I am so upset. Just spent $40 on a take out order for myself and my children. Opening the dumpling container after getting home to get everyone a dumpling there were multiple gnats or fleas, one or the other, on top of the inside of the box... My 8yr old daughter had already grabbed a piece of the sweet and sour shrimp and proceeded to CHOKE on what can only be described as hard plastic strings inside of the "shrimp" rings.. I'm talking HARD plastic texture, i had to stick my finger down her throat and literally pull them out!! Of course we all completely lost our appetites and threw $40 worth of "food" straight into the garbage. I didn't even open the containers of chicken to see what they looked like. NEVER AGAIN! Decent Chinese food. They only take cash. Called in a carryout and still had to wait.

This continues to be our go-to place for Asian cuisine. Love the General Tso chicken. Wish they would change their egg rolls. The flavor is unusual. Being more conventional would make them more enjoyable. Thank you! read more

Not the best Chinese food. The crab rangoon was soggy and had no hint of crab in it. The kung pao chicken was flavorless, the saving grace was the veggies -- they were perfect. The general tso's had sauce on only about half of the chicken. Finally, the pork fried rice was burnt. I wish it was better, because we love Chinese food in this house. Skip China Wok. read more

3.25 Stars There are some tables but it seems geared more towards carryout. Pro's: The Fried rice is great, esp. the Yang Chow version, not in the dinner combo's because they don't make it the same. Beef Chop Suey is good. Veggies are fresh and chopped coarse. Almond Chicken is good but no almonds and not much lettuce. People are very friendly. Cons: Pot stickers not that good, hot mustard packs could be fresher, General Tso's chicken is just ok. Lo Mein is good but a bit greasy. read more

This family run strip mall storefront is set up for take out with minimal in store seating for eat in. The food is cooked to order from locally obtained fresh ingredients that have been preprocessed on site. The woks and burners are directly observable through the service window. We have eaten takeout about 2-3 times per month for over 10 years and value the highly consistency of the cooking of wok prepared meals. The "small" options on dinner items are generously proportioned for 2 and include rice. The house specialty "Yang Chou fried rice" small order is adequate for 4. Take out orders are filled accurately and ready in 10 minutes; 15-20 minutes during the 5 pm to 6m evening rush. It is possible to order in store. This is well prepared no nonsense working class food at reasonable prices. Those seeking elite, delicate dishes from China Wok have mismatched their choices. read more

Don't go to this place unless you have cash. I ordered a quart of sweet and sour chicken and a quart of chicken fried rice. The total came up to 14.78. I gave the lady my card, and she put in 74.78 instead of 14.78. No receipt came out of the machine, so I told her that it was ok. Something told me to check my bank statement on my phone, and that's when I saw the error. She didn't even know how to refund the over charge. I had to call my bank, so now I gotta wait to get my 60 bucks back. They had the nerve to go in the back talking in their language, and then came out asking for my number, and for me to bring back my bank statement. They even said that they are gonna check their own bank statement. Total bullshit!! I'm not the one that messed up. They messed up. I won't be going back here. read more

Having mixed feelings about this place, ordered two dinners (general tsao and Kung pow chicken) the general tso was very flavorful and spicy just how I like it, alot of rice included, the Kung pow chicken flavor was good but it was all vegetables and only 5 small pieces of chicken Maybe 2 oz worth, I expected more than that, and no peanuts? The dinners don't even come with fortune cookies?! What that's weird..anyways the lady working insisted on cash when paying, she origally charged me 15.80 if I had cash, and only 14.08 if I had credit card. (Yes you read that right).. you can see the kitchen behind the register apparently they cook with the lights off.. maybe that why I only had 5 small pieces of chicken... not sure if health department comes for inspections but they do need to come ASAP.. this is mediocre food, not bad but not great. read more

We order food from here quite often and it is always delicious! Servings are generous and veggies are cooked perfectly. Try the special yang chow fried rice. Loaded with flavors! Beef with broccoli and chicken with peapods are my favorite entrees. read more

The woman at the counter was very nice. Had sesame chicken and almond chicken with fried rice. Chicken was great, rice was a bit bland. I'll probably have to add some things to it. Overall, I would go again. read more

Gross.... the daughter & her friend was in the back preparing food with dirty hands after just cashing me out and touching boxes under the counter. The friend was wiping hands on pants . The food was disgusting... the sauce was to thick with slime texture. The chicken was fried so lightly that it turned to much in the sauce. They are really stingy with the veggies. The overall flavor is lacking & taste like hospital food or some out of a freezer aisle. read more

The food is good enough for a 4-5 star but you need to have a little customer service to earn the extra stars. I didnt plan on leaving a review but after reading a few of these about the payment issue i had to leave my story. My wife went to pick up our food. Ut was 22.48 and she offered her credit card. The old lady told her the fee was too high and asked for cash. My wife said she wanted to use her card and has in the past so whats the problem. The little old lady literally stood on her tip toes to look in my wife's purse and asked her for the $10 bill she saw in it!!! My wife felt bad fo her and gave it to her. Then she put the $12.48 balance on the card. I have checked my bank account to verify. They need to send the little old lady away from the customers. I will pick up the food next time and will let you know how it goes. I should leave 2 star but the food was that good. Just be careful when you go to pay. read more

Got delivery from here today. Was amazing! The chicken fried rice was still steaming hot and tastes wonderful. The crabrangoons were filled with veggies which was a interesting change from other places I've eaten however I was not dissapointed they were really good as well as the steamed dumplings. Would recommend this place to anyone in eastpointe!! read more
