Went in to try this place for lunch. Immediately greeted and menu thoroughly explained. You order at the counter or on a touch screen menu. Menu on wall with one printed menu to share for restaurant. Milk tea and boba drinks. Food was delivered piping hot to our table. A friend and I both tried the chili oil splashed noodles and added in some chicken for protein. Was a good spice level and was very tasty. Great amount of garlic. My friend ordered hers less spicy and she also enjoyed. A little bit small on the portion but was good price. Another friend in our party ordered the Golden Broth Beef Vermicelli which looked good and was steaming hot! Fast casual style vibe but seats were comfy and we sat and talked for a while. Would defintely go back and try more things.

Lamb soup 水盆羊肉

Wonderful experience. Tried some very authentic and unique items from Xi'an. Loved the date cake. Came warm, fresh and not too sweet. First time trying the lamb soup and it tasted amazing! Soul-warming on a cold day. Also a good amount of lamb inside. Service is also excellent. Place is nice and clean! Would return!

Pork rib clay pot

I came excited to try their clay pots but was sadly disappointed because it is wayyy too much spicy oil. The broth is utterly not drinkable. It came with literally two small pork ribs that were bathed in chili oil. The majority of it was rice noodle, again in hot chili oil that was unpleasant. I tried to spoon some of the chili oil out (spiciness was good but too oily) but there was just more and more under. I might try their other dishes next time but would not get this again. This would have been a 1 star but the service was decent and the workers there were nice.

Fun, clean, and casual restaurant with very friendly staff who are very welcoming and accommodating. The noodles were delicious and was just spicy enough.

Ordered the oil splashed noodles and the pork bun. Self service was nice and fast, cute cafe styled place to enjoy the taste of Xi'An.

The pork soup dumplings were so…read morebrothy and warm, and the beef soup had a lighter flavor than expected, but was still SO good nonetheless (would recommend adding a bit of chili oil and soy sauce though)! I also LOVED the noodles; they had the best texture and length in the Metro-Detroit area. When it comes to service, there's definitely a "hands-off" approach, as you order via a QR code and a machine brings your dishes to you. However, I was personally a fan of that, and we were still checked on by workers from time to time. Food came fast and I absolutely loved the vibes and interior of the restaurant. Great place and experience overall!

Total plot twist. The place was pretty quiet with only a few diners, so service was steady, though a little slow at times. We ordered the veggie noodles, cucumber salad, lamb skewers, xianbing pancake, and juicy pork dumplings. Overall, the food was decent and comfortably average, but honestly, we were just excited to finally find a Szechuan-style Chinese restaurant nearby. The veggie noodles were the clear winner of the night: chewy, flavorful, and coated in a sauce that had us going back for bite after bite. I could've done without the bok choy, though, and I wish the noodles had been a little less oily. The cucumber salad leaned much sweeter than we expected and was swimming in a bit too much soy sauce for our taste. The pork dumplings were nice and juicy inside, but the wrappers were slightly too doughy. Now the lamb skewers? Absolutely delicious. Great flavor, good portion size, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The biggest disappointment, unfortunately, was the xianbing pancake. It didn't feel authentic at all. The crepe was way too thick, and the crispy crackers inside had lost all crunch and turned soggy instead. Still, the cozy vibe, solid noodles, and tasty skewers made it a worthwhile visit, especially if you're craving Szechuan flavors around Madison Heights.

You have tables to the left and right and large long table in the middle that divide the room. Interesting concept indeed... I guess it allows the customer to have some fun and enjoy throwing different topping items into the hot broth. You can decide which items to add/omit based upon your preferences. Note, you don't have to add all the items. Our favorite broth was the Hot & Sour. The pepper salt fish fillet was good and we also enjoyed the cucumber in sauce (cucumber salad). Worth trying at least once. Next time I'm back, I'll try more items on their snack menu side and rice.

Kung Fu Noodle House did not disappoint. everything was rich in flavor, nice and hot and COVERED the table. Everything tasted fresh and comforting, and nothing was spicy. The tea was also really good. When the cart came around, though... I had no idea what to do or what half the dishes were! Service: The staff was nice and. That said, since we were clearly first timers, I would've loved a little guidance. Even just a quick "these are popular" or "this one's pork, this one's shrimp" would have gone a long way. Ambiance: It's a corner plaza spot and nothing about the space really stood out. It was a Saturday night and there were only two other families dining in, so it felt very quiet. Not a bad thing if you want low-key, just don't go in expecting a buzzy or lively atmosphere. I'd come back for the food, but mostly knowing what to expect next time helps.
