of sauce. They packaged it in the cheap Styrofoam type of container. Of course I took precautions to have it not spill on the drive home. Of course it leaked all over, anyway. And I know they at least have the soup containers. They could have packaged the sauce separately. But no, too stingy. Literally did not want to spend an extra 25 cents to give a better customer experience. 3) The dish wasn't even what I ordered! It was Sweet and Sour, not General Tsao's. 4) It wasn't even good! 5) Before I served it, I rinsed off the container and everything else in the bag, so I didn't get sauce all over my self, my kitchen, my whole house honestly. Later when I went to eat the fortune cookies, one was soggy. So, there had been a hole in the wrapper before I even tried to open it. Great. I wonder what else is going on in their kitchen. Of course everything that enters the restaurant is brought in through the dirty alley... 6) ***NEXT DAY: DIARRHEA.*** ..........Thanks! 7) Much of this might have been avoided if they weren't still milking the whole "no dine-in", since COVID. I'm not about to turn around and go complain after I already drove home with the food. That's why they don't want you in the dining room. If nothing else, all the money they're saving, could go to buy the better containers. (I mean... they have a lot fewer dishes to wash, right? Assuming they even did that.) 8) What about explaining the problems with my meal over the phone, though? Well, first of all, I was hungry; I wanted to eat, not call Customer Service. But also, here's a scene from the "director's cut" version of the review... ;) While waiting for my food, I got to listen to the hostess talking on speakerphone to someone who was trying to order carry-out. She was trying to explain that if they came in to order, they would get more chicken, and fewer veggies. Seriously for 10 mins she's trying to explain it. Well, not really *explain*; more like she was just saying it over and over. Honestly it sounded like somehow the chicken would magically turn into vegetables, if they placed their order over the phone, but that wouldn't happen if they came in to order the carry-out in person. (Don't ask. I don't get it either!!) Finally the caller just gave up, and said she'd come in. (WHY?!) When the hostess got off the phone, she explained to the people in the lobby "she no understand". By the looks exchanged among us customers, I'm pretty sure none of us understood, either. So, trying to explain my situation, over the phone, and having to deal w/ a comprehension and communication gap like that? *Don't forget they didn't even want to cook my food in the first place!* No, I think it would be healthier for me to just chug a whole bottle of MSG.

I ordered the Egg Roll, the Chicken Fried Rice and the Shrimp Lo Mein. The egg roll was really good actually and definitely worth the price. The shrimp lo mein was super saucy which is usually a good thing but this sauce was horrible. To make matters worse, the lo mein was mostly vegetables so I didn't even get much noodle which is the appeal of lo mein. I pretty much ate saucy vegetables and mushrooms. And the fried rice... was (and I am not being hyperbolic) the driest fried rice I have ever had. It tasted reheated and not moist at all. It also lacked flavor and the chicken inside tasted like cardboard. I only had a couple bites of both these dishes before putting it away. I technically paid $23 for an egg roll is how I view this meal. I hate that I have to give a negative review to a local place but I have to stay true to my integrity.

This usually includes appetizers and dessert. Instead, the luncheon consisted of 10 entrees served family style. We were cool with this, and saw it as a great opportunity to sample the vast menu. For beverages, we had green tea. While my husband and I couldn't sample every dish due to allergies, I would say we tried at least 6 of the dishes. Of those 6, I think there was only one we didn't particularly care for (the eggplant). All other dishes we tried were quite tasty, and the service was great. The teapots were quickly refilled, the food was delivered promptly, and the staff was very cordial and professional. For ambiance, the decor was a little outdated, but not shabby. Regardless, I am happy when places focus the attention on the quality of their food rather than on any fluff. There didn't seem to be a time limit for our party, and none of us felt rushed by the staff. We all felt relaxed enough to enjoy our meal and conversation. One thing I felt bad about is there were a lot of uneaten dishes. Even when shared among tables of 10, ten entrees is a lot to eat! And that was without rice! We were told by our table mates that the restaurant didn't offer takeaway for unfinished meals. That is a shame because that meant a lot of food was going to be wasted. An area of improvement I would suggest is to offer takeaways for uneaten portions, so as to reduce waste. I was going to suggest serving rice as well, but in all honesty we didn't miss it. My husband and I plan to return to Golden Harvest so that we can sample appetizers and explore the menu a little more, but until then I will give my luncheon experience 4 stars.

My favorite meal everytime I'm home. We always get the same dishes and they always hit!read more
