I like that is has a big parking lot and was a tad bit bigger than the one we typically visit. The people working here were so friendly and in the best moods. They were laughing and singing and putting songs on the jukebox. It was a bit of a wait since we came on a Sunday, but it cleared out. I, of course, wanted everything on the menu but I did have to narrow it down. I got the chocolate chip waffle. It was so buttery, gooey, and chocolatey and melts in your mouth. I also had the cheesy grits. I love grits and the bowl was huge. I also ordered a chicken patty melt which is so great. Most places do not make a chicken patty melt and I appreciate the variety. It was really delicious and their Waffle House chipotle sauce is scrumptious. Of course, I never finish my food, the portions are so big. I took it home for dinner and still have a third meal waiting for myself. One child got the big breakfast plus the waffle with every topping and the other got a waffle with chocolate, peanut butter, and blueberry, and a beef patty melt and cheese hashbrowns. My husband got the big breakfast and a waffle as well. We still have so many leftovers, I love the portions, the flavor, and the customization. This is a place we will road trip to again. I wish they would open some locations in metro-Detroit. More than half the cars were from Michigan, we love this restaurant here.

There is plenty of it however this may be a problem for less abled body persons. Most of the folks that come here during the week have been coming for years and years so are not as young as they used to be. Not really anywhere to drop them off. When I came in there was no one at the front entrance so I proceeded to the please seat me sign. I literally stood there longer than it took my food to come out. There were maybe 10 tables. Still work to be done here. Smaller than the old location with tables and booths all within view as you stand there. I was ready to order by the time the server made it to my table to take my drink order and I'm one to waffle over my orde for a bit. Friendly server and efficient once she got started. Got pancakes sausage eggs n potatoes. All came hot and tasty. And you know what? When i put the butter on top it actually melted. Yum. They bring the credit card machine to your table and the server does it all leading to that uncomfortable moment of do you want to leave a tip? Suggest you bring cash for the tip so you can leave what you would like without awkwardness. Give it a few months to get up to speed and drop your less able folks as you enter the lot. The waitress was friendly and accommodating. I ordered Al's breakfast special, 3 eggs of choice, 3 bacon or 3 sausage or ham, hash browns, side of homemade sausage gravy and biscuit or toast. The country gravy had a hint of sage that surprised me. Not my favorite but I did eat all of it. Thank you for the enjoyable breakfast.

But it was, to me, kind of bland, as were the tomatoes and even the onion. Not bad, but when mild mayonnaise dominates the sandwich, it ain't my thing. But I'm a hot sauce enjoyer. To each their own. The fries were a bit better, lightly crisp flour-covered things, but again: kind of unexciting without ketchup. They were fine. The store's decor was mostly mom-n-pop nice, attractive and probably comfortable (I did takeout). The carpet was worn and maybe a bit grimy. I'm thinking that's because of the breakfast and lunch crowd the restaurant attracts, many of whom have been working hard at jobs that get their shoes dirty. No points off for that. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices were good, and the portion they served me was just right for a hungry driver. Parking was easy and the store was easy to find and get to. Overall: fine. Not for me, but I can see why it gets four stars overall.

The menu has a wide range of options to choose from We got the ham & greyere omelette and added spinach which was one of the best omelettes I've had. The combo was a perfect mix of cheese with the saltiness and flavor of the ham. We also got the avocado toast with the basted egg which was very fresh. They used some very fresh avocados, it seems they used the whole avocado cause we surely weren't lacking. The biscuits and gravy were extremely good. The biscuits had a slight crunch and were freshly made. The turkey gravy was flavorful and light The drinks are premade but also very well done. Slightly on the sweeter side but still well done The restaurant was packed with a 15-20 min wait but there's a community table that we sat at and we were seated immediately, fun hack for couples. I was told they don't take reservations but that we could sign in to the waitlist. When we got in there was nobody under our group's name.. not sure if we didn't do it right but was a little confused by that. Either way, we were able to get a table right away, a nice booth in the back at that. It's kid friendly too which is always a plus. There is so much deliciousness on the menu it's great! There is something for everyone and all of it tastes great. I will say the chickichanga I had was a bit spicy but still really good. Also, you have to try the different drinks they have! I got the kale tonic and caramel crunch coffee, both AMAZING! Although if you're lactose intolerant I'd ask for dairy free milk and if you're not into sweet stuff this is probably not for you. I was a little disappointed in the waitress. She was super kind and personable but I felt like she didn't ask enough questions, like when I asked for the coffee she never asked what milk I wanted (I should've clarified but still). I also felt like she didn't show herself enough. It wasn't terribly busy so I felt she could've done better. Otherwise, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I was recently at the Secor Rd location with my mom for a late brunch. Our server was very friendly, nice and it was her second week on the job. From my prior experiences at the Central Rd Scramber's, I would order an omelette that came with potatoes, toast (which I always decline) and an additional side. It didn't occur to me that the Secor Rd Scrambler's franchise would be any different. I ordered my usual omelette with spinach, tomatoes and portobello mushrooms. When asked for my side, I selected the fresh fruit. I was asked for another side and ordered pancakes that I knew my mom would enjoy taking home. My mom ordered three eggs over easy with two sausage patties, pancakes and a fruit salad. While waiting for our orders to be prepared, it occurred to me that I wasn't asked about which potatoes I wanted. When our orders were served, I mentioned to our server that there weren't any potatoes. She said she would put in an order of potatoes and bring them out. There was no discussion about price. My mom enjoyed her meal and I enjoyed mine as well, except that I noticed there was far less spinach than usual. I didn't mention it to our server. The omelette was tasty; the fruit salad was fresh; and the potatoes that came later were plentiful and not greasy. For drinks, my mom ordered coffee and I ordered an Arnold Palmer (iced tea and lemonade). I finished my drink and wasn't offered a refill but also didn't ask. Since drinks these days run $3.99, usually the server would pretty promptly bring a refill without the need to ask. Since I realize our server was new, it wasn't a big deal. When the bill came, I was surprised to see the charge of approximately $43 before tip. In reviewing the bill, there was a charge of $4.99 for the potatoes that normally came as a side with an omelette. There was also an upcharge for the pancakes side. When I inquired about these unexpected charges, our server said she would discuss it with her manager. Upon returning, our server informed me that the manager agreed to take $1 off. To me, the $4.99 potatoes should have been comp'd as the usual omelette side. My mom didn't want me to make a fuss, so I just paid the bill but left feeling that it wasn't fair. Given that our server was new, I didn't blame her at all but did feel that the manager missed an opportunity to come out to speak with us and take more than $1 off the bill. While I might return to this Scrambler's due to its convenient location, I would be cognizant of the new charges for sides which would have otherwise been included in the brunch entree price. I also want other customers to be aware to ask the price of sides even if they are presented as part of the order. Food was overall good but the bill seemed overpriced and irked me.
