There's a lot of hype around Ping's and I kind of get it... but also have a really hard time giving it any more than 3 stars. I had friends raving about their experiences at Pings and especially how good the food was, adding the detail that the portion sizes are huge....I'll say the portion size comment is correct, but the rest is really quite subjective and seems to vary quite a bit from dish to dish. I got the Chicken Fried rice and the portion was gigantic; definitely enough for more than one meal! That aspect was great, but the food quality was just... meh. Fine for a very average Chinese takeout, but not deserving of all the accolades I'd heard about Ping's. In general, I think it's definitely worthwhile if you're willing to roll the dice and/or if you're ready to order a lot of options with a group and potentially have a few dishes that are just ok.

ordered in person and had my order ready in 10 mins! super fast service! I ordered the pepper steak. Too much sauce and not too much meat and veggies but the FLAVOR! Fried rice was great. Would definitely come back!

This long metal shaving was inside my egg roll. If swallowed this could cause severe harm. This is not acceptable.

Great Chinese! Best in the area I think. We had crab Rangoon, sesame chicken and Kung Pao chicken.

We ordered a wide variety of dishes to give the menu a fair shot--including fish, noodles, and squid--but unfortunately, nothing quite hit the mark. The dishes either completely lacked flavor, or were aggressively over-seasoned with a chaotic mix of MSG and what looked suspiciously like Red No. 40. To make matters worse, the floors are incredibly sticky. I could literally hear the audio track of my shoes peeling off the ground with every single step to our table. The silver lining here was the service. Our server was genuinely friendly and attentive. I just wish the kitchen and the floor mop shared that same dedication!

There were two dining rooms with the back one reserved for private events and/or overflow if the front one was fully occupied. The decor was pretty plain for a Cantonese cuisine restaurant. One aspect I noticed right way was how slippery the floor was. I don't know if they didn't use enough water to rinse off the residue from cleaning, but even my mom made the same observation which was not good given her compromised mobility. Our group ordered five dim sum offerings and two noodle dishes for our meal. * Deep Fried Shrimp Balls * Pan-Fried Turnip Cake * Rice Roll with BBQ Pork * Steamed Beancake Skin Roll * Steamed Chives Dumpling * Beef Chow Fun (wet style) * Singapore Vermicelli The turnip cake and the rice roll were the best items of the lunch. The cake had more turnip bits and less filler than other places that serve this dim sum staple. The roll was very soft and had a good proportion of char sui inside the rice wrapping. The two noodle dishes were less impressive. We picked a wet style preparation of the Beef Chow Fun because it was healthier and had stalks of bok choy on the side. Each dim sum order was $4.99 while the noodle entrees were $16.50 apiece. A cash discount of 10% was applied to our check which made dining here an even better value. There were hits and misses with our food. I gave our dining experience at Oceania Inn a 3.5 star rating with the main negative being the ambiance or lack thereof.

It wasn't crazy busy but I know our server had a few tables. We waited about 10+ minutes for our drinks to the point that I walked up to the bar to grab our own. It was 95 degrees outside and we were really in need of something to drink. Our food (2 kids meals and a gf meal) were eventually served. I requested extra sauce on the side and an extra kid meal to split. No sauce and it seemed like the 3rd kid meal wasn't entered as it was served after we were done. My meal (spicy Chang's chicken full size) was meager at best. I am used to taking some food home but finished it all. I'm thinking the portions are now also reduced yet not the prices. The kids meal seemed to have more good than my $20 dish. We had to ask for refill on our waters and flag the server down. Why though? Lastly, the bill came and no fortune cookies. In the grand scheme of things ids no big deal I guess but when we go frequently and this seems to be a regular occurrence, it makes me not want to go back and support. I still tipped +20% but I know I should not have. I just feel bad not tipping. Further, that server was also not new, seem them several times there. P.F. Chang's, get your affairs in order. You cannot sustain a business in the village of Rochester keeping up such foolery and ridiculousness. You can do better. Sincerely, A soon to be ex rewards member.

We ordered steamed shrimp dumplings, crispy honey shrimp and orange chicken. My only concern was that the food was not piping hot- which in my opinion it should have been given it was not very busy (we had an early dinner). It was not bad enough to send back but I would have appreciated it if the food was hotter.
