Came here twice this week I've been meaning to try this place for some time! I had a failed meal prep and didn't have much time so this place definitely fit the bill. They were a little over the time that they quoted for pick up which was 20 minutes but that's OK because I'd rather my food be hot and still being cooked and sitting there getting cold for time passing. The staff is very friendly. I don't know why people have been saying they aren't. The place is a little bit older but what can you expect? It's a great Chinese place. You're there for the food not the decor and also it's pretty much a carryout place considering there is only a couple tables to begin with Not really much of a dining room. I had ordered beef egg, foo young lunch portion for both days and both portions were the same and cooked with fresh ingredients. The portions are massive even for lunch. I do recommend coming in and ordering instead of using all the apps you can save some money there. Looking forward to making my regular Chinese spot when I am getting carry out at work. Looking forward to exploring the rest of the menu.

I used to get carry out from here in the late 90's when we lived nearby. It had been years since I did a carry out from here and now I try to get it as much as possible. I love the flavor of everything I've ordered whether it's Szechuan Style Tofu or Shredded Chicken with string beans. My boyfriend said this type of flavor is very Chinatown Style. For me I like anything that uses star anise or Chinese five spice. Portions are great, tastes so good and I usually don't like chicken from Chinese carryout places.

New Wing Hing is my go-to spot in the Troy area. They have delicious Chinese take out, and they are very accommodating. My nephew is a big fan of the fortune cookies, so I request extra, and they give it to me without causing me trouble. The wait time differs, but nothing that's too extreme. The wait time is sometimes 5 mins earlier or 5 mins later, but this is easy to look past since the food is worth it. The restaurant itself is pretty small, so there's no dine-in, but hey what can you expect from a Chinese take out restaurant. Overall, customer service, food quality/quantity, and prices are beyond good. New Wing Hing is one of my favorite spots.

Ordered take out. Sesame chicken was delicious. Crab Rangoon had a lot of onions, but overall pretty good.

Great food, busy carryout location. Their hot and sour soup is the best in the area!

Awful food, even worse people. Incredibly rude to customers! It was the absolute worst customer…read moreexperience I have ever had in a restaurant, take-out or otherwise, by far! The guy "tag-teamed" his wife to come out of the kitchen and bicker with me, right in front of multiple other customers, when I "dared" to speak up about their tone and attitude, then repeatedly pointed to a sign on the wall that said "we match your energy" (AKA: "we reserve the right to be total a****les for any and all perceived slights, real or imagined") when I had the "audacity" to complain about how they spoke to me and my dad on the phone and in-person. They were furious that my elderly dad was "taking too long" to place his order for four people (he was not, at all) and acting like it's somehow our fault that they only have a single phone line. Give me a break (take-out only establishment, by the way). They then proceeded to promptly cancel my dad's order and shoo me out, all the while cussing at me in Mandarin, at which point I walked out of there (for the last time). You would do well to AVOID this place at all costs, trust. Not to mention, I've had their food more than a few times before, and it is not even NEARLY good enough to justify them being this nasty towards their patrons. Their offerings are the very definition of "sodium-infused slop" and "mediocre at best" and they act like we are lucky to be allowed to purchase them. What a joke! Do yourself a HUGE favor (like I did) and pay a little extra for a place with WAY better people and service, and MILES better quality food, places such as Shangri-La (amazing!), for example. Never, ever again. You have been warned!

Oh Szechuan Gourmet, I've got it bad for you. Your food is so good-tasty and fresh, never greasy or…read moresoggy. So fast. So flavorful. Love the husband and wife duo that run this place. BUUT why are you closed every time I'm craving Chinese? I get it. Everyone deserves time off. You're a small family business. Work-life balance, as they say! But I want my (huge, perfectly crisp, bursting with deliciousness) egg rolls dammit! I've even got my parents who live in Arizona hooked on you like a drug. Only to be disappointed whenever they are in town-sure enough you are closed! It's becoming a running joke in my family. I'll call and get a busy signal on your single phone line as many times as it takes (11, to be exact tonight). Today, I hit rock bottom and ended up getting the most awful/greasy/disappointing almond boneless chicken and salty weird wonton soup from another establishment, like an addict who needs her fix). Never again. I understand that good things come to those who wait... I'll keep waiting for you, Szechuan Gourmet. Please be gentle with my heart. And my tastebuds. And my GI tract.
