Food was delicious, I tired the drunken noodles with sea food. The flavor was on the spot. The portion was more than enough and easily you can share with someone else. The service was fantastic, the server was very warm and helpful answering all questions and provided recommendations as well. One big point for this place apart from the food being delicious and good amount the food. The place was neat clean and I was surprised to see how clean the restrooms were. Every meal I've had here so far has been great. The customer service is always great too. Orders never take too long whether you're dining in or placing a takeout order. However, I recommend calling in if you can before pickup. They do get quite busy because they are that good. I look forward to coming here more often now that I have a new found love for Thai food. I can't believe I've been missing out on this all of these years. So far my favorite are the pho, yellow curry and seafood curry. Get here soon! read more

This is our go to Thai take out. Usually we order online but it wasn't available this time so Called in our order and was ready fast and food was HOT! They are always friendly and remember Utensils and napkins but not chopsticks. Always get spice levels right. Modest, in and out Thai place. The service is prompt , the food good and the prices are very cheap. They have a complimentary chicken hot and sour soup that comes with the meal. Their crab rangoon was delicious. The drunken noodles I found a tad salty but my friend liked them alright. If you are looking for a nice dine-in experience , this is probably not the right choice. Ambience is simple. The place was almost empty may be cos of it being a Monday evening and they were already cleaning up at 7:45PM. I would recommend this for a quick, inexpensive meal or a take out though. read more

Food was absolutely delicious! If you like spice then order it mild plus. If you like nothing then order it hot! This was my first time dining in because we usually get take out instead. Service was excellent and the egg rolls tasted better hot! Our house is about 20 minutes away so our take out is usually slightly chilled. So if you have time to dine in I would highly suggest it. Also they have a wheelchair accessible bathroom but the accessible parking was in front of their neighbor (some type of urgent care) and it stated for the urgent care only. read more

I pass this place all of the time and finally decided to give it a try. The prices were so great, I ordered tons, but unfortunately there was a sign on the door stating they will be raising their prices Monday (today), so I am no longer sure what price value they offer. The people working seemed friendly. I did not interact that much other than placing an order and picking it up briefly. The place looked small but had places to sit. It looks difficult to get in and out of this strip mall, but it actually is very convenient once you figure it out. We got two noodles, Pad Thai and Pad See-ew with chicken. Both very good. We tried the pineapple curry fried rice. It was tasty, I would like to try the basil rice here. We had the chicken skewers with peanut sauce satay, very good, peanut sauce excellent. We had the Rangoon, crispy rolls, and spring rolls, all crispy and delicious. The plum sauce was good and abundant. Overall a good place to stop and get food. I would like to come back so I hope they do not raise the prices by too much. read more

Appetizers and drinks - Spring rolls were crisp and tasty. Thai Iced Tea they have was very sweet. They do not have an option to reduce the sweetness. Lunch - We ordered green curry, masamun curry and pineapple curry fried rice. But the curries tasted really good and had great spice levels. This is one of the better Thai restaurants around. The ingredients are always fresh and everything is cooked to order. The spice level that your request is always consistent. I've gone here 6 times or so and never had a bad experience. Just be prepared that they might be busy at lunch which is a good thing. read more

Since moving back to the Detroit area after 20 years in San Francisco I've been searching for authentic Thai... Thai Rose is the closest I've found 5 years into my search. Located in a tucked away mini mall off Lapeer Rd, it's a hidden gem.. Besides being a little on the sweet side sometimes it's legit! AMAZING curry's. I do find you need to go for the spiciest setting to get the level I'm use to but the taste is all there. Delicious! read more

Our first time ordering from Thai Rose. We got the chicken basil fried rice and the pork drunken noodle. They asked me for the spice level and I said hot for the drunken noodle- though it was not even spicy at all. The drunken noodle also had a lot more veggies than the noodles. The basil fried rice was good. I would have given this restaurant a 5 if the noodle proportion and spice level was correct. read more

Another on of my favorite type of restaurant. Small unassuming place with what I would consider authentic representation of foreign fare. The restaurant was clean and family friendly. Service was quick, polite and courteous! I would say that the menu was fairly standard selection for most Thai restaurants. We ordered the Phó Soup special, Pork Masuman Curry w/white rice and hot hibiscus tea. The tea was perfect for the cold breezy December afternoon! The Pho came out first, nice and piping hot. The broth was flavorful and on point. The noodles were cooked to perfection as were the rare sliced beef, brisket, beef tripe and meatballs. The meatballs were the most flavorful ones that we've had, considering the amount of Phó that we've consumed during our travels! The Masuman curry with a generous portion of white rice was next! The meat was tender, the potatoes simply melted with each mouthful and the crisp of the bamboo shoots and baby corn complemented the curry dish nicely! I savored every bite! We had hoped to order some deserts, but that will have to wait until our next visit, and we will surely bring our appetite! read more

We were in town visiting relatives and stayed at the hotel that shares the parking lot. We tried to go on a Sunday but they are closed that day! Who wants to go out to eat on a Sunday :( We ended go the following Tuesday. I deducted 1 star right off the bat because they don't have beer. If I'm going for Thai food, with some heat, there's nothing like washing it down with a couple cold Singha's. I was very disappointed. We got there at 7pm and there was one other table occupied. First thing I noticed was the complete lack of atmosphere. Everyting seems to be a prison gray. One wall had some mirrors and decoration but, other than that everything was bare. The tables were also empty (no salt, pepper, soy sauce, etc...). The only music playing was in the kitchen. We got 2 crispy rolls which came out hot, they were very good. Next we ordered the Peanut Sauce dish with shrimp which was also very good. There were only 6 medium shrimp and could have used a few more for the price. We asked for medium heat and it came out that way. Finally, we got the pineapple curry fried rice with pork. This dish was excellent but a word of warning. It is very salty. Other reviews made that a show stopper but I like salt and this was just short of too much. The curry made a huge difference in something that is usually pretty bland. As I mentioned, the tables were bare. We had to wait for our server to ask for a knife, then soy sauce and then napkins. It could be run better. Thai Rose is a great new addition to the Orion/Rochester area! This restaurant is the first full service, sit-down option in the strip mall at Dutton/Lapeer. The interior is clean and fresh with minimal decor and about 6-8 tables. The seem to do a heavy carry-out business, too. The friendly staff is quick to welcome you and get you seated. The menu is smaller than some other Thai restaurants in the area, but it has all of the typical rice, noodle, and curry dishes, as well as Vietnamese Pho dishes, and a full offering of Thai appetizers. The entrees are where Thai Rose shines. The food is great. It is close to the best we've had minus one super authentic option in the Toledo area. We enjoyed a Crab Rangoon appetizer to start and it was fresh and tasty. We were offered hot and sour soup also, but passed, so I can't review that. The spice levels at Thai Rose are perfect. Mild should still have a little kick, so if you don't like spice, ask for no spice. My husband likes his food spicy and medium had the perfect amount in his Pad Thai with chicken. I ordered the Pad Se'eu with chicken and it was great. The portion was large and there was plenty of chicken and broccoli to enjoy. The brown sauce was very tasty. The only downside to our lunch and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the Thai Iced Tea. The tea portion, which should be dark, was super light and watered down. It was such a bummer for us because we love, love it. The restaurant was kind enough to take it off our bill. According to the cashier, they are still working on their formula...so hopefully, I can update this soon with another star! We can't wait to try it again! read more

Love ethnic restaurants like Thai. Love the spices. Although the green curry dish was good it was not the ethnic taste that would bring me back. My medium spice was mild. My husband's basil rice was good, but same thing....the spice was lacking. Then I thought it was just us and the couple sitting next to us said the same thing. Then the crab Rangoon was too "doughy" and lacking stuffing. I want to give every Thai restaurant a great score, but in honesty I cannot. The restaurant needs to knock the flavor out of the park as I suspect many won't dine in a second time when they smell the garbage hill across the street when you walk in. read more

Wonderful little spot just in between Auburn Hills and Lake Orion. Our server was Pang and she was super attentive. She brought hot delicious food, drink refills, and takeout containers promptly. This place is tucked in a plaza hidden behind a Taco Bell that sticks out from the busy road. Its a small little place that has ten tables of four. Basically nine tables as it looks as if they use the one closer to the back for themselves, but im sure if it gets busy they would use. Its a family owned restaurant that has Thai/Vietnamese Dishes. The food is delicious. I needed a break from the clock and had a super late lunch around 2. There was another couple leaving as I walked in, but no other customers. I assume there has to be a lunch crowd. There were consistent take out orders going. I had the kow pad medium, but it was more like mild or maybe they forgot the spices, but it was still very good as is. The hot and sour soup was amazing and piping hot in temperature almost burnt my tongue. Wanted to try the crispy rolls too and yep, those were just as yummy. Delicious! I had chicken pad thai medium spice and the crab ragoons. The crab ragoons were BIG and fried to perfection. I've been looking for a place that makes the chicken pad thai similar to a place I had in Southfield, but none came close like Thai Rose. In fact, a lot of the asian restaurants I've been to around Auburn Hills have been disappointing experiences. It was everything I hoped it would be and I can't wait to try other things on their menu. This Thai newcomer had to be good, opening up in a perpetually 3/4 empty strip mall, across from a landfill on a busy stretch of highway known more for it's fast food joints rather than fine dining. And good it is! I stopped in to avoid a fast food feed and found a diamond in the middle of the rough. Thai Rose impressed with fresh food, lightning service and good value for your dining dollar. The interior is very austere and particularly so with the dining room nearly empty. But light and nice and of course brand new. I ordered green curry with chicken, with a hot and sour soup to start and a Thai iced tea. The tea, soup and curry came out fast, perfect for the local office / industrial park workers in a rush. Me, well I was in no hurry but was hungry so the rapid fire service worked just fine. The hot and sour soup was as advertised, hot and sour and the green curry with chicken was VERY medium in spice and very good in flavor. Plus the portion was huge and the dish popped with vibrant color. Thai iced tea put out the 3 alarm curry fire and was delicious. Oh and the white rice was done perfectly "standing up" in the bowl. I'll have to return to eat the rest of the menu and Thai is thin on the ground in this neck of the woods so I'll definitely be back. So check out this new Thai spot and try the rest of the menu.
