I had cashew chicken. I'm not sure what the "meat" was. It was mushy and slimy. Had to remove it to eat the vegetables. Fried rice had no flavor. The almond boneless chicken wasn't much better, very odd tasting. Maybe we gave them a 2nd chance on a bad day. We won't return. read more

Absolutely amazing egg rolls (both roasted pork and shrimp) and crab rangoons! My new fave in the area. Chicken Lo Mein is incredible and a great price! My husband loved the Sesame Chicken and fried rice. In a previous visit I tried the chicken moo shu pork and I also really enjoyed that as well. The only complaint I have is the soups are very bland. Re-opened in early March 2024. ( previously Asian Kitchen). I've ordered takeout twice since they reopened and pleasantly surprised with both the quality and quantity of the food I've had. Szechaun chicken had fresh stir fried vegetables along with a light sauce that had a nice subtle kick to it. My wife likes their Lo Mein. You can tell if an Asian restaurant is going to be good based on how good their egg rolls are. I rate their egg roll (8 out of 10) I tried their pork egg fu young and it's ok. Hot & sour soup is quite good with just the right amount of heat. (9 out of 10) Lake Orion could desperately use another good Asian restaurant so it's nice welcome Twin Dragons back. read more

I don't know where to start. Ordered the almond chicken. Too much breading, but the chicken itself was the real problem. Very dry with an odd texture and taste. Not edible. My dog didn't even want it - he spit the piece out that I gave him. Oh, and stale fortune cookies. The rice and almond gravy was fine - and the only part of the meal that I could eat. read more

Just ordered yesterday and was amazed by the quality. I don't think I've ever written a yelp review but wanted to since the food was 10/10. We got sweet and sour chicken, almond chicken, crab Rangoon, and two egg rolls. Everything was phenomenal, portions were good, enough for three people with leftovers. The chicken was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Rice was packed with flavor, egg rolls cooked to perfection, and crab Rangoon was perfectly flaky & crispy on the outside while sweet & creamy on the inside. I almost ordered from them again today because it was so delicious. For pickup it was 15 minutes and under $30 ordering direct to store. Definitely the best Chinese food in town. read more

You know I found this place by looking for good reviews so I thought I'd try them out. So I was around 6pm on a Sunday and I called them to make sure they did dine in seating and not just carry out which she replied yes we have seating. So packed up my family qnd we got there around 6:30ish and the lady then tells me after we sat done at a table. "Sorry we are no longer doing dine in" the fact that she said yes a half hour prior is what pissed me off. 2 hrs before closing and they did not allow us to sit and order. So we left and went to another Chinese restaurant that allowed us to dine in. read more

I'm from NYC so Chinese food means something very specific to me. These folks nail it. Great flavor, fresh and quality ingredients, nice portions, fast, clean and delicious. The people are very nice too. Lovely owners. My wife generally doesn't like Chinese food and was Ravi g about this place. If I could change one thing it would be the dumplings. I prefer the new year style thicker rounder dumpling. These more closely resembles gyuza or Japanese dumpling.still very good but I'm a nerd. I get it though , the new year style are a pain in the ass to make. I've done it. Anyway if you are looking for great Chinese takeout look no further. read more

For 2 dinner combos (We had chicken, rice, and an egg roll), an egg drop soup and 1 sprite for $20.00. Now that's a good deal. But, I do have to admit none of the flavors wowed me here. I am knocking one star off for dining in on a Friday night 8:45 pm, we were served our food in to-go boxes and had to ask for lids later for the soup. They didn't close until 10. That was an obvious nobody wanted to do the dishes technique. We were the only ones in there and the food was piping hot and nothing was bad. I'd say this is a solid 3 star joint, with the biggest plus being affordability. read more

Seems they changed ownership and reopened. We got mooshu chicken, wonton soup, egg rolls and mapo tofu. Egg rolls were tasty but tiny! Like spring rolls. Wonton soup tasted right. Mapo tofu was very bland. Mooshu, if you didn't know, comes with pancakes and you make little wraps. These pancakes were dry and cracked. Barely any chicken in the mooshu almost all cabbage and little sauce. They give almond cookies in addition to fortune cookies, and they were tasty. Won't allow family to go back. I'll push to get Thai from near Buddy's instead. read more

Short version: Nope. Just nope. Long version. The wife and I were out and promised to bring home Chinese takeout for the kids, but we were away from our usual joint. So I fired up Yelp and found decent reviews for this place located on our way home. 15 minutes later we picked up an order of Sweet and Sour Chicken and Almond Boneless Chicken to go. My kids obviously aren't "foodies". The inside of the restaurant is your typical probably-clean-enough-to-pass-inspection Chinese takeout storefront. There was a sushi counter near the register that was packed with random restaurant supplies and not ready for anyone to make sushi anytime soon, some warm cans of soda on the shelves, cracked linoleum tiles on the floor, worn paint on the walls, and half the owner's family hanging out doing homework and the other half busily cranking out the food. At least it was busy, I thought; it can't be too bad. They don't take Amex, but they take Visa. Once at home, I took the food out of the bag and started serving the kids. It didn't look right. Yes, it was what I ordered, but... The sweet and sour chicken was just a box of fried things with a side of sauce. Doesn't anyone put vegetables or pineapples in this dish anymore? The chicken was so heavily battered you could barely tell there was any chicken inside at all. I cut a piece open to check, and yep, there was a sliver of chicken embedded inside a that deep-fried ball of batter. Big, greasy balls of tasteless batter. The almond chicken was unlike any other similarly-named dish I'd ever seen in my entire life. It was a chicken breast, pounded flat and then pan-fried until it was chicken jerky. It wasn't heavily breaded, but it had this hard-shell cracker-like coating on it. And I don't know what the side of brown sauce was that came with it, but it wasn't the typical almond chicken gravy that literally every other Chinese takeout I've been to in my life has used. To be clear, I'm fine with "different", if the difference is good. This wasn't. The kids ended up eating a little of it, then we threw the rest in the trash. read more

Messed up my takeout order. When I tried to call to let them know, no one would answer the phone (multiple attempts). When I drove back to the restaurant, they couldn't make my correct order because they were too busy and ran out of chicken. Of times I have eaten here, the food was bland at best. Don't go there. I ordered food for my husband and I on my way home in a snowstorm. I was the only one in there waiting and it still took 45 minutes. My sweet-and-sour shrimp was so heavily breaded that the breading was raw in the middle. When I got home I realized the dish consisted of heavily breaded shrimp in a box with some overly sweet sauce on the side. I also ordered three rolls of sushi but only received two which we did not eat due to the fact that the tuna wrapped around the outside of the roll was dry and gray. They also forgot the noodles I ordered. The woman taking the orders and packing them up was in a horrible mood and kept screaming at the cooks in Chinese. My husband loved his general tso's chicken though. Maybe stick to the classic staples? read more

I am partial to Carrie Lee's in Lake Orion but this is around the corner frm me so I tried it last night. Sweet and sour chicken, and a pair of egg rolls. Chicken was tender but not crispy, the sauce was perfect. Egg rolls were decent but only had packets of plum and hot mustard? Make your own! Rice was exceptional fried with peas and carrots. Prompt service and really the only disappointment was the under fried chicken. I'll be back for sure. Way better than Oceania read more

I have found my new favorite Chinese takeout restaurant!!! I have been searching for a Chinese takeout to compete with my two favorite places in Ann Arbor and Detroit. I tried a dozen different restaurants and haven't been able to find one until now. Granted, I only tried this place once but it was amazing!! My husband and I shared the Mongolian Beef, wonton soup, crab cheese and 2 pork egg rolls. They do not have the Mongolian beef as a dinner combination but it's still worth getting. The food came out quickly within 15 mins and was fresh. Everything tasted great and I will definitely return soon. read more

Came here once last year and was pretty much kicked out. The cook spoke no English and was the only person in the building. He used a translator app to tell us he can't help us and pointed us out the door. Okay, fine. We came on a bad day. No big deal. Decided to give them another chance today. Ordered chicken chow mein, got all the way home and found a chicken soup dish. Went back and they told me that soupy dish is what it was. I may not be Chinese or an expert on Chinese food, but I know what Chow Mein looks like. It's a stir-fried noodle dish, not a soup. Every other Chinese place I went to will tell you it's a stir fried dish. The lady told me this was their style of chow mein and it's how they make it. Well, if that's the case, to avoid further confusion, because I'm positive I'm not the only one with this issue, perhaps write it into the menu that you guys make your own special soupy edition of it. I'm a huge lover of Chinese food so I was so worried that I wouldn't find a great place to replace the one from my hometown when moving here. Twin dragons is actually the best I've ever had anywhere. The almond chicken was absolutely incredible and the gravy is as well. We also ordered teriyaki chicken which came on top of grilled onions with sesame seeds. The lo mein was similar to the one back home but had onions and something else in it which made it much more flavorful. The egg foo young was okay, but it didn't have those odd noodles that I'm used to it having so it was like eating a Chinese omelette. I'm sure I will be returning and eating here very often. I really appreciated how obviously clean the restaurant was. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu. I would highly recommend! read more
