Yuck! This place is a pit! Red flag #1: the carry-out menu proclaims in large dark font, "No Return or Refund Available". There's a reason they print that... Chicken meat was old and chewy with brown streaks, it was deep fried extra well-done, probably to kill excess bacteria. Shrimp was the very small salad size. Fried rice was the cheap Minute Rice variety made with zero effort, creativity, taste, or toppings. The eggrolls are the same cheap pre-frozen ones most every Chinese restaurant sells. Even the fortune cookie was stale. The interior was small, grimy and cramped like a closet. Payment was slipped through a plastic flap cut into a Covid-era plastic window. This is strictly a bubble tea review. I've been on the search for some good bubble tea and driving all over for it. But a true gem is only five minutes from me. I got 50% sweetness and tapioca boba in both drinks. It was delicious. It was way better than the places where I had to spend $6 to $7.50 on some fancy nonsense. New China King.... More like "Old China King" I've had their food once before.... It was extremely greasy and deep fried tasting... Well this is once location I'll be riding from my list for once and for good My GF and I received take out, they said 20min soft pickup... my GF got there and waited another 10min to get the food. I received the General To's medium spicy with white rice and came with broccoli. White rice cooked fine and the broccoli was cooked fine... That's all the fine I can give. The chicken pieces were tough here and there, the breading was SUPER thick and taste of deep fry oil. I also admit the sauce wasn't great either... We needed a new Chinese restaurant as most of them are closed due to COVID19. I went to Yelp for assistance and found New China King close by and open. They don't have curbside pickup but they have blocked off everything but a small portion of the restaurant. When you walk in there is a wooden barrier setup with Plexiglas barrier between the customer and employee. They also have a window that raises and lowers as the food or money is passed through. The credit card machine is outside the window. It is an unique set up and seems to work. We ordered almond boneless chicken with white rice and gravy on the side and Kung Pao chicken with fried rice. The food was an excellent, my wife who eats the almond boneless was very happy about the gravy, said was better than most. I had the Kung Pao chicken and thought it was better than most. The vegetables were cut and cooked well and just the right amount of peanuts. To many peanuts can be annoying. I thought the fried rice tasted good. read more

A new Chinese restaurant in the area and I couldn't wait to try it! Like other Chinese restaurants the menu is huge! I ordered the sesame chicken combo served with rice and egg roll. The chicken pieces are pretty huge so you have to fork and knife them. The fried rice is probably the best rice I have ever had! Nice and fresh. The meals are plentiful and you will most likely have leftovers. I wasn't very fond of the egg roll, which was a huge disappointment for me. The egg roll is made with cabbage instead of bean sprouts so the taste is not the same. New China King has lunch specials and lunch combos. Serve burnt food would not remake they say they have to cook well done/burnt for safety reason. other restaurants cook the food without burning it. What a friendly and helpful staff, along with great fresh food! My husband went in to order for us. Mentioned I am gluten free. While the girl at the desk was not very knowledgeable on the gluten free offerings, a woman came out from the back, and was very knowledgeable and helpful. They had a kitchen list of GF offerings. I had the garlic szechuan chicken made gluten free. It was outstanding! Had tons of fresh veggies, very tender chicken, and a sauce adapted the GF. I LOVED IT. New China King is a new carry out Chinese restaurant in Chesterfield/New Baltimore. In the few months that it's been open, I've tried to give it a fair chance since it is so close to my house. At first, the food was alright. In the visits since? Not so much. I'm not much into mixing up my order while ordering Chinese. Sesame chicken, fries rice, and an egg roll is my favorite and that's generally what I stick to. The chicken here is in large chunks. Most of the time I need a knife and fork just to eat it. This normally wouldn't be a problem if I didn't constantly feel bones in my chicken. The rice? It's probably the best thing that I've had from there. Not exactly something amazing. Not exactly awful either. The egg roll? Don't try them. I'm not one to tell someone not to try something but trust me on this wasn't. They're not that good. Also, their noodles and fortune cookies continually taste like they're expired. Not fresh by any means. The workers also do not wear any hair nets. If you have the time, please drive the extra 2 miles and grab some scrumptious Chinese food from Leong's. You'll get better food for an even better price. read more

I ordered Steak Kow and a pint of Beef Fried Rice on the phone. I was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived at 25 minutes later and paid $20.30 cash. I then waited over 40 minutes more from my order. It took over an hour to make my food. The container of Steak Kow was small and it was only lukewarm. Both the Steak Kow and Beef Fried Rice tasted mediocre. The other Chinese Restaurants in the area have better food, better value for the price, and faster service. Actually, I'd give this place a 4.5 star rating. I ordered the Szechuan-style Lo Mein. It had chicken, shrimp and pork in it with a slow burn and was very good. The crab Rangoon was rich and slightly sweet like I like it. The lack of 0.5 is due to the obvious focus on the food. The "sauce" that came with my egg roll didn't taste right...maybe I'm used to the generic watery sauce from other places but theirs is thicker than usual and was just orange slush.
