I only tried their chicken fried rice but it was very good and the service was equally as nice. I'm only rating it 4 stars because I only tried a single item and find it difficult to give 5 stars without having tried multiple items to give a better assessment. I will definitely return to try more of what they have to offer!! read more

Food is piping hot, so be careful. The lunch special is cheap & food was quick. Good wonton soup, fried rice has a yummy char & delicious. General tso was a little sweet for my taste. Some pieces were crunchy, some were a little soggy. I will have to try a different item next time. They also offer bubble tea here too. read more

Yuck! This place is a pit! Red flag #1: the carry-out menu proclaims in large dark font, "No Return or Refund Available". There's a reason they print that... Chicken meat was old and chewy with brown streaks, it was deep fried extra well-done, probably to kill excess bacteria. Shrimp was the very small salad size. Fried rice was the cheap Minute Rice variety made with zero effort, creativity, taste, or toppings. The eggrolls are the same cheap pre-frozen ones most every Chinese restaurant sells. Even the fortune cookie was stale. The interior was small, grimy and cramped like a closet. Payment was slipped through a plastic flap cut into a Covid-era plastic window. Bad food and a waste of money. Avoid. read more

I ordered a family meal for five and a family meal for four for a Christmas gathering. Placed the order on Friday for pick up on Saturday afternoon. Food was hot and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Thank you, New China King. read more

I had the pepper chicken and fried rice and both were excellent. Much better than what passes for Chinese in Port Huron

Literally just the worst customer service in the world and honestly the food is not great there are definitely better spots in town!

This is strictly a bubble tea review. I've been on the search for some good bubble tea and driving all over for it. But a true gem is only five minutes from me. I got 50% sweetness and tapioca boba in both drinks. It was delicious. It was way better than the places where I had to spend $6 to $7.50 on some fancy nonsense. After all my searching, Thai tea and Taro are my favorite flavors. Next time I'll get some food and I'm sure that'll be delicious as well. read more

New China King.... More like "Old China King" I've had their food once before.... It was extremely greasy and deep fried tasting... So in fashion I'd like to give a restaurant a 2nd try to redeem themselves.... Well this is once location I'll be riding from my list for once and for good My GF and I received take out, they said 20min soft pickup... my GF got there and waited another 10min to get the food. I received the General To's medium spicy with white rice and came with broccoli. White rice cooked fine and the broccoli was cooked fine... That's all the fine I can give. The chicken pieces were tough here and there, the breading was SUPER thick and taste of deep fry oil. I also admit the sauce wasn't great either... On the side my GF enjoyed her meal with no issues... Overall as I said above I'll will never be back read more

We needed a new Chinese restaurant as most of them are closed due to COVID19. I went to Yelp for assistance and found New China King close by and open. They don't have curbside pickup but they have blocked off everything but a small portion of the restaurant. When you walk in there is a wooden barrier setup with Plexiglas barrier between the customer and employee. They also have a window that raises and lowers as the food or money is passed through. The credit card machine is outside the window. It is an unique set up and seems to work. We ordered almond boneless chicken with white rice and gravy on the side and Kung Pao chicken with fried rice. The food was an excellent, my wife who eats the almond boneless was very happy about the gravy, said was better than most. I had the Kung Pao chicken and thought it was better than most. The vegetables were cut and cooked well and just the right amount of peanuts. To many peanuts can be annoying. I thought the fried rice tasted good. read more

Meh not that great. Food was cold and crab ragoon barely cooked, the sweet and sour chicken was not either sweet or sour...

A new Chinese restaurant in the area and I couldn't wait to try it! Like other Chinese restaurants the menu is huge! I ordered the sesame chicken combo served with rice and egg roll. The chicken pieces are pretty huge so you have to fork and knife them. The fried rice is probably the best rice I have ever had! Nice and fresh. The meals are plentiful and you will most likely have leftovers. I wasn't very fond of the egg roll, which was a huge disappointment for me. The egg roll is made with cabbage instead of bean sprouts so the taste is not the same. New China King has lunch specials and lunch combos. You can order online thru their website (http://www.nck586.com) Fast and friendly staff. Everything is made to order, which is probably the best part. Mostly a carryout place but a few seats to eat your meal at. Very clean and prices are great for the amount of food you get. Can't wait to come back in the future! read more

Best Chinese food I had in a long time! Always taste good and prepared the same way, it never changes.

Too bad I like their food because the customer service is crap. Twice in the past 3 weeks we have ordered and they forgot something. Last time it was my wife Sweet and Sour Sauce for her SWEET & SOUR CHICKEN! This latest was my sauce for my dumplings. Both times we went back and got what was forgotten. Nothing from them to right the issues just handing us what they forgot. I asked them to remake my dumplings as mine were cold or give me $5 credit to the next order as this is the 2nd time we've been inconvenienced. They remade them but wouldn't give me them unless I gave them the original ones, WTF! Lol. So now they will throw those out and I'm home with cold dumplings going in the micro and they gave me an egg roll Unreal. read more

Chinese food is good and quality. Took a star away because their fortune cookies don't have fortunes in them. And that's just really kind of sad. But, the food is good. So just order it. read more

Don't waste your hard earned money. Over priced lunch menu. The fried rice with the meal is like Uncle Ben's instant rice. Every other Chinese restaurant near me use Jasmine rice. My lunch the chicken tasted more like mystery meat. Okay my luncheon was to have pork in it. Three small pieces of pork and pile of veggies. They I would they where limp, not crunchy. Asked for mild and got burn the roof of your mouth off. The only reason we went there is our regular restaurant was closed. At one time the New China King had excellent food... read more

Pretty decent Chinese food. We both ordered medium spice on our food, and it wasn't that spicy at all. The crab ragoons were awesome!! The wonton soup, was just okay. Overall we would order again. If you like spicy tho order hotter then medium. read more

What a friendly and helpful staff, along with great fresh food! My husband went in to order for us. Mentioned I am gluten free. While the girl at the desk was not very knowledgeable on the gluten free offerings, a woman came out from the back, and was very knowledgeable and helpful. They had a kitchen list of GF offerings. I had the garlic szechuan chicken made gluten free. It was outstanding! Had tons of fresh veggies, very tender chicken, and a sauce adapted the GF. I LOVED IT. My husband really enjoyed his pork fried rice. The woman offered a house hot mustard sauce that he really enjoyed. It was very hot, but full of flavor. Even their white rice was tender, without being mushy. We will definitely be back. Sorry we didn't take pictures. Next time! read more

Absolutely LOVE this place. The best Chinese restaurant around here. I love them. The food taste AMAZING here every single time. Definitely will recommend this place a million times. read more

Glad we finally tried this little spot. We had sweet and sour chicken along with the pu pu platter. Everything was good. Very good service , actually called to substitute an item. We ordered online. Serve burnt food would not remake they say they have to cook well done/burnt for safety reason. other restaurants cook the food without burning it. They stated if they replaced my order, they would have to replace all customer complaint about food and they can not afford to do that. That tell me there are alot of complaints do not order from New China King. read more

Nothing makes me happier than eating Chinese food (and a few other things) Nothing makes me quite sad like eating bad Chinese food. New China King is a new carry out Chinese restaurant in Chesterfield/New Baltimore. In the few months that it's been open, I've tried to give it a fair chance since it is so close to my house. At first, the food was alright. In the visits since? Not so much. I'm not much into mixing up my order while ordering Chinese. Sesame chicken, fries rice, and an egg roll is my favorite and that's generally what I stick to. The chicken here is in large chunks. Most of the time I need a knife and fork just to eat it. This normally wouldn't be a problem if I didn't constantly feel bones in my chicken. The rice? It's probably the best thing that I've had from there. Not exactly something amazing. Not exactly awful either. The egg roll? Don't try them. I'm not one to tell someone not to try something but trust me on this wasn't. They're not that good. Also, their noodles and fortune cookies continually taste like they're expired. Not fresh by any means. The workers also do not wear any hair nets. If you have the time, please drive the extra 2 miles and grab some scrumptious Chinese food from Leong's. You'll get better food for an even better price. read more

Some of the best Chinese food in the Chesterfield/New Baltimore area. Open kitchen and made to order. Never had a bad meal. And the young girl cashier is always pleasant, efficient and doing homework lol, but polite read more

Run of the mill Chinese food. Nothing here really stood out or impressed me. The lo mein was good although a little sweet which was odd. The almond boneless chicken and the sesame chicken was good but nothing to write home about. read more

The food was really good, however, the Lomein sauce was a bit too salty for me, but it's just my personal opinion. The beef was fresh and tender. I didn't have to over chew. The Almond Chicken was also good. The white rice that we requested to have with the combo was the best rice I've had from a chinese restaurant. It tasted like fresh homemade rice and trust me, I'm asian and I've ate a lot of rice. Good food and friendly people. I'll definitely order again. read more

cashew chicken had no cashews just crumbs, and barely any chicken. went back and asked if order was correct and they accused me of eating all the chicken. this place sucks, they are extremely rude and don't care about customers. if you are in the mood for crappy Chinese takeout with a**hole owners, this is the place to go. I am pretty surprised to read the other reviews regarding this restaurant. We usually go to Leongs because it is the only place in the area but the food there is as "Americanized" Chinese food as you can get - lots of breading and sauces without distinct flavors. New China King was fresh, not greasy and flavorful without a huge read more

I ordered Steak Kow and a pint of Beef Fried Rice on the phone. I was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived at 25 minutes later and paid $20.30 cash. I then waited over 40 minutes more from my order. It took over an hour to make my food. The container of Steak Kow was small and it was only lukewarm. Both the Steak Kow and Beef Fried Rice tasted mediocre. The other Chinese Restaurants in the area have better food, better value for the price, and faster service. I won't buy from New China King again. read more

The food at this place is amazing. The service can be a little lacking at times, however, you have to roll with those punches right now if you are eating in a restaurant as it's difficult to find employees. read more

Actually, I'd give this place a 4.5 star rating. I ordered the Szechuan-style Lo Mein. It had chicken, shrimp and pork in it with a slow burn and was very good. The crab Rangoon was rich and slightly sweet like I like it. The lack of 0.5 is due to the obvious focus on the food. Not so much the store front ambiance and I just would have liked the flavor to have stood out more than the level of heat/spiciness in my meal, but it was still quite good nonetheless. I'd come back here again and will tell all my friends about this place! read more

This was my first time ordering from here. The girl behind the cashier was very smart and thorough. I give her credit as she has to be only around 11 or 12. The kung pao chicken was sweet, not spicy. There was more vegetables than chicken in the quart. Since my daughter and I don't like most of the vegetables, this was not enough to fill us up The rice was cooked well I probably wouldnt order from here again. read more

I got sick after eating. First of all, for Chinese food, my meal was overly salty. The "sauce" that came with my egg roll didn't taste right...maybe I'm used to the generic watery sauce from other places but theirs is thicker than usual and was just orange slush. How do I know it was their food that made me sick? I occasionally fast 24 hours and decided to break my fast with this meal. read more

Sometimes hit or miss on the meat quality, but overall decent food. Usually only order carry out once in a while from here, wish I liked it better I would order more. Prices are decent- not cheap, not expensive. read more
