Chicken Pad Thia. Thia food is now being offered here.
    Brian L.

I frequent here a bit and was surprised to see that a whole separate menu for Pad Thia was available. I've only had the Pad Thia with chicken so far and it was pretty good. Huge portion size at a very reasonable price. I usually just order the Almond Chicken combo, and I didn't really stray from that this time either. Instead of the combo I ordered a quart size container of it to split with someone. For less than $10.00 I couldn't believe the amount of food that they packed into the container. Always done just right ... crunchy and tasty!

Wasn't much to comment upon. Maybe business day had been stressful but we were never even checked in on while we dined.

The ABC chicken was not my favorite, but it never has been. The gravy was pretty good, much better than some I've had. The wonton soup tasted very good; had about four wontons and a decent amount of bok choy and sprouts. Plus, they have the good crispy, flat rice noodles! Don't skip on the rolls - so yummy! - and the egg rolls. I always add hot mustard for a lil extra something! Overall - some of the best Chinese we've had in a while. Every meal comes with your choice of soup and an egg roll, along with a generous entrée--and honestly, I've never had a bad meal here. I've been here more than 20 times, and the consistency is impressive. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The team really goes out of their way to make every customer feel welcome and appreciated. The atmosphere is what you'd expect from a classic Chinese restaurant--nothing fancy, but always clean and comfortable. And really, when the food and service are this good, what more do you need? This is a restaurant that I would definitely drive out of my way for.

We ordered a wide variety of dishes to give the menu a fair shot--including fish, noodles, and squid--but unfortunately, nothing quite hit the mark. The dishes either completely lacked flavor, or were aggressively over-seasoned with a chaotic mix of MSG and what looked suspiciously like Red No. 40. To make matters worse, the floors are incredibly sticky. I could literally hear the audio track of my shoes peeling off the ground with every single step to our table. The silver lining here was the service. Our server was genuinely friendly and attentive. I just wish the kitchen and the floor mop shared that same dedication!

There were two dining rooms with the back one reserved for private events and/or overflow if the front one was fully occupied. The decor was pretty plain for a Cantonese cuisine restaurant. One aspect I noticed right way was how slippery the floor was. I don't know if they didn't use enough water to rinse off the residue from cleaning, but even my mom made the same observation which was not good given her compromised mobility. Our group ordered five dim sum offerings and two noodle dishes for our meal. * Deep Fried Shrimp Balls * Pan-Fried Turnip Cake * Rice Roll with BBQ Pork * Steamed Beancake Skin Roll * Steamed Chives Dumpling * Beef Chow Fun (wet style) * Singapore Vermicelli The turnip cake and the rice roll were the best items of the lunch. The cake had more turnip bits and less filler than other places that serve this dim sum staple. The roll was very soft and had a good proportion of char sui inside the rice wrapping. The two noodle dishes were less impressive. We picked a wet style preparation of the Beef Chow Fun because it was healthier and had stalks of bok choy on the side. Each dim sum order was $4.99 while the noodle entrees were $16.50 apiece. A cash discount of 10% was applied to our check which made dining here an even better value. There were hits and misses with our food. I gave our dining experience at Oceania Inn a 3.5 star rating with the main negative being the ambiance or lack thereof.

When I finally took a spoonful, it was way over-salted. I dropped a couple fried wontons into the container, to see if that would help. That's when I discovered that the fried wontons have a sugar coating on them. That clinched the fact that I'm not eating the soup. The egg roll was pretty good. I opened up the combination dinner. It was a huge portion of steaming hot fried rice and a decent helping of chicken lo mein. Unfortunately the chicken lo mein was coated in a very sweet hoisen sauce, thick and super sweet. This is not really the typical lo mein kind of sauce that I was expecting. The dish was mostly noodles, chicken and sauce. There were three snow pods in the meal and two matchstick carrots. As I lifted the noodles, the whole bottom was swimming in that sweet hoisen sauce. This place has gotten some good reviews, so I may give them another try but definitely not ordering the lo mein any more.
